NFS Hot Pursuit 3

Pre-ordered, played demo, canceled. played demo some more, pro-ordered again. GT5 comes out a week later - canceled again. Was at Best Buy today and they had full game on demo to play... drove a Zonda (i think)...came home and pre-ordered again.

This game has excited me more in such a short amount of time than in the years of waiting for GT5. :)

I havent read deep about this game but are there Police cars from all over the world in the game (I saw the Italian Gallardo) but are there others like UK police liveries? Also is there a livery editor and autosculpt in the game?

Robin.

No Autosculpt, no livery editor, no tuning...this is Need For Speed as it originally was; nothing but you, your car, and it's natural, flat out speed (with boost).

As for the police cars, the only 'official' liveries I know of are those from the Gallardo...and that's all I can remember right now. :odd:

So...when is Hot Pursuit going replace the Shift Forum?

Gallardo, Crown Vic, the Viper, Charger and the Challenger all have their "official" liveries.

I have decided to definately not fork out release money for HP, just because I find the physics a little boring and not very challenging. I wouldn't say it's a bad game by any stretch of the imagination it just doesn't suit me personally in the same way Burnout hasn't since I turned 14 or so. I'm just not one for a game where you barely seem to touch the brakes for anything other then to be magically thrown into a drift and on the demo at least you barely even use them for that if you're gunning for the fastest time on race at least.

Don't get me wrong I don't hate all non-simulation games, but this is just a bit to arcadey for my tastes.

Its good in a way its pure roots NFS and probably doesnt need it in this type of game because theres the whole cop thing (understatement of the week ). I'm a sucker for customisation.

It slightly odd that they have one Italian police livery and a huge selection of US state inspired liveries. What I was trying to say was that it would be good if every cop car could have a selection of country 'inspired' liveries such as a German Police one, Australian one etc.., not technically real official ones. This way Seacrest could technically be in various places around the world.

I just want to see a Veyron or MP412C in Battenberg!

This post almost had a heart attack,
Make up yer mind! :scared:

that's what she said. :indiff:

someone on PSN forums posted pictures already:

makes me wonder why the ps3 box art has a gray zonda....

But still, i want to get my hands on that zonda asap as well.

And for the Viper:

That's not a police car. Nobody has a Viper police car; they're for drug-related lessons when they visit kids, b/c they're normally always confiscated during drug raids.

They just confiscated a Rolls Royce and a Gallardo a few days ago outside. Turning them into DARE vehicles doesn't make them Dallas PD cars.

Actually, there are Viper police cars. I think LAPD has one or two. I know they have a Diablo and Murcielago. I also think Florida has one.

But This another GTS police car.

There are no Viper police cars, and no, LAPD does not have Lamborghini police cars.

You are confusing confiscated vehicles with actual police cars. And with the financial hole that is California, there isn't a chance in hell the tax payers will let LAPD have a Lamborghini.

Again, confiscated vehicle.

Actually, I KNOW California has Lambos. I got to talk with someone from the LAPD a while back and he mentioned that they did, in fact, have a Diablo and the department had recently purchased a Murci. They also have a SMART Crown Vic that can drive itself and a Pursuit Lemo that is used for police fuctions.

The Lambos aren't really used for pursuits, but they do have to take them out a couple times a year. But I think they're mainly for show. And I know Viper police cars do exist.

They're confiscated vehicles, then. They are not actual police vehicles. LAPD will not buy $400,000+ of Lamborghinis just to have them sit around. Maybe you can't grasp it yet, but the tax payers would not allow it.

Post proof or please hush.
Edit* I think you're just passing on false info. Google has absolutely zero references to LA or California having any sort of police Lamborghinis, let alone any actual confiscations of the vehicles.

As for the Viper above, check your history. Like I said, confiscated vehicle.
The driver was unaware of the powers of the police, they can seize any vehicle that is involved in a felony, and in this case that is exactly what the police dept has done. The Dodge Viper has now been repainted in the police dept colors and has a set of lights on the roof too.

Forget what polive liveries exsit the game comes out TOMORROW!

Just snippets of what I think is important to bring awareness to:

Multiplayer Preview

To help with the balancing and stop players from selecting the fastest possible car every time, you won’t be able to select any car you want when heading into an online game. Instead you’ll be restricted to a particular category of car, which includes Sports, Performance, Super, Exotic and Hyper.

COPS: Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Edition

You know those jerks who play online seemingly just to drive backwards and screw up everyone else’s good time? Play as cop, ********! People will hate you for the right reasons, you’ll actually earn XP in the process and its actually part of the greatest mode in the game, Hot Pursuit, where players can play as either racers seeking pole position, or the cops trying to stop them.

You know what this means? It means we all have to main 5 cars when we play online whoopee! no more A-tier cars every single time.
Smartest decision ever.

2 & 1/2 hours here. My GS is open for Assassin's Creed, but they are allowing for anything else, so I'll pick it up tonight so I don't have to do it after work tomorrow.

Sorry to report but this game isn't what I thought it was going to be. I picked it up earlier today and have been playing until now. I can't play online yet because EA hasn't bought their servers for this game online yet.
The game looks great and the way they make the sense of speed is tops... but it just feels like nothing new has been bought to this series. It's point a to b and in some races you can only pick one car to use. Which is the oddest thing. And no I'm not taking about the races where a car company ask you to drive their cars but normal races. I'm not happy with it but other might be.
