If i can get in on it, I will. I haveta make time to race with you guys and still be able to watch F1! I wanna see how fast everyone is in Spain this weekend in the F1 circus. So yeah I'll just have to do the time zone conversion to see what time your races start on the west coast U.S. time zone area.

2 hours after the race
 
sounds good, unless the race takes place late at night on saturday (my time) I'm not sure if i'll be able to stay up that late. I'll check and see.

EDIT: race will be at 4:30 A.M. my time (Pacific), assuming the race lasts 2 hours, that's 6:30 at it's end, so I'm guessing we'll race early in the morning for me at least. I'll be around and online then- i'll check the forum here and i'll be able to race with ya!

Yo Fresh, you must have cable so arm twist your cabe provider for a DVR or jump ship to someone else, they all practicly give um away for a sighn up then you won't have to go Nockturnal...LOL.....Lefty.....
 
I've got a DVR, I like to watch the races live, it's not as fun knowing it isn't happening in real time. Besides, I follow live timing on the F1 site as well. I wish I could get eurosport though, so i could watch LeMans series races.
 
I'll try to be there,but I'm not sure I will arrive on time for first race:guilty:

Sorry guys, but because of the average number of the participants i have to say i stop organizing this races. If anybody wants to continue it, here is the chance..:) Thanks for the guys who were always on the races, i've enjoyed every race! Of course we can always meet for some good race!!
 
I'm bumbed for you Mo and your efforts. This game's unstability and the presures of every day life with so many investments in other games by the SHIFTERZ may have been the downfall of your investment. Long races are always a test and I will look forward to races that have flavor.

I would like to think that there is intrest in your original idea of a long duration race for the RING, in my world an endurance race is a minimum of 90 min. Maybe something like one between the end and beginning of the League seasons. Endurance races should take on the flavor of rareity and have an anual aperance so they are special and clasic.

You know I've seen these LAN racing organizations give goofy prizes for races, we might be able to get people to show up if there was a real prize.....lol something to think about. I don't quite know how to do it yet while still maintaing the curtain of anonimity that is a " warm fuzzy "

Just think when GT5 comes out and the stability isues are gone, we could have some hela Enduros

The prize thing is a good Idea. I only afraid of it, because maybe the participiants would be less gentl if they fight for a prize.. but not sure.

About the GT5 Enduro: I can't wait for it.. but we have to, minimum half a year..
Think in it: maybe there will be pitstops, real-changing weather conditions, rain, night race, etc.. It will be the heaven for me!

Until that, the most what we can do is to try racing with this EA trash..
(on sunday I had enough a bit of this game after I saw everyone was like a helicopter on the track, Shark was changing his position around me 3 times/sec :) how can you try to drive carefully, if you see empty road over you, then after a sec an other player looks like transporting himself (just like in some sci-fi movie:dunce:) just 1 meter over you on a break distance..)
 
Yah I know what you mean, your so adrenilin'd up shadowing someone and then they disapear and then there beside you and then there 1 sec ahead. It freaks me out sometimes and I can feel it in my guts, it's the worst kind of joke. I't makes it so you don't want to drive up next to anyone and press them to make the pass, I's so spooky..............

as far as the prize thing goes I was thinking some goofy prize like something out of one of those claw machines. The logistics would have to be world wide like Western Union, and It's a little risky for the arguing over the last peace of pizza thing but if it's a close nit group who already know each other I think it would fine. You just have to keep the prize small, frendships have to be stronger then a cheep prize.....lol...

I say We have to try your idea. maybe there will be just the 2 of us or maybe 3 with shark (he's always in for some good race as i know him:tup:).
On Friday at about 18-19:00 GMT I'll make some practice for Saturday races (join if you have time, it is always better to practice with someone else, then we can learn some good raceline from each other and maybe share good tuning setups), and after it we can make a try! If you don't mind I leave the decision to you about the cars and tracks. What do you think?

On Fri. I have to leave to get Little Lefty from school at 2:00 PST and I think that is 22:00 GMT. I think I can be on line for some roostying at 18:00 GMT on Fri. and that would be a good time to go over the League tracks and carz for the Sat. race, it would be fun to do them twice on each track to play with the MX scoring method if everyone was comfortable w/ the tracks already or we could just practice and goof around, lol.......

If I might intrude, all of us who actualy use the game in the league and have tried to race together for more then 15 min find that it is rare, considering that one or two of my fellow competetors are left holding the bag by getting DC'd out. It would be totaly cool if in fact the game would stay together and we could do the kind of enduros that I have done for real, and they are at the level of 1 and a half to 3 hours on dirt bikes, but some how I don't think that will ever happen.

I'm enough fanatic to get a try for the longest race we can do here, if anybody think he want's to join.. I think the maximum in shift is 25 laps for an online race. At the ring that means 25x7min what is .....aaa.... almost 3 hours and 600KM:):)

So? anybody for some real enduro? just for a try! come on drivers!!:dunce:

Ps: last weeks SPA race was more than 36 min long. it was nothing. my eyes were not tired, i was full of energy after it, and my concentratoin didn't became worth.......:dunce::scared::D:boggled: 👍

I think it will be more like Russan Rullet, the longer the race goes the more chance someone will get DC'd. It's like how the insurance industrie works, every day you walk out the door and don't get into an accident, increases the chance that the next time you walk out the door, that your going to get into an accident. lol.....

I don't think there will be anyone who swings a leg over that horse who would even think about the distance at that point, it's when they hit the half way point the mental thing kicks in, when it's crossed flags, that will seperate the men from the boys. Don't get me wrong I am a firm beleaver that long distance races are in my favor, but it's the stability of the connections. In my world for a single rider / driver the 1.5 hr mark is a great time stamp for endurance. When you get into the 3hr races they would allow team racing and multiple riders / drivers to kick in. Iron man stuff is 3+ hrs for a single driver.....lol...

On Sun. I always take my dear Mother to church at 7:30 am PST which is 15:30 GMT and then pick up at 9 which is 17:00 GMT so I couldn't start until 18:00 GMT if that works.
