All Times up just doing the points now, again no more time submissions, feel free to use them to do any final tunes for the race, and as you can see theres been a huge interest in this the first race, cheers guys, hope as many of you can turn up for the race on sunday, and remember the new tracks and car classes for the next race and time trial will be up before the weekend is out, so all sugestions welcome.

Timeattack up to his old tricks again. Heard he got a wheel as well, my oh my, his lap time will only improve I am afraid.

RIght all the times and points are up on the first page now....

Congratulations to the top 5 racers.....really well done!

1. EL_ZISSOU............16 points
2. Energiya................13 points
3. Ian Poole.................9 points
4. Jambo GT................6 points
5. Stavigo...................5 points

To even it up in the next round however you don't have a free choice of cars......tuning championship guys Tier 1 FWD, Tier 2 4WD, Tier 3 RWD.......as much or as little tune as you like, all cars will be works option selectable though! (sugestions on which cars welcome)

Right for those in for the race get your name down and send me a friends request! Remember the bulk of the points are available in the race it'self with a maxinum of 30 points up for grabs! You got to be in it to win it LOL

I shall respectfully withdraw from the races, Shift's shortfall's (i.e. its existence), have pissed me off too much already, I'm putting it down. My anger is compunded by the fact that GT5 is over 6 months away, maybe longer.

Race will be run sunday night 10pm GMT (this is changeable if needed) please stick your name down if you can make it so I can sort out Hosts and friend requests.
That's 23:00 local time for me. Next day at 05:30 is wake up call for me, so you guys probably want to go on without me. :)

BTW, managed 10th place in all classes, at least that's constant. ;)

Who's this Superboss? ;)

Are Sunday nights really the best time for racing? Just throwing an idea out there, for a mid-week race, slightly earlier than 10PM UK time to allow for our European friends!

Also, on Sunday we are doing both a 4.0, 6.0 and a 10.0 race?

I am actually also not so keen on the time of the race. Since i also have to get up at about 6.00 the next morning.

Indeed maybe an 21.00/30 (UK) - 22.00/30 (EU) time would be better during weekdays?

We have three races with how many laps on spa?

i ineed am in the same boat as everyone else, 10 is just too late

Definitely in but we need to get the time sorted :)

10 laps. So each race will be about half an hour long. I do strongly suggest a mid-week early evening race. Monday mornings can be tough for people.

Hey Nigel,

Yeah, if you don't like the upgrade you've purchased, you can just sell it back for the purchase amount and try a different upgrade. I've done this several times trying to figure out how the different upgrades affect the cars and--in particular--how Timeattack did a 2'28.4xxx in a 9.98 GT3RS at Spa :irked:

I'll take a look at how I upgraded the GT3RS later :) All I did was use the quick tuner to get the balance of the car ideal and to rid of the floaty feeling in the rear (moved torward oversteer...which actually lessens oversteer and tightens up the rear). I also took a bit of DF out to improve higher end acceleration. A much shorter 5th and 6th gear probably would have been worth a second or so, but I think that put the rating at 10.02 unfortunately.

I was hoping to put a quick lap in with the Evo 9 yesterday, but ended up getting pulled away from the PS just after getting the thing set-up :( I'll probably have a quick go with that car today to see what it can do 👍

OK OK as I said earlier the time is down to you guys, the best time and day to get as many racers online is THE BEST TIME! I'm easy on any time or day, so go for it....someone suggest a time and day and then sort it out . This is a racing comunity so ultimatly you guys decide what your doing.

Anytime over the weekend is best for me 👍

I just did some laps with the Evo IX 9.8 rating @ Spa (just for fun). I was really struggling with understeer in a few corners but managed a 2'24.290. I enjoy driving the GT3RS a lot more, but with the addition of nitrous the Evo really hauls the mail at 10.0.

Well, it's quite close to the first race, so for now if we say 9:30 UK time for tomorrow? Might be friendlier to our European colleagues.

Realistically, on a Sunday night I'm unavailable from 6:30 to 10:30 and I do think that a mid-weeker, say on a Wednesday night, at 8PM UK time, gives our European GTP'ers an easier time.

I like the sound of eight o'clock on Wednesday, miss the beginning of the utd game but i don't mind

Thats 2 for 8.00 - 9.30 pm GMT on Wensday, Any more for that time? I know not everyone will be able to make a meet no matter what time or day but if we can get most of us then thats good enough.

I might be able to make it then, although I can't guarantee it though as it is during business hours and I never know when I might have to go run and do a job.

On another note, I just had a quick race around Spa with Mr_V in the GT3 RS for giggles. I set a new PB of 2'25.896  Almost 3 seconds off the time I submitted for this TT with the GT3

As far as upgrades, I'm using all stage 2 components and only the stage 3 slick tires. I'm also using Weight Reduction 3 and Body Kit 3, and NO Race Parts.

As far as the tune...I was lazy and just used the quick tuner with the following settings: Stock gearing, and have the balance @ 16, and Down Force @ 29

Just thought I'd throw that out there, since some were wondering how I achieved the previous time 👍

You guys were using nitrous oxide for your laps?:odd:

BTW, you won't get any Aussies at all in a night time/afternoon race except maybe on Friday or Saturday which would be super early Saturday or Sunday morning for us.

I wasn't using Nitrous on the GT3RS...don't think it is even available for that car IIRC. However I did use Nitrous with the Evo IX (2'24) earlier today, and I think everyone else that turned in a time using the Evo was probably doing the same 👍

Im in the same boat as Paulie. I can't really stay up late on wednesday due to the fact of school. In a weeks time I have school holidays and then I can pretty much stay up until 11pm everynight.

The times they're talking, it'd be more like early morning for us.

Well in that case 9pm GMT is all go because I have daylight savings coming in like a week or 2. So that would be perfect, but I can't compete in the races if they are being held this week though.

Thanks for the upgrade tips on GT3RS TA ! It feels much better now;)
Think you will get more competition next time we meet :sly: New best in 10.0 gt3 at spa:2.25.130

Indeed, the GT3RS can't use it. But it's fast enough down the corners anyway. I use nitrous in the Shelby though, it's a very good way to regain the time lost in the corners when racing against cars like the GT3RS. It's also good to get back up to speed if you make a mistake.

For me Sunday 9pm GMT is ok. Wednesday not so much.

This week no race for me. Maybe Saturday next weekend around 9pm GMT?

No sir, my Evo 9 lap was a raw simple machine and a raw simple driver in the control pad

Current situation? Global timezones have prety much done what I feared would happen. Getting even 8 out of the 20+ racers to agree on a race time yet alone day is proving if not imposible then insurmountable for some.
I think I/we need to make 3 reigons, America/Canada, Australia, Europe. each area has there own race thus time zones are less of an issue. Then we can still run the timetrial as a global comp and the races themselves can be continetal comps. At set points the top 2 racers from each continent can have a decider race!
OK so heres how it works stick your name down and the "Team" your in

Teams

Team Europe
Team America
Team Australia

Not sure how this will work out numbers wise but it's the only wat I can see of getting around the timezone issue and get as many players racing.

I can see that working well actually. Maybe every now and then we have a planned big event between certain winners, etc.

Should we split it into 4 teams? ie split europe into EU and GB, should roughly have equal teams around the globe then.
