Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals is tonight. It's the Montreal Canadiens at the New York Rangers. NYR leads the series 3-2. The Habs want one more trip back to Montreal to help decide the series. NYR just wants to meet the LA/CHI winner to play for Lord Stanley's Cup.

Good luck to both teams.

The Montreal Canadiens WILL return to Montreal... to clean out their lockers and go on vacation. The New York Rangers won 1-0 and will await the winner of Kings/Blackhawks for Lord Stanley's Cup. NYR takes the Eastern Conference Finals 4-2.

The New York Rangers will learn their Stanley Cup opponents after tonight. It's the Los Angeles Kings at the Chicago Blackhawks for Game 7 of the 2013-2014 playoffs. Will the boys from L.A. meet the Rangers in a hockey version of the classic Los Angeles vs. New York City rivalry? Or will we have an old school Original Six match between the Rangers and Blackhawks? Tonight will tell all.

Good luck to both Los Angeles and Chicago.

Lord Stanley's Cup will be on the line between the New York Rangers and...

...the Los Angeles Kings. LA beat Chicago 5-4 in Overtime last night in Chicago. The defending champs are done. NYR and LA will set it off starting this Wednesday night in Los Angeles.

Many have battled. Now, only two teams remain. New York Rangers. Los Angeles Kings. Lord Stanley's Cup is on the line. At least four games will determine this season's champion.

Game 1 is tonight in Los Angeles. Good luck to both teams, and congratulations to the eventual champions.

Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals is tonight in Los Angeles. It's the New York Rangers at the Los Angeles Kings. LA won 3-2 in Overtime in Game 1. These scrappy dudes will try to make it a 2-0 series lead for the Kings tonight.

Good luck to both NYR and LA.

It was 4-3 in Game 1 in Overtime in favor of Los Angeles. It was 5-4 in Game 2 in Double Overtime in favor of Los Angeles. The Kings lead this Finals series 2-0. Tonight, it's Game 3... in New York City. Can the Rangers bounce back after failing twice in Los Angeles? We'll find out tonight.

The season could be over tonight if the New York Rangers get beat tonight. Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals is tonight. Game 3 ended in a 3-0 victory for the Los Angeles Kings. Yep- no Overtime needed to settle Game 3. Again- good luck to both LA and NYR tonight.

[UPDATE] Just wrapped up...

...the New York Rangers forced a Game 5 with a 2-1 victory in New York. Game 5 will be in Los Angeles on Friday as the Rangers will try to extend this series as much as they can. NYR will have to basically (to use baseball speak) pitch a shutout the rest of the way if they want to win the Stanley Cup.

Game 5 of the 2013-2014 Stanley Cup Finals is tonight in Los Angeles. The New York Rangers will try as they might to bring the series back to New York City for a Game 6. Los Angeles is looking tonight for their second-ever (even I find this hard to believe considering Wayne Gretzky's contributions) Stanley Cup and the second one in three years. Is this series over? It will be if LA wins.

Even though today is Friday the 13th, good luck to both LA and NYR tonight.

SEASON OVER!!!

Just wrapped up- The Los Angeles Kings beat the New York Rangers 3-2 in Double Overtime in Los Angeles. Sixty minutes and three periods didn't solve anything with both teams locked at 2-2 heading into extras. Martinez cashed in the winning goal that sent Los Angeles into a frenzy. Lord Stanley's Cup belongs to the Los Angeles Kings for the 2013-2014 season. There were about 5:20 minutes left in Double OT when Martinez's goal connected to become champions.

All congratulations to the Los Angeles Kings on winning the championship, and taking the series 4-1.
