At work I get called "Big Sexy" or "Water Buffalo" whenever they need a stuck pipe pulled out of a rack. It was Wilde Beast until I explained to them that the Wilde Beast is small and ugly and not that powerful compared to the Water Buffalo.

With my friends its mostly "Feathers" or "Rabbit" (apparently I looked like Eminem from 8 mile when I met Cassie)

My family used to call me Klikobak (wheelie bin) because of the amount of food I could stuff myself with.

My friends call me Sch because of Dennisch. Which I use for almost everything online.

My family called me Meister growing up.

I was called Broman for much of high school because in the freshman yearbook my first name (Brennan) was written as Broman in the student picture section.

I have been called BJ, Sweats (do to the frequency in which I wear sweats) and Wingardium Leviosa (because of my apparent resemblance to Harry Potter when wearing my large glasses, back when I used to wear them). That one was quickly shortened to just "Dubya" in band camp because of the reasons above and because I wore a Washington Nationals hat every day in the camp that year (red with a white stylized W).

In gaming/online I have only been called by my universal username, often shortened to "Park" or "DP".

In real life, "Al" as short for my real name (Alex), and unfairly called at college "Chicken Legs" due to my wiry build in my first year

In gaming, Furinkazen is just shortened to "Furi" by most people.

Or Furry.

My tennis coach started calling me Aldo when I was about 10. It stuck... Some people don't even know my real name and one person thought I was Italian. :P

One of my brothers friends is called Hayden but everyone calls him Morris because he made fun of this writer in class one day called Morris Glitzman or something. Anyway for 2 years I knew this kid as Morris then one day someone called him Hayden and I was like wtf are you calling Morris, Hayden for? Turns out I didn't even know his real name

Dennisch
My friends call me Sch because of Dennisch. Which I use for almost everything online.

Which is weird because if it's like den Bosch, isn't the Sch silent?

Back in my high school days my nick was ''destroyer''. I'm not kidding.
I had a very...destructive and aggressive personality in my teen years and I smashed and burned various objects that did not belong to me just for kicks.

Not something to be proud of I guess.:dunce:

My parents never get my name right, although I think that's their fault for calling their children Avi and Ari. Sometimes I get called Av or Avster (lengthening a nickname!) One friend of mine calls me her Teddy (not sure why, I don't understand women at all). I have also been called Eli by a teacher numerous times, and one teacher managed to call me Michael for half of a semester for no reason.

In real life, I was called Lilla for a while after a friends younger sister(like a year or two old) couldn't pronounce Luke.

Then when we had to take Home Economics(cooking basically) for a couple of months, I proclaimed myself Chef and that stuck for a while.

I'd say "Yauma" (sometimes people like to call me just that) is/was a nickname if it wasn't my real *2nd* name. :ouch:

Everyone at school calls me OG because that is my initials. My full initials are OMG.

On PSN, my username usually gets shortened to either Ota or Kid, and this is AFTER they try pronouncing my name, so I get a few laughs from that.

As for IRL, I don't have one currently, but back in 9th grade, tons of people at school called me Big Mike. The reason for this is because I am a pretty big person. I was one of the taller kids at 6'2" and have the build of a football player. I actually am still like this, but I'm not called it anymore because the people who made it popular all left my school, so people stopped using it.

On games my name usually gets shortened to "Wrap".

IRL my nickname is Train Tracks. Yep I'm the most recent person in my group to get braces.

Among my family I'm called "fish" since when I was little I couldn't say Joseph and ended up saying Joe-Fish.

My friends call me Joey or Joey D and it's been that way since middle school I think. I even had teachers in high school that called me that too which was always a little bit odd. After awhile I just rolled with it.

And online outside of a few forums I go by Theloden which is typically shortened to Thel or TO.

I would laugh at a teacher calling someone "Joey D", not you in particular, but just the thought of a teacher standing in class and calling someone "Joey D" makes me think of a lame YTV/Nicolodeon kids show.

My roommates call me "Old Greg(g)"... probably because I told them I like Baileys. If you don't get the reference, YouTube it ;)

That's the only worthwhile nickname I can think of. I've been given lots of temporary nicknames in online gaming but I probably shouldn't repeat them here ;)

"What are you doing in my waters, boy?"

"Nothing, not fishing, sir!"

"Then what's this hook doing in my head, mutha' licka'?"

Quality video, Ol' Gregg.

Why is the thread asking "nicknames given in in real life"? Do you use ATM machines too? :P

All I get is KP in real life, and all I get online is "Slip" or "Slipz".

Last time anybody called me that was back in secondary school, and even then it wasn't that often.

I've rarely been called anything other than my real name since then though. I think "Gavin" was the one nickname used more than any other, since my art teacher (who didn't have the soundest of minds) always used to get me and my friend's names mixed up. Every. Single. Lesson.

As for the present, it's either "Lord Welshy" (only recently, and among online friends) or "Curry Boy" for the past few years, after informing a couple of my friends that I could tell the difference between two different curries. Naturally, they jumped on it in an instant and coined the most imaginative name they could think of.

Nickname in real life. Tank. It comes from my rugby days in school, I was shortest by far but I never backed down.

Nickname in gaming. The joker. I'm well known for being witty and quick with jokes, but it came from my ps home habit of doing very funny things and saying funny stuff.

Mike, and when I was growing up my folks would call me "Stinky" because I was a toddler stinkin' up the place. Awesome. Oh, I forgot that my aunt calls me shorty all the time which is really weird as I'm anything but short.

Online it's T-12, Mickey T (Danny), Chris Smoove (reference to a Youtuber who eerily sounds just like me), rude, and some other stuff I'm likely forgetting.

One of my friends started calling me Katrina a couple of years ago which led some people to believe that was my real name. It's not, and Katie isn't an abbreviation for anything, I just have a friend who calls me Katrina. I also have another friend who calls me 'Katiye', which is just an odd way of pronouncing my name. That probably came from the fact I'd always say her name in a Ghanaian accent.

My dad has a range of nicknames he's given me over the years. Dids is one he uses a lot because I'm so small, he also calls me 'Didbot' a lot (and my mum has recently started calling me that too), which came from the Ford dogbot commercials (for example this one). He also added more to that nickname and sometimes calls me 'Didboticus' and I don't really know how that started.

Online, it's usually Katiegan now, although it used to be 'Wolf' back when my username was wolfdragon97. Back in my early Club Penguin days as a kid my nickname was Skittle or Skitt because my penguin's name was 'Skittlechill'. I'm sometimes called 'Keith Block' in my rallycross series and I was once referred to as 'Ken Block with tits' by homeforsummer. :P
