WOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO BIG BIG BIG THANKS TO @nowcontrol

Your tunes are amazing!!! The GTR no longer understeer. It rotates and brakes so much better with so much stability and not heating up the tire. What is so crazy about your tune is that I am able to accelerate HARD much much earlier with full stability!!! The gears shifting points are custom fit to this track so well and there is little to no bogging in any gear. I was just zrroommm and zrrooommm right from the apex. I can adapt to your tune so easily probably because you have similar driving style. I really think your tune is super stable and fun to drive as hell lol.

All of that is a SOLID 3 seconds improvement from the stock GTR@600PP. I improved from 1:33.xxx (Silver) to 1:30.644 (GOLD). It is also my FIRST TIME ever to be ranked 2,554 in the world lol! I'm usually in the 20,000-40,000 category with few tenths of a second faster than gold time but I almost always drive stock car at maximum allowed PP.

I cannot believe your tune can help me improving 3 seconds under less than 10 laps!!! I was also able to try out different lines and be aggressive on the exit that adds up the time improvement. If I were to spend more time on this, I can see a 1:29.xxx :D I now believe that tuning CAN make a BIGGGGGGG difference in this game!!!

Congratz 👍

I agree with y'all comments about the cheaters!!!

This is just demotivating and frustrating when a dude Ike few of those come and slaps the time!!

Sony should asks them selves if they do the right thing against cheaters!! Very sad period for gr community!! The second TT (if I'm not wrong) were the cheaters are striking!!

I think it's not that bad with the cheaters. That Brazilian guys is deleted. But who else is cheating?

There is said enough about Sim0nGT5la..... and this aids. Judging by his skills, i don't see much wrong with that. This lines are nice smooth and clean as a whistle. Aslong nobody can't point something out, there is something wrong, i consider his lap clean.

As far as I can determine there are no cheaters in the top 10 anymore. Bruno is deleted and Sim0nGT5 is clean. If there where more cheaters why didn't PD deleted them also.

The only one I reported was Bruno. I did have a quick look at the other replay in question and aside from the aids, I really didn't see anything right off the bat to prompt me to further dissect his replay. I mean, I can I guess, but I really don't see any need to. My main concern was Bruno which has been taken care of so all should be good for now. :)

Where is that tune? I can't find it.

Where is that tune? I can't find it.
If you go back to the first page, the very first POST, you'll see a list of tunes provided by various tuners/drivers. FSport didn't mention exactly which tune he used, so maybe he can enlighten you as to which one improved his time so significantly. In the mean time, you can check out the tunes and see if any suits your driving style. Good luck!

EDIT: I meant to add that I am VERY happy that the cheater, BrunoBlak, has been removed from the official standings. Hopefully he doesn't even bother posting in these Seasonal Event threads anymore. No one made me the Seasonal Event thread police, but I think we would all agree on one simple thing: Do your best, but never, ever cheat. No one says that you have to share a tune or give advice, even though most of you do even as you're competing for top time overall. To resort to cheating? I think we can all agree that you don't belong in this thread if you're willing to resort to such a cowardly act.

@FSportIS has used a two day old revision of my own tuning which is constantly changing because I just can't stop fiddling with it in the hopes of finding those extra .001's in every lap.

Yes it would be nice to know where one truly ranks among their peers. :) ive noticed that when i get a gold time that usually puts me around the five thousands.

Finally have had a bit of time to get back in the saddle. Fun challenge. I'm on someone's preliminary tune, slightly modified. Sitting at 1:28.235 right now, which was 175 yesterday, I think now its 215 or something.

Certainly some time to pull off, but man that last S turn is a beast for me. I certainly don't see where I could take 2 seconds off though. Kudos to those faster than me.

You can gain time after the first sector those two right handers plus the one slow left hander, if you have good enter and exit speed 0.5 is reachable!! I know B'coz on my time now I Gain 0.470 but screw in the finel sector all. I'm as well 28.2! :)

Just one question, how do I make lap under 1.27? I'm on teitzy tune but I just can't make lap better than 1.27:5 wich is really good, but as it seems those tight esses at the end kill my lap also. I was testing the tune with rigidity improvement and I think it makes firts two sectors bit easier becouse it's more stable, but on those tight esses at the end body is just too stiff to make it fast... Or I just don't know how should I attack them... So basically I'm asking for any advice to shave off time, tuning etc. especially for those esses....

And yeah, I know I don't get any faster just by asking stuff here, but if someone has something that might help, bring it on, it's all good!!!

I am using Teitzy's tune also, but modified (and I'm still fighting to get under 1:27...). Asuming that you are using his last version, my only advice, apart from being smooth with the gas pedal, is to lower the front ride height from 130 to 100. 5 mm each time, do a few laps testing each ride height and find your perfect one. Keep in mind that you have to find a ride height that allow you to make a whole decent lap, don't focus just on that hairpins.

But, the most important thing is don't overtake me in the leaderboards :P:lol:

Tried about 5 laps of this with the stock version. Didn't get lower than a 1.35.XXX

Used @praiano63 tune ( The one for the fast exit of the slow corners) and nailed a 1.32.XXX in the first attempt and made the top 10,000. Any time I make the top 10k, I'm fairly happy.
Particularly with a track that I don't really enjoy.

@praiano63 is my go to guy for tunes! Thanks buddy!

Hey thanks buddy, I'll try fifferent front ride heights tonight. I'm already wearing my white suit dancing moonwalk around those corner so I really don't know how much smoother I can get

But yeah, I try not to take you over

And keep 'em tips coming guys!!

:gtpflag:

@ODB a wide approach at the hairpin is good. Failing that, maybe try the handbrake??

Ok wide it is then, I was actually trying different lines there, but seems like if I can brake in two sets, beeing on the brake on apex gives good result. It's just not that easy to nail... Have you been using handbrake??

 I´m still laughing at that. Nice!

I found that fiddling with the front ride height makes a big difference in the behaviour. Keep us updated with your progress.

Cheers.

No I haven't tried the handbrake yet. I haven't yet used it in a TT, but if I find a situation where it'll make me faster, I'll use it for sure.

Sat down for another session last evening but wife came home early so only got 30 mins.

Improved to 1'27.083.

I can match Ramon and Dennis in T1 (and beat them occasionally), lose virtually nothing in T2, but still a pile of time to find in T3... The corner at the end of the back straight is killing me!

Hopefully I'll get chance to run again over the weekend.

Handbrake doesn't work well with this car unless running a heap of ballast. If you get on the gas early exiting the first hairpin you can get the back end to slide around nicely for entry into the second hairpin.

Ok please somebody correct if I'm wrong but it really seems that using handbrake is most of the time optional, meaning you don't need to use it if you don't want to, and at least for me it seems nothing but one more extra control, and if I can coupe without using it I'll avoid it as much as I can, not that I have any moral issues towards using HB (some idiots have been referring it as cheating ) but the fact is that less controls I have to use is always better, simple as I am

@Stotty great lap man!! I have to say I don't usually go around asking about peoples tunes, but I think you sort of mentioned something about maybe sharing yours after you did some testing. So, is it still in progress, or could we have a peek of it? ()

Currently 82nd with a 1.27.528....the dreaded esses i cant get thru without my ghost car flying passed :grumpy: Most def can improve on my time, its just a matter of getting thru the esses. Still running it on my setup with a change to camber and final gear. Most def got capability of taking off a few 100ths of a second.....

Edit clocked 127.447....Time to work on gearbox i think :)

Ok, did some testing and came to conclusion that @Teitzy has done pretty damn good job 👍 althought I'm using improved body rigidity to keep it more stable. Also I came to the conclusion that those hairpins at the end are just very technical and nailing them just takes good instinct... And if I'm able to dip those front tires to inside line while braking, it takes me around that right hand hairpin pretty well...

Oh yeah, did some progress  I mean yesterday I was already on 1.27:5xx improved twice and I was still over 1.27:55  today after I did some testing I went back to same tune I used yesterday, and improved my time so I'm currently sitting on place 81 (current) with time 1.27.531

This TT certainly gives some contrast after balancing around brands hatch in that LFA, going is bit more stable

EDIT: Ok, after I red what I just written, I realized that I probably don't need that stiffer body anymore, I mean I already bought new car yesterday to try it out on stock chassis but didn't like it, but now I just got the lines much better and managed to drop my time to 27.341 after just 5 laps or something  (I mean after driving with stiffer chassis some 100km or so)

EDIT2: 1:27.272 now we're talking
