I'll be watching F1 testing so it better go full ape.

edit: forgot about timezones

Yup. @R1600Turbo were you not saying a rear wing would feature on the car's design? Maybe their ambition has changed? Or just their low drag LM solution? Interesting times ahead.
The car has had a wing since day 1, despite what some sites on the internet think. I wouldn't draw any conclusions from a super dark photo just yet. People are quick to dismiss the wind tunnel photo from last week with the wing clearly visible.

I figure it will have one, but the dark photo (if thats the lmp1) doesn't. I wonder if thats the commercial car.

That car in the dark photo looks very similar to a Deltawing/Zeod RC.
Maybe it is featured too in the commercial along with the LMP1 car, i think.
People jump out to conclusions too quickly lately, waiting for gt6 updates really sickened us

Maybe the 2015 zeod? C'mon, if an insider is telling you that isn't the shape of the car, and given the fact we already saw the overall shape of it, it's illogical going on speculating on nothing.
We'll see later today.

Okay, this is just some speculation, but seeing as though this interview was done during Lemans, I wonder if PD are already finished with the car and are just waiting for the right time to release it. 💡

That is pretty much what I expect has happened. If not and it is only being modelled after it's unveiling then we won't see it before the end of July at the earliest I assume.

With the relationship Kaz an Nissan/Nismo has I suspect we will have it in the game within the next 30 days... why else would all the VGT's be pushed back?

The last GTR Nismo got in the game real quick too.

PD was most likely in on it while it was in development. Given how Nismo Athletes (Some from GT Academy) are being considered for a seat in it next year.

I fail to see what a real world racecar has to do with VGT project releases being pushed back.

Two things.

1.) Streaching the content thinly as possible.

2.) Not letting a real world LMP, which IMO more exciting and newsworthy than any VGT, take the publicity and excitement away from said manufacturer's VGT. Probably a contract thing.

It's all speculation now, can't we just wait for the Super Bowl ads this afternoon, so we can start with the hype, or kill it?

I know he said that the car would be in GT but I'm still skeptical, it's not like we heard anything from PD. I think there is a good chance we will get it but I'm just not sure.

For me, the hype surrounding the GT-R LM Nismo being officially unveiled tonight is simply that we get to see the car. I am not expecting to see a trailer ending with 'Available now in Gran Turismo 6' or 'Coming to Gran Turismo 6 02 February'.

I cannot wait to try it in GT but the earliest I can realistically see it arriving is the WEC season opener at 6h Silverstone on 12 April.

I am happy to be proved wrong though...

Well hell, I just realized I could easily watch the trailer once it hits the internet on my TV (via HDMI connection).

Yeah, screw the game.
