Nissan R92CP & All Stars Race

Hello Everyone,

I'm getting stomped trying to beat the "All Stars" Race in Extreme Events.
I purchased a BMW V12 thinking it would do the trick but I am getting beat out by the R92CP on half of the races. I am not having any troubles with beating any of the other cars, just the Nissan. I have been playing around with the tire settings but Medium on Front &Back slides too much and the soft tires in Front & Back require a pit stop.... so I get to watch the Nissan flies by me as my pit crue goes as slow as they possibly can.

What car did you use to beat this track?
What tire combination were you using?
How can I aquire the Nissan R92CP or even the Bently Speed 8?

I was thinking of purchasing the Peugoet 905 and tring that against the R92CP but I figured I would ask you guys.

Thanks for any help!

I found that you needed to play with the Tyres on these races. A good general combination (in B-Spec mode) was to run Racing-Hard on the Rear & Racing-Medium on the Front on the longer races & Medium-Soft on the shorter races. If I left the tyres at standard settings, the car would spin off.
I used the Mercedes CLK Race car I believe (will have to check the diary in the game as it was quite a few days ago since I completed the races).
On some of the races though, you will need to adjust the pace during the race to make sure that you don't go off on tight corners after a long high speed straight.

Uh, that's how to win the Audi R8? That sucks , I don't feel like doing that race :( Oh well , I guess I will have to. By the way is that Fuji 1000 km on Fuji 90s or 80s? Because Fuji 2005 and GT SUCK!!!

The AUDI R8 Is "Purchase-able" I believe (PS2 not on ATM) & the FUJI 1000km is on the 90's Track 👍 NOT the 2005 abomination! :irked:

@ Kevin0323 The MERCEDES-BENZ AMG CLK-GTR Race Car '98 is plenty fast enough to win the "All Stars" Series. If you're having trouble winning w/a LMP Ride it sounds like a Tuning or Strategy issue! ...O.G. :D

I'm doing the All Star Race with the black R390GT1 (I like a challenge - doing it with the R92 is overkill and gives you three points a race), against an R8, an R92 and a Jaguar. I'm doing well except on the most technical courses like suzuka, when my tires start to run out the AI cars give me a very hard time due to their superior power. I'm about 15 points ahead in the champ, two races to go.

It's fun though, and I'm getting 65-100 points depending on tires and downforce (I just realized downforce plays a massive role in A-spec point distribution).

I got the BMW a couple of days ago and I assure you your problem is not the car. The Bimmer is absolutely the equal of the best Prototypes in the game like the R8 and the Pescarolos. After just four laps with the V12 I set my all-time fastest lap on Sarth. It's absolutely superb.

Enduro note: On Sarth II the Bimmer's tire life and fuel consumption are perfectly-matched. On Hard fronts and Super-Hard rears it goes eight laps, and has just 3 liters of fuel left when it pits. After 12 hours my Bimmer is about to lap the Minolta Toyota and Sauber C9 for the second time, with the speed set on "2" (Cruise).

On the other hand, the Peugeot 905 is, to me, the biggest disappointment in the game. It has high-speed stability problems, and is so slow to shift gears it feels like it has some sort of turbo lag or something. It's also short on top-end speed a bit.

Stick with your BMW V12. You won't find a better car.

I used the Minolta Toyota that I won from the El Capitan enduro, one of the best cars in the game. I just won the R92 so I'm going to go back and do some of the championships that I won with the Toyota for fun.

*Do some of the Endurance Events because these cars that I know could solve your problem.

How Do you play around with the tires??... like hard on front and super hard on the rear. ??

I used a "fully tuned" Nissan 350Z PITWORK (JGTC) - 926ps!!!
still very hard though, i got 89 - 111 A-spec pts....but i won the race!!! :)
R3 tyres on both front & rear...just playing with the downforce (wing) :)

I used the Black Nissan R92CP.
I were using racing hard tires on the back and medium racing tires on the front.
you can acquire the black Nissan R92CP in the used car lots (early 90's and late 90's) for about 1,225,000 (Pal version) between the days 694-700.

And here is a list of all prize cars:

Yes. You need to find the correct combination for the car you are racing & the setup of it, so that you pit in approx 2 laps after the computer controlled cars pit in for the first time. This gives you some clear lee-way on the track to build up a lead that if you don't, is easily lost when you pit in (especially if you have been running at a faster pace than needed to catch up & overtake some of the cars first)

Go to the dealership tune shop and buy both sets of tires you want to use (for example: buy racing hards and racing super hards). Then, go to the car settings (one of the icons on the race screen) and you can select specifically what tires you want for the front, and for the back.

Thanks Zardoz. I will stay away from the 905.
My big problem is that I just started playing the game and I only have 20% complete :D So I can't race the edurance races yet.
I haven't tried the B-Spec yet. :dopey: lol.
Yeah yeah.

The way I got started was I copied over 100k from my GT3 game and bought the BMW M3 and raced the One-make Race - Club "M" over an over again. When I first won this race it gave me the M3 GTR and I threw everything I had into it. I love this car. It dominates on the Club "M" race.

I just found out recently that you can race the german (Deutsche) touring race over and over again to get a lot of money and obtain the Mercedes AMG GTR Racecar each time. I just keep racing the touring race and selling the Mercedes for the 773k over and over again. :) The race is easy with the Audi A4 Touring car. Close to 1 million in cash and prizes each time isn't bad for a 5 race series.
I just get 1st in 4 out of the 5 races and quit the last one to get the car and 25k.

I don't like the handling of the Mercedes AMG GTR compaired to the BMW V12 so selling it each time is a very quick way to get 4.5 mill.

your gonna have to fight fire with fire Nissan R92CP in my own opinion is the best car in the game i won the all star series and the gt world championship the car can either be purchaced at the used car lot I on days 694-700 or days 1392-1398(black model) or u can win it in the 1000km fuji race the one u win in the fuji race has 50 more horse power since it is brand new and the motor is not tired i have settings for the nissan its my favorite car in the whole game i posted the nissan settings in the tuning and settings forum if u dont want to get the nissan the only other car that will get it done is the Toyota minolta which u can win at the El Capitan 200mile endurance race the formula gran turismowill win the race too but u can only get the medium race tires which wear out rather quickly and force u to pit nissan hard on front super hard on the rear and if u think the car spins too much u really need to improve your driving skills the settings i have posted in the tuning forum for the nissan doesnt make it spin out and i use no ASM and tcs is on 1

That benz is junk u must have kept restarting the race so u wouldnt have to face the minolta or the Nissan R92 cp that benz is over rated its too heavy and the wheelbase is far too long it handles like a shopping cart the Sauber Mercedes owns the clk gtr

Race the legend of the silver arrow race and get the clk merc touring car i like it almost as much as the m3 gtr race car u win in the first german race

If you are a good driver who passed the license tests easily, you will be able to win that race in any LMP. If you are not so competent, you will need the Toyota 88-CV, or the Sauber Mercedes C9, or something like that.

WHOA there young fella...VERY BAD FORM for a New Member like yourself to accuse anyone here of Cheating! :irked: You're entitled to your opinions for sure but just because you don't like or can't drive a particular ride don't think it cannot win! Have you even won the Sauber or the Audi R-8 or the Bentley or purchased either Pescarolo yet????

If you'll look back in your diary you can find your lap times for the "Gran Turismo All-Stars Battle." If you'd like to post them here I'll dig up the ones obtained with the MERCEDES-BENZ AMG CLK-GTR Race Car '98 & post them as well. I'm currently running the Series again with an even LESSER Ride than the Benz. ...O.G. :D

Just to prove gt4addict WRONG I ran this series again last nite. Had to Re-load twice to get a field INCLUDING the " Unbeatable" Nissan. P/W about the same as the MERCEDES-BENZ AMG CLK-GTR Race Car '98 but substantially less Downforce made it a "Handfull."

Still managed to best the NISSAN R92CP, AUDI A-8, Jaguar XJ-R9, BMW MacLaren F1 GTR Race Car '97 & FORD GT LM Edition Spec-II '04 at 6 of the 10 venues & only finished "Off the Podium" at the 'Ring where Lack of Downforce is a definite disadvantage. A "BAD Tyre Choice" cost me the Win at Autumn Ring & getting punted into the sand by the R92P at Suzuka after I'd put a clean pass on him bumped me to third there. Don't recall whay I finished 2nd at Grand Valley but I'll go back & "GOLD" them again. I do NOT think it possible (for ME at least) to best this field at the 'Ring. 20/35 MAX Downforce just isn't enough to cope with the "Yumps" at the speeds this thing is capable of!

Forgot to save the first two races but I DO have Laguna Seca available. Filled up my Memory Card so I wasn't able to save the others. :irked:

Oh yeh...the "Ride": Gillet Vertigo w/ Oil Change but
NO HP UPGRADES!!!

I'm gonna stick to my plan no matter how hard it is:

Toyota GT-one TS020 👍

Cheers,
Hiya PINK: Leave all the "Upgrades" OFF or you'll be bored to tears. The main thing the "Extreme Hall" is NOT is "Difficult!" :irked: The Formula GT Series is Looong but that's the only "Extreme" deal. Kind of a disappointment really! :mischievous: ...O.G. :D

Huh, wait, I'm confused. Did you used the Vertigo or the CLK-GTR? If this story is about the Vertigo, I would like to know if you used the CLK-GTR how difficult it was with that car and if you kept the car stock like the Vertigo (except for the tires and Oil Change).
