Huh, wait, I'm confused. Did you used the Vertigo or the CLK-GTR? If this story is about the Vertigo, I would like to know if you used the CLK-GTR how difficult it was with that car and if you kept the car stock like the Vertigo (except for the tires and Oil Change).
Hiya Sjenk: I've run it with BOTH rides. Been a while since I ran the Mercedes so I'm not sure if it required upgrades or not. The Vertigo has a LOT of HP  "As Purchased" but the lack of Downforce (20/35 MAX) makes it a real Challenge to drive smoothly. I only won 6 of the Races w/the Vertigo while I easily swept them all with the Mercedes. (38/53 MAX DF) IMHO a "Well Tuned" JGTC or DTM Ride is "Probably" capable of winning this series, it just is NOT that "Extreme!" I'll probably attempt it myself soon...O.G. :D

Hmm, k :) I still don't have the I-A and S licence, because I tried to do as many races as possible with the other licences (just passed 50% today). Right now I have 32 gold, 16 silver, so I would be surprised if I-A would be very difficult to get. After that I'm going to do that cup as soon as possible! :)

so whats the best car for this series?
i'm seeing alot of difference in opinion
i'm having lots of trouble
mainly the test course
i'm also aiming for 100% win ratio
impossible?

I have a question to.

I used a stock GT-one at GT World Championship against a Jag. a C9 and some other stuff but it isn't really a competition, I won the championship with 96 points with 9 wins of 10 races.

Now I'm planning to give this girl a stage 4 turbo for the all-stars but I think I'm gonna leave it stock.

Now about my question:Wich tires should I use on the GT-one??

Cheers,

Pink the Floyd, I admire your remarkable devotion to the GT One. It's actually tied with the Nissan R92CP as my favorite car ever. As I haven't aquired the GT One yet, I don't know it's exact horse power, but I can help you with tire selection. You will need to run medium tires on both fronts and backs, the races in this series were rather short in length. Some course like Nurburgring will require medium fronts and hard backs though. Hope that helps, and let me know if there are any questions.

What races are you planning on entering it into? You might try putting hards on the front and super-hards in the back for longer races.

Hello Everyone,

I'm getting stomped trying to beat the "All Stars" Race in Extreme Events.
I purchased a BMW V12 thinking it would do the trick but I am getting beat out by the R92CP on half of the races. I am not having any troubles with beating any of the other cars, just the Nissan. I have been playing around with the tire settings but Medium on Front &Back slides too much and the soft tires in Front & Back require a pit stop.... so I get to watch the Nissan flies by me as my pit crue goes as slow as they possibly can.

What car did you use to beat this track?
What tire combination were you using?
How can I aquire the Nissan R92CP or even the Bently Speed 8?

I was thinking of purchasing the Peugoet 905 and tring that against the R92CP but I figured I would ask you guys.

Thanks for any help!

First of all the R92CP sucks and is not worth the hassle i sold mine.
2ndly get your fastest car of around 600 bhp and do the nurburging 24 hr race.
Once you win that and get the f1 car go to either le sarthe 1 to win the audi r8 or le sarthe 2 to get the bentley speed 8. I have both. The bentley is 2 secs faster a lap around le sarth do the the extra power it has. The audi however handles better but at the end of the day they are both audis as audi owns bentley and the bentley is newer than the r8. The formula 1 car will have to pit often but it will definetly win by about 2 laps after the 24hrs. Just keep it on b-spec race setting 3 with overtake on.

Old Geezer
Not just ONE but TWO Versions (#17 & #18 I believe) are available for purchase at the Pescarolo Dealership.

"ONLY" 4.5 Million Credits.....each! ...O.G. :D

They're actually different cars, and are not available expcept by purchase.

The '03 model in the picture shown by F089/H has a 3.2 L Peugeot ES9 J4S V6 producing 519hp and 486.77 ft-lbs of torque.

The '04 model has a 4.997 L Judd GV5 V10 producing 591ho 501.89 ft-lbs of torque.

In addition to some bodywork mods to fit the 2004 aerodynamic changes. In the game the cars max tune is about the same, and they are pretty much equivalent.

My mistake as I posted from memory! :embarrassed: I prefer the Livery of the "Courage/Pescarolo C60" so kinda forgot about the "Playstation/Pescarolo C60" They're BOTH available as #17 or #18 giving us a total of FOUR! :) ...O.G. :D

In this and various other threads about the LMP cars I haven't seen much mention of the Jag XJR-9 - just got mine last night for 50% completion. Is it any good?

I've already got (and used) the Minolta Toyota, but fancied using something else for a change.

Thanks for all the advice guys 👍 Really helped.

Using my Gt-one in All Stars with front:RH rear: RSH

This event isn't really hard as I drove the 787B on more then 30 sec. on the 7 laps high speed ring while the R92 CP finished second.Still using the stock bhp though.PD should made their AI harder, they never really push to overtake. If I'm in the inside of a corner I just give full throttle and I'm away for the race.Just easy is that. 👍

Cheers,

BTW: Standings after round 2:

1:me: 20 points
2.787B: 12 points
3.R92CP: 8 points
......

This is gonna be easy 👍 ...... too easy 👎

Zardoz has the right mode ; the V12 is worth the  four and a half PLUS the R92C in black is v.fast , the B-spec has a real affinity for it , which ,sad to say it treats the V12 with less lust-to-win , but mebbe thats just the settings bias , the black R92C craves to be fed StOCK to the Bengine and The V12 loves to be pampered , tweaked & driven.

:cheers;

I cannot believe how difficult some people are finding this championship. i'll admit it was a challenge but i won it in a worked toyota 7 on racing hards. hell i won the first race in the fairlady 7 lm concept, i cant see the huge challenge drive smoothly and intellegently in a le mans car and the race is yours

I used a "fully tuned" Nissan 350Z PITWORK (JGTC) - 926ps!!!
still very hard though, i got 89 - 111 A-spec pts....but i won the race!!! :)
R3 tyres on both front & rear...just playing with the downforce (wing) :)

I did it in the same car but i did it in a "STOCK" Nissan 350Z PITWORK (JGTC) apart from nitrous oxide. it was very hard but very rewarding as i managed to win the championship.

I found this to be one of the easiest tourney's yet, I just took my stock Sauber-Mercedes C9 with hard tires on the rear, and left them choking on fumes. I'm pretty sure a well driven JGTC could win this event, it's really easy once you're out of drafting range.

Oh man, GT All Stars is a real killer (only if you face a R92CP or C 9 Sauber that start every race as 1st position). Thing is, you should'nt be B-Speccing simply because the slow cars BEHIND the fast cars. Do those practice laps and stay behind the R92CP. What i did was ram 'em into the dirt at that very vital corner. This would lead to a delayed lap, hence won't be first. That's when I B-Spec it. haha.

Also, as I already knew I was going to win the Mclaren F1, it was 5th and last place in every single race in that event. Don't you hate it when you win a car that's slower than the one you used to win it with?

There's no need to B spec it though... I found there were plenty of races where the R92CP was spinning out of its own accord anyway..

Just go out there and practise till you can do a clean lap, get pole, go out there and forget about the cars behind you. Look up 5 minutes later and I think you'll be pleasently suprised. ^_^

The AI NEVER drives a car to its full potential, you can take a stock Group C car and win like the wind with ease which pretty much proves it.

As long as you aren't going off track and can keep it fluid, you will be clocking much faster laps than the AI.

I won that championship twice with the Toyota 88 C-V and then with another car wich I don't remember but its wasn't a group c.
I remember that with the 88cv it was really easy, just I used always the hardness tires at the back and medium at the front or at least soft.
cheers

EDIT:don't buy the 905....gearbox R-U-B-B-I-S-H.....so slow,I've bought but never used, slow gearbox and not too much torque

Hahaha, the 905... I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.

Ugliest group C car of the lot. :)

And lets face it, it comes down to looks, as any of the group C cars can win this event.
