We may use a lounge in future races.

This^👍 without mics...should be fine.

I got bumped from behind on the last Chicane early 2nd race... and put far into the sand. No-one stopped on that ocassion but hey its racing.:indiff: No chance after that.

Until next time.

can anything be done in future to stop rogue cars entering the race? I was shunted off the track on race one first lap by an rx7lm! I understand that theres not much that can be done now but Im pretty sure I lost out on points because of it judging by the lap times

Unfortunately, not much, he joined as we started the race so we couldn't kick mid race or anything :S

I've had an unlucky two races with a nasty D/C at the end of this one.

People really need to up the level of their racing awarenes and realise what is a safe passing oportunity. I will watch through race 1 tomorrow and pick out all drivers who need their eyes opening, possibly followed by series warnings to all.

The start of race 2 was a complete disgrace from B6t. Passing should be avoided in the first sector, as the grid needs to fall into a single line as soon as possible.

(making good use of my 'marshal' role! XD)

I have to give my apologies to mcgloney. I was not patient enough, screwed up and cost you possible points in race 2. I'd like to learn from this and avoid doing that in the future. Sorry.

This was a race with lots of contact. My Silvia was banged up from the very start; this image is from lap 2, I think.

I like this, even if Im penalised. Turn 1, race 2 was, for want of a better word, disgusting yesterday. Keep up the good work GODfreyGT5!

right I hold my hands up for the race 2 turn one incident. I outbraked myslef and lost traction. One mistake. There were numerous mistakes made by most cars I shared the track with. Almost every car I passed or was passed by seemed to have little or no spacial awareness resulting in contact. There were mistakes made by the host which resulted in my first race being completely ruined by a car that wasnt even meant to be on the track. No apology. Public flogging of drivers on the chat within the lobby is not helpful (was not aimed at me but someone else who was off the pace but obviously just short of experience and not enthusiasm) and only creates a clique between the faster more skilled drivers amongst us which will only ever result in resentment. Some of us signed up for this series for fun? I do take it seriously although publicly pointing the finger is not constructive at all. Maybe a PM pointing out the erroe would be more constructive in this environment. I reiterate, there were loads of mistakes made by all around me which I naturally put down to inexperience or simple mistakes. I have learnt from the last couple of races and will carry on learning but this kind of negativity is no use. terms such as 'Disgrace' is not contsructive whatsoever.

Sorry guys I won't be taking part in this cup anymore , just don't have the time at the moment.

All the best to you driver.

I'd like to point out that this aiming to be a fun series, and it will be! We just need to reach a point where all drivers understand that any attempts at passes should be hugely considerate of the leading driver.

My biggest fear during yesterday's races was that drivers behind were going to try and outbreak me, when I was hitting the latest breaking points possible myself.

I may arrange for a race from D-Max's BTCC series to be uploaded to show how clean racing should look.

If anyone can upload Race 2's replay file from yesterday that would be great as I D/C'd and missed the opportunity to save it.

Thanks, Chris.

Enjoyed yesterdays races, disapointed with my incident on the first race and blew the chance to score some decent points, as for the 2nd race again ruined my chance of decent points (I span on my own at parabolica) but still had a good battle with knight, just a shame my tires were ruined!

Have to agree with some of your points there evo. I suffered a similar thing in another series where I was flogged for a small mistake and a clique appeared among the faster drivers. And in the end the fun went out of it for me. I do like a series thats taken seriously and run correctly but it has to be fun also. So I know what youre talking about fella. I think we are all a fault for yesterday's bumper cars at turn 1 not just evo 360.

Perhaps we should have 107% for qualy or something similar. I don't want to put off gamers of all abilities from joining the series but drivers who are running round a lap off the pace and running off the track at ever corner need to up their game as they're stopping people of better ability from running in the series.

The reverse grid is dangerous if lower skilled racers are involved, it's just asking for trouble.

Have to say because of my mistake in the first race I started at the front for race 2 so I missed whatever happened, it must have been bad as the gap I had over everybody else was pretty huge. The fatster guys did manage to get back to the front but still, people need to learn that the race isnt won at the first corner.

Monza was a BAD choice to do this early in this series, as it relies on driver caution.

Basically, half the grid entered the corner fine, then b68t came flying through on the right, completely flipping the race positions. I really need a replay save to see what else happened in that race.

I would argue that aggressive driving is contagious. I can certainly vouch that some of the aggressive moves made on me affected some of my overtaking decisions. Nobody was giving anybody else an inch and so you think you have to do the same not to lose out. I applaud Godfrey for cracking down on dangerous driving, even if I may lose out from it as well.

Congrats to g_knap and Widow on their wins this weekend.

The 1st turn was and is usually the worst turn. I think everyone is trying to pass the mess and leave it behind them. But not everyone can make it.

I know my partner is REALLY slow. I actually thought he was a better racer than that. I was worried about him getting in the way of the leaders. But he's having a hard time keepin up. Bourne-Machine won't be racing with me or us. He decided not to compete and knows he doesn't want to mess the race up for any other drivers. So that solves that problem.:ouch:

But other problems are out there... but nobody is perfect.:indiff:

Here's an example of some close, fast racing, with only a couple of incidents, both by pure accident.
Taken from my perspective during D-Max's BTCC series 1.

Hmmmmm

Well I couldn't even tell you what track were running lol

Will run laps tomorrow tho :)

Can't make tonight's meeting guys I have work commitments. Have a great couple of races. Good luck streetfighter

In case of re runs everyone should remember their start positions. We reset the track then go out in order, line up and start race. This will put everyone in the right place on the grid. Just a thought...
