they're all around 50K uk...so like what 75 us? = 15 k for legalization = 90K what motorex charges for a "new" R34....I'd rather have the NUR for the same price :)

Fair call.

On a side note these are the wheels I am in the process of getting :)
They are 17x9 inches, 3 piece alloys.

SkylineGTR, it is nice to see you making good use of the resources I show you ;) (Prospec M/S is a UK-based Nissan Skyline importer, tuner, servicing company, who source Skylines....due to lack of availability, they are usually sourced from Japan (GT-R V SPEC and V SPEC II), and if Nur, then definately from Japan, as these cars are very rare). There is like 2 Nur owners in the UK (check the UK GT-R registry), well I and many other people only know of two, and as you said you'd get a Nur from UK or NZ, and you said UK (Prospec M/S - your choice of importer) they get the cars from Japan so in effect you'd be getting your car from Japan hehe! These cars are selling out very quickly lol, so get yours quickly. I was gonna say something else, but I forgot  The owner of the company is Shin Inoue, who is very friendly (has been featured in UK car mags), is director of the Japanese GT-ROC and is very influential in the Japanese GT-R scene, and is now living in the UK with a VS2 Nur of his own. And I don't know if Prospec M/S import to the USA (I can't go on this site because of my gay router), and his business partner is Azmil - also very friendly. You can meet these people on www.gtr.co.uk - the UK GT-R registry (Shin's name there is Shin, Azmil's name there is Tim Saleh).

Will do Skyline dude. I wished I could have gotten the outters for my G7 Panasports but it is very hard to get new outters outside of Japan. Even with my contact who goes to Japan every month, he has been unable to find where to send them in order to get new ones made. I will hang onto the wheels as they are Japan GT racing alloys at a value of $2,500 NZ or $1,250 USD each wheel! 17x9 and weigh in at a paultry 11.9 lbs each.

Sometimes people ask me or I have seen it asked, what makes the GTR so special. Well besides the obvious potential of the RB26 engine, leading edge technology in the 4wd (ATTESSA) and 4ws (HICAS) when it was first introduce. Is the gearing and gear ratios vs the way the power is produced.

1st gear 40.3 mph (65kph)
2nd gear 77.7mph (125kph)
3rd gear 105.6mph (170kph)
4th gear 139.8mph (225kph)
5th gear 180mph (290kph)

While on appearance it may seem to be long geared, it is so to speak but since the RB26 doesn't really produce max power and torque even in standard trim until "peak torque 5,850 rpm" "Peak power 6,500 rpm" with no let of until just on 7,000 rpm thre isn't much let off as you get up into the revs. Factory rev cut is 8,250 rpm.

When you are driving or even as a passenger you quickly realize there isn't much of a let off as you go through the gears. Most cars lost with smaller engines will always hit that wall where the acceleration rate is diminished rapidly once you pull 4th or 5th. That is due to power vs torque vs gearing. As a matter of fact thrid and fouth gear are the really fun gears as 1st and 2nd run out way too quick to even enjoy them.

Heh, my dads Maxima does 75kmh in first and 130 second. It goes through them pretty quick so Id like to see the GTR do it nearly twice as fast

Mazda B2000:

1st: 40km/h
2nd: 65km/h
3rd: 110km/h
4th: ??? No roads long enough
5th: ??? No roads long enough

Yeah, bring it on GTR! :P

It wouldn't do it twice as quick but all he would see is the back of my car the whole way, even a super charged Maxima. Clock your dad's car 0 to 100kph. I've done it 4.4 seconds to GPS. He'd be lucky to hit 7 secs.

 Thats exactly what I was thinking! It doesn't matter if your car can get up to a certain speed in a certain gear if the other car is more powerfull you will see nothing but tail lights!

7 secs?
Ive done 1 run on those flat, straight country roads up in the Waikato and got 8.4. Not too bad. Motor got 8.7, NZ Autocar got 8.9 and Wheels got 9.3:lol:
Ill give it another shot when Im up there next, probably for the V8 Supercars.

Nearly twice as fast

When is the V8 supercars race? I don't really follow them so have no idea.

I really need to get off my lazy arse and catch up with cobraboy to.

HAHAHA red eye racer is pissed at me...because I "hijacked" the asteroid thread by correcting someone on their skyline knowledge and now he has his panties in a knot...

he wants to race me in the OLR thread....I don't see how racing in a video game proves anything...lol...kids.

I quote:

"So,... now that you know what my goal for this session is,... what will it be,... get back on topic; or have your dignity as a skyline professional questioned.......?"

and

"I was on my lunch break.
And I dont care what/where we race either,... the only thing I care about is whether or not you figured out the moral of the story about going off topic. If yes,... congrats, please show you've learned by acting accordingly in future situations. If your still all huffy-puffy, and we NEED to settle it in the OLR forum, then I'll have a reason to post a challenge."
go here:

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/t-29664.html

then read start on page 3 and tell me what you think.

yes racing in a GAME really has my dignity as a skyline expert questioned....on the other hand atleast he thinks I'm a skyline expert....

haha:lol: anyone who talks or even mentions the word "SKYLINE" or "GT-R" should know by now that their post will be under immediate scrutiny by gtr_guy.:)
hey razor you mentioned awhile back that the r34 is the only skyline that can reach 300km on the stock tranny, what is the actual top speed of the r34? skyline dude you can answer too since your such an "expert":D
