aren't all japanese cars limited to 180 km/hr? I know the Vspec II hit a 200 limit then another went to 250 (155 mph)..the veilside R34 hit 346.2 km/h...as far as I'm concerned the sky is the limit!

and hell yes anything about the skyline will instantly become under scrutiny! they should put that in the terms and conditions of GTP. Any post mentioning anything skyline related may be critisised and corrected by skylineGTR_guy and any other member of the nissan skyline club. This measure will be adopted to ensure the quality and accuracy of any such posts.

sorry _guy, I'm so stupid.:banghead:
1st victim!....search through the gtp archives and you can find hundreds of people who have fallen victim to your intense analyzing of posts dealing with skylines or other miscellaneous false automotive statements. personally i find it quite funny, escpecially(is that how you spell it)when people get angry.
Motorex is harsh man, 90K for an r34....thats going to take forever to get....maybe my friend will win the lotto and I can take his money. we wrote these "notes to self" things in a class meeting today that the school will keep on file untill our 10 year reunion or something. I put down my dream Skyline, a GT-R V-specII R34 in Bayside Metallic Blue.
now im just rambling on and on.....typing into oblivion because i have nothing better to do.

i think he rode in a GT-S or a concept GT-S or something like that. its on page 15 or something. don't quote me on that though. now hes going to come back, view our posts, and pick them apart. be prepared....:P
whats padantic mean? that ones not in my vocabulary.:odd:

 first off its not padantic it's pedantic with an E not an A :P the definition is: marked by a narrow focus on or display of learning especially its trivial aspects AND Characterized by a narrow, often ostentatious concern for book learning and formal rules.

300zx_lover: It was a GTT....that was later crushed because I guess it is a Nissan policy to crush cars after testing. I plan on filing a complaint about that. If I had known that it would be destroyed I would have stolen it...

Cobraboy: I DROVE a GTT way better than RIDING in one...and I live in the US...

Hey I wen't to race wars imports vs domestics at the local strip and they had 2 GTR's in the competition! Now that I think about it I should have stollen one of those too....Unfourtunatley i forgot my stupid camera.....so I'll see if anybody I know took pics...

now carry on with your conversation so I can yell some more  j/k guys....:odd: I wonder if there is a GTR fanatic contest?...Nissan should GIVE me a GTR....hell im sure I've said the word skyline or GTR atleas a billion times just in this forum.....thats advertising man!..Or atleast a freaking T shirt.....jeeze...

i saw one (or a car with Skyline badging) on Interstate 5 in California. i tried to get him to play, but to no avail. i may have been looking at the wrong dude, cuz i was looking at the guy on the left...

it was bigger than i had envisioned.

ahh...so predictable...:P j/k gtr_guy
#1. I said not to quote me, so don't.:irked:
#2. I totally agree about the Nissan advertising thing. There should be a Nissan Skyline Rewards Program where individuals who promote the Skyline in the U.S. recieve points to be used in the eventual purchase of a Skyline.:)
He drove it AND he lives in the U.S., BEAT THAT.....:D I don't know why i just wrote that.....maybe it's because i live in the U.S. and i take pride in the fact that I have read the words of people i consider to be Gods....GT-R owners and people who have experienced the Skyline. God if I could just even see one.:banghead:

:odd: so I'm one of your gods? Damn your screwed....I SMITE THEE!....wait no....then who will I have to yell at? never mind...RISE AGAIN...there you happy...I gave you your soul back...on second thought I'll let you live but keep your soul making you my minion! Now go forth and do my bidding! Spread the gospel of skyline through out the world! (and deposit 5 bucks into my paypal account for your tithe) boredom again.....although if I actually GOT a GTR do you think I would spend my time with YOU? lol....only if my GTR has a computer with internet in it ;).... j/k...I would still be here....and I'd have to make some cocky ass sig like Razors so everyone who sees my posts will bow down to me because I have one and they don't :P....ok I'm done with my rant....for now....(evil laugh)

it was just a joke you PADANTIC idoit(hehehe):P When did I say you would spend time with me??? fool, stop putting words in my mouth. j/k

note the sarcasm....:)

we should take this to the Rumble strip and call the new thread "Rant on GTR_guy". I wonder if people would respond....
I could write really mean-spirited comments about you:mad: and people would think I really hate you, and you me.
we really should get back on topic....(about skylines and stuff):)

TRD cam belt? WTF? If I'm going to be beaten I DEMAND a NISMO one...sheesh...naw people don't get pissed at me...most of them accept their wrong....I think the only person who REALLY hates me is red eye racer....

ok so back on topic it is!...I like skylines!....does that count?

 ok seriously, Hey do any of you know why Nissan gave VVT to the NEO series engines but not to the GTR? I wonder why they would leave such a good technology out like that?

Actually the R33 GTR and R34 GTR have a form of variable valve timing though not as extensive as the 2.5 GTT got. I have no idea why Nissan went that way and haven't come across any answers either yet. Though the speculations do fly around quite a bit.

really? because everywhere I look I don't see any mention of VVT...maybee since it's not as prominent, nissan chose not to include it in the specifications...

Yes.
Quick fact. The ecu out of the R32 GTR will work in an R33 GTR if chipped, but the ecu out of an R33 GTR will not work in the R32 because of the VVT.

No the R34 is completely different mapping and load points. While the engine is simular to the R33 the other inputs that the R34 require make that ecu a stand alone from the others.

From the dyno sheets I've seen the R34 is the most aggressive for sure. The enitre R34 range of GTR's That would be followed by the R32 then R33.

I emailed like 20 people about my gentlemans agreement question.....so far the only person who even wrote me back is the editor of Honda Tuning Magazine....I guess everyone else thinks their too good to help me....anyway he is going to get me into contact with some big guy thats in charge of HKS! :embarrassed:

Well my insurance company packed a major hissy fit about me getting those wheels so I've taken a pass and instead put a cheap CD stereo in the car replacing the factory tape deck. At least I can now listen to tunes without a band expander and cds yeaaah.
