I went down today and had a look at it. Man they've done an awesome job so far! The boot was going on when I got down there and the paint finish is fantastic!. The car will be done today on their part but the interior guy has been mucked about by his supplyer and the damn material has been sent to god knows where so I may be driving around with a partial interior for a few days until it shows. once completed I'll post some picks of before and after on the pannel and paint.

Well got her back today. Still waiting on the interior bits to be finished and once done will post those as well. Altough the actually amount of damage is hard to see as I didn't want any real pictures of it you can tell by the amount the bumper, tail lights and center piece is ajar.

In the second picture of the after the amount the back was pushed in, in that corner was nearly 11 linches! The left tail light assembly was busted up badly and bascilly I glued it back into some sort of working condition then resealed it from water. Sorry for the picutre quality I'll get better ones soon. also around the boot (trunk) lock there was a lot of key damage from the previous owner which they fixed along with 3 nasty small dents (not visiable in the photos) on the top of the trunk lid for free :)

There is more to be done. Next is the big spoiler which is cracking along with both outside mirrors but that will have to wait for a few months until i can recover financially from this one. The place uses nearly zero body filler. They spent 4 days peening it slowly back into shap and as you can see it is quite an intriqute shape to remake considering it was stoved in pretty badly.

btw that left tail light used to be black as that was the only one i could find so imagine recoloring it to silver and they matched it perfectly!

that damage you had would have really annoyed the **** out of me, glad to see you got it straight again

I'm Gonna carry around a gun when I have my GTR, just so no smart ass punk kid thinks he can steal my GTR badge or damage my car in any way. I'm getting lowjack too....Maybee a pitbull that I could chain near the car.....

Are those mags a purple/silver/grey/green tint?

No you dope. They are gunmetel grey or Momo's version of it. Those shots all of them were taken in low light. I will get some better ones posted up after the weekend.

Yes it annoyed the wholy crap out of me but didn't have the extra cash to get it sorted because every time I saved up the $ something else needed more attention that was more urgent.

Yep that is common here also, though I've been lucky so far as no one has nicked mine yet. The damage was done by the owner of the car, me. While backing out of the garage not too long after having the paddle clutch fitted, the wind blew the left hand door partially shut and well the clutch grabbed the car lurched, and the result was what you guys saw.

Actually as sick as it sounds I kept hoping some moron would run up my backside so I could get it fixed for free, now that I've gotten it done some arse will prolly do it which would piss me off to no end.

 Yeah. Although slamming the brakes in rush hour traffic should take care of it, but not too hard, just enought to tap you, you don't want your car out of action for too long. Or find a buddy who has a grill on his truck and "tap" your car with it then report it as a hit and run in a parking lot and you didnt catch the plate or the car becasue you were in the store. (make sure the store doesnt have a camera ;) )

My friend totaled his car racing then paid some guy to ditch it in mexico then reported it stolen

dodgy really dodgy!

Well on a good note I've had another electrical gremlin in the GTR, it turns out so far to be the coil pack loom. Mine was very brittle and even the second hand one doesn't look too crash hot but I've got a brand spanking new one coming from Japan soon.

I also split the first large intercooler hose that runs from the twin turbo aluminium pipe down to the inner guard. Nissan quoted me $536NZD + tax ex-japan! Bascially I told him to get stuffed as i can pick up a complete samco hose kit, all four hoses for $850 and they are made from the latest silicon. I sourced a second hand one for $80 so that is temp until I can get back on my feet, yea right, and purchase the samco hose kit. I'll also be replacing all the coil packs one at a time with brand new ones over the next 6 months based on budget allowances.

Ahh, I just know there are mags similar to those that have that chameleon effect going on.

Humm my last post didn't seem to work. Oh well.

There are a couple of evo's and one R33 GTS25t with the same wheels as mine but repainted in that chameleon paint. I'm not found of it but some seem to think it looks cool. I guess after so many car's have been sprayed in it you get tired of it right away.

To each their own.

Ok now I've got a delemha.

Samco hose kit for just over $850 actually or a Trust kit for $700 inlcuding GST. I think I'll look into the Trust one deeper but if it uses the same silican technology as Samco I'll got with the Trust one to save a bit of dosh in the long run. Looks like I'll be spending a good $2,000+ on replacing all the hosing in the engine bay but it is getting to that time and point where the years and heat from the engine bay are taking their toll on the rubber hosing. I'll probably replace the lot with silican hosing as it is more heat resistant and resilliant overall to rubber.

yeah, i had a reinforced rubber fuel line spit on my R33, after i took it out i was all worn and cracked. thats pretty much the only hose that was like that

i went on a big cruise last night for imported type cars, there were only 2 R33's (including mine) about 3 or 4 R32's and 1 Black R34 GTR (nice), most of the cars were 180sx's and S13, S14, S15 silvias. the other R33 was the Red one that i posted pic before (300rwkws'), that looks nowhere near as good now as it did before. the cruise went through the hills (fast) where a FD3S RX7 rear ended a SW20 MR2 (no one was hurt). there was alot of cops around but they didnt bother us much (in LS1 powered persuit cars). after the cruise finished my mates and i went on to see some fool cook down some tyres in his 180sx. it was almost a cruise of our own with 1 R33, 1 R32 4 door, 2 180sx's, 1 S14, 1 Z32 300zx and 1 FD3S RX7. overall it was a great night

heres the red skyline i was talking about, it doesnt look no where near as good as it does here any more. (japanese motors sports dont own it anymore)
