If GT5 gets delayed any more, then i don't think GT6 will be on the PS3. But on the PS4.
Yes, another delay would certainly break the 2 game per system tradition. Really hope it doesn't come to that though!

I'm still confused as to why Polyphony is treating Prologue as a completely seperate game when it was originally meant to be a heavily watered-down, simplified version of the full GT5. Anything they have in Prologue will most likely make it to the full game (with fixes, etc.) so why not just focus on making the full GT5 and only bring certain content into Prologue through updates? Wouldn't this make development quicker and simpler?
6 years? The PS2 is on it's 8th and is still doing quite well, and there are still new games being released for it.I think what made GT2 and GT4 so successful is that by the time those came out, they were huge games on a widespread, highly successful gaming console.
I can see the advantages of waiting 'till 2010, but yeah... it's kinda bumming me out. GT5 is about 75% of the reason why I'm even getting a PS3. I enjoy the series so much, and really it's been the only series I could trust to come out with a quality product. So I trust their decision. If they want to push it out for 2010, then it only makes me more anxious and excited.
Although, isn't it interesting how when GT5 finally releases in 2010, the PS3 would've lived for 3 years and if you know Sony Playstation history... their consoles only live for 6 years or so, meaning the PS3 would've already lived half it's life before being replaced by the next generation. It also kind of raises questions about GT6... Will it be available for PS3? Will Polyphony have reduced their production to only 1 actual game per console?
So the PS1 was being produced in 2004?
Agree that they should get the game as good as possible, but they could have skipped Prologue and only work with the full game..I'm fine with this, due to the fact I want the game to be as good as possible. Take your time PD.

Asta la vista.I have given up on the PS3 all together for the moment - I got it release day & have been waiting for a decent car game since then - GT5P is a joke, although i bought the import version & then the PAL version release day i am still dissapointed & have lost all interest & faith in the GT series. Then i have tried RaceDriver Grid, again bought on release day with high hopes of at least what V8 supercars 3 was, but i was wrong - It lasted 6 hours in my PS3 before i took it out.
I have been into my racing sims for a few years now & the only true game/simulator that gives me any satisfaction is a PC game called Live For Speed. Its a great game with a fantastic comunity & its really geared towards online racing.
Farewell GT forums untill GT5 is released & then hopfully i will be converted back to GT, but lets face it PD has alot of work to do & its not just PD either - It seems that the PS3 game devolopers are preoccupied with visuals rather then improving on gameplay & picking up where they left of in previous versions to improve.
This is just speculation, PD and Sony have said nothing about a specific release date yet.So...now we must wait until 2010?? Great![]()
Because player feedback and online testing helps them make GT5 better. Why update things on Prologue?? After GT5 realease no one will care...so instead of doing this, focus on the real thing PD.
That's your loss. I play GT4 for the tracks/cars and Prologue for the online matchups with other GTPers.I guess I will be playing GT4 for another 2 years![]()
Because it is technologically superior to the other two next-gen consoles. And, more importantly, the motherboard doesn't melt every three months.So...why the hell I bought a PS3?? Good thing I have a XBOX 360 too...

I know it seems like a long time, but that's what GT5is here for. GT4 is great, but you can't race against real people with a lot of skill. If it weren't for the online mode, I would have stopped playing Prologue months ago.
