I agree. There should be many, many more older cars from Europe and the USA.

Eventually, I'd love to see GT become some kind of virtual Beaulieu 👍

Heres a nice one:

Hate to bring up an old post, but...

Clearly you have never heard of the SCCA Trans Am series.

Several of these cars were also raced successfully on an international level, in Europe and Australia, particularly the Camaro and Mustang

I dream of the day that a sim racing game company is smart enough to do a game using the old Trans Am series cars. Think GTR Evolution...but with those :dopey:

Yes, I would like them, but only special ones such as muscle cars, supercars and racing cars. For the cheap, boring cars you buy at the start I'd rather just have the modern ones though, as we can relate to them more (us younger people).

But I agree it would be tragic to leave out cars like the Mercedes SL, the original corvette, and the Ford GT40.

@ Zimmerd

Good taste, i also love those 60's, 70's and 80's muscle cars, but i also love
the new ones...... Mercedes SL Black Series for example!!!

if this is considered an oldie then i want this one in GT5 to ride in George V Paris.

UPDATE:
this one is an old favourite though the Silver version HK 500 was also great. 👍

One of the best things we have in GT4 is the large variaty of news and olds cars models!

In my opinion the racing models (Le Mans, Rally ...) of 80' and 90' where the best in all GT series.

GT as "The Real Driving Simulator" must include classic cars and give the oportunity of the player to drive some old fantastics machines, and compere this drive experience with the current models.

Some machine from the past:

waitaminnit...
until i saw the car, i was going WHA?! 9i can't use the OTHER abbrevriation on here)
do I take it Aston had other things going on at the factory? cause that steering wheel logo is currently sitting on our farm tractor

That logo is the DB logo, it stands for David Brown and belongs to David Brown ltd. David Brown bought Aston Martin way back in the late 40's and is responsible for the start of the DB badged Aston cars. His other company David Brown Ltd which he started before acquiring Aston did build tractors but they were nothing to do with Aston Martin. The badge is his though and I'd guess he used it in several of his products but his tractor company and Aston Martin were never the same nor have they ever been, he just owned them both.

Hey if they started adding cars like the ford gt40 (ala gt2) and the series 3 e-type jag and ferrari 250 gto then I'd gladly work for them.

This thread seems to just be a battle between American and japanese cars. Calm down guys. Having an opinion is ok, you just have to respect each others. All of these cars have thier own good and bad points.
For example.

I love the sheer V8 grunt of the American Muscle and the simplicity of it all.
I love the high revving, small capacity japanese machines for thier technological advances of the time.
Most of all though i love the european cars of the 60's and 70's. Older Ferraris, Alfas, Maseratis have that sense of class and speed but the Old Lotus cars were all about the B roads and getting the most out of the car's handling ability, if somewhat underpowered.

All of the cars have their good and bad points. So accept it and respect others opinions.

Now, I'm not gonna proclaim the superiority of one certian type over the other, but this thread is rather devoid of Euro Love.

I agree. We need more Euro love!

I will be unimpressed if out of 900+ cars, there is no first or second generation MR-2. Was my favourite in all of the GTs.
