I just ran an 8:44.5 in my Fiat 500F  it was an ok lap, but I could have been quicker.

EDIT: and 5:20's or 30's is definately possible in a group C. Maybe it isn't in the Minolta, I can't say I've tried, but I've ran a 32 with the R92CP and that wasn't the best of laps.

I've been spending a little while in a Fiat Punto HGT Abarth '00 I just picked up from the UCD. I've changed the oil, rebuilt the engine and refreshed the chassis (and painted it to look more like my own Punto), but it is otherwise completely stock, Comfort Soft tyres and all.

The first lap was a 10:05.277, and the second lap knocked that down to a 9:52.823. I know it is capable of much more than that; there were many corners where I braked too soon and I even impacted against a wall halfway through the second lap, luckily not enough to void it. I'll be going back to the track now, but I just wanted to post these.

This car is a lot of fun to drive. I certainly enjoyed driving those laps in the Punto more than I do in a generic 800BHP race car. I suggest anybody else with the same car gives it a try. :)

Edit: Third lap was a 9:40.411. Still much more time to be gained here, but I have an exam to take in two hours; I probably be getting ready for that rather than driving around the 'Ring in a Punto. :P

Broke the 6 minute barrier with an entirely stock mazda 787b after a couple of laps the other night, was a 5:57:XXX. Not sure how good this is but seems to be ok. Was a fairly clean lap (one of only a few). May try again this evening to see if i can pull out a few more seconds!
All aids off except TCS 1 and ABS 1 on a DFGT wheel.

It's time to refresh my list of fast laps done with stock cars on sport soft tires! No oil change, all stock except sport soft tires, and only ABS=1. For used cars I do the body/engine refresh. (In brackets I'll put my thoughts on some of the tested cars)

6:44.686 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 '09 (Understeers a lot, but its speed it's just awesome, allowing it to be the faster road car I tested on the ring so far)
6:47.960 McLaren F1 '94 (My favourite car to drive, good handling and a lot of fun to drive)
6:56.428 Ferrari Enzo '02 (suffers from understeer, but has an awesome acceleration and high top speed)
6:56.762 Lamborghini Murciélago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce '09 (awesome but I expected a little bit more max speed)
6:59.072 Ferrari 458 Italia '09 (With 570 HP it's better and faster than most of more powerful cars)
6:59.670 Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR '08 (100.000 Cr, 610 HP, under 7 minutes on the ring, awesome look... anything else?)
6:59.786 Ford GT '06 (This surprised me, one of the best handling for stock cars, and it's fast in straigh line)
7:03.284 McLaren MP4-12C '10 (This was a disappointment, I expected it to be faster than the Viper and Ford GT, but it handling and grip is nothing special.)
7:04.567 Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 '08 (Good all-around car, well balanced with a little of oversteer at the end of turns)
7:06.878 Mercedes SLR McLaren (19inch Wheel Option) (It handles very well, but its weight penalize it a lot)
7:07.808 Lamborghini Murciélago LP 640 '09 (Off-Throttle oversteer, undesteer when you control the off-throttle oversteer, it's heavy, but still fun to drive)
7:09.395 Ferrari 430 Scuderia '07 (Awesome handling, it's faster than a lot of more powerful cars)
7:11.205 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano '06 (It understeers a lot and it's heavy, has a good top speed, but I have to say that I expected it to be better than this)
7:16.363 Cizeta V16T '94 (it's handling isn't the top, but still a fast car from the '90)
7:17.905 Ferrari F40 '92 (I just love it, even if it suffers from turbo lag and has a way too much long gear ratio in stock conditions.)
7:18.690 RUF RGT '00 (It's so stable, even if it's a RR, and it's fast if you think that it has only 404 HP.)
7:21.911 Dodge Viper GTS '02 (I just love it, since GT1.)
7:24.511 RUF CTR Yellowbird '87 (If you like oversteer, you like it. It's hard to control, but when you get used to it, you'll fall in love with it. Obviously its instability penalizes it in the lap time.)
7:28.508 Chevrolet Camaro SS '10 (good car with good handling despite it's heavy, and I like a lot the new livery)
7:30.521 Lotus Esprit V8 '02 (Fantastic car, well balanced, great handling, and for 349 HP it's fast.)
7:33.194 Mercedes C 63 AMG '08 (I have to test it better, because in that lap I've done two mistakes, I think it can do a 7:28.xxx with ease. Anyway i expected it to be a little bit faster than that, even if it's handling is good)
7:35.192 Ferrari 512BB '76 (What a car! So fun to drive, i just love it.)
7:44.552 Lotus Carlton '90 (Lotus knows how to make an Opel competitive, and it is the proof.)

If you have done it on racing hard tires, it's a very good lap 👍

I'm not too sure I think i just bought it from the dealership and went straight out on it. I'll double check later to see, when bSpec bob has finished crashing my car! It did take me a while to get under the 6 minute mark. Could quite easily do just over 6 minutes - 6:10 with one mistake or 2 per lap but it took me ages to get a fully clean lap. In about 1hr or so with the car i think i only manage 2 or 3 non-invalidated laps. It was so frustrating but made it all the more rewarding when i finally broke the 6min mark!

I know what you mean, driving these monsters (group C cars and LM prototypes) on the ring can be frustrating!

Fully tuned

7:56.xxx

I drove very safe, so that I wouldn't get off the road, therefore I'm not surprised if many people in this forum does it >30 seconds faster.

ABT Audi tt-r touring car '04

Car is squirrely, doesn't grab the track well. But fun.

All times are offline with an oil change, Race Mediums (exceptions when noted), TCS off, ASM off, ABS 1, SRF off (exceptions when noted) a one-lap practice and starting from 60mph/97kmh.

6:49.382 with a maxed out ZR1 RM. A truly terrible lap, I'll redo this one later.
6:39.4xx with a maxed out TVR Tuscan RM.
5:12.68x with an FGT, also not a clean lap by any stretch of the imagination. (Skid Recovery on)

I just ran a fairly spritely sub-13 minute lap in a Honda N360 with its 360cc 2-cylinder and 30hp. Actually quite surprised it was so quick!

Fastest times for me in ZR1 RM (All Online within a Race) No Aids/Racing Soft Tyres

-@905hp 1st lap 6:06

-@870hp I get 6:07-6:09, and it seems to always happen on 2nd lap.

Stiil trying to break the 5 min mark with this badboy, although I still need to purchase an LMP to prolly make it slightly easier.

After 2 laps in 'Ring with the Chaparral 2D, I managed a 6:44.039, wasn't really pushing it though, anyone did better with Racing Hards and no mods?

I tried to get a clean lap with a F40 (Stock, No driving aids except auto shifting, comfort soft tires... its almost undrivebal for me, but it makes alot of fun) at the ring for three hours todays but I never managed to get a clean lap or not invalidated lap :?

Anyone tried the F40 with comfort tires on the ring yet?

Still trying to do the 7:55 lap of the 2010 STI around the Ring on Sports Hard...I've got down to 8:06 but thats some ways off still.

I've just tried the 787B on the ring with the same setting but without TCS, ABS = 1 and Racing Hard Tires, after 4-5 laps the best is a 5:53.831, and I pushed hard all the lap 👍

If can help you, here's my lap with the Impreza. Consider that Tommi Makinen started the lap at the regular start line (the same in GT5), but finished just after the last turn, something like 80-120 meters before the regular start line.

Nice work! I still havn't tried with the 787b again, can't bring myself to face the stress! Was so much fun though, may have to try again later! Gonna push for the 5:55 barrier next! Something may get broken . . . . . Haha

The only one I remember was a 6:59 in a stock Enzo (Sport Soft tires) - definitely could have gone faster, and only tried 1 lap with it, but very fun. Car is a handful (in a good way).

This weekend - 2CV full pimped on comfort softs I think.

Finally made a RM ZR1, ran 2 laps and got a 6:00:045. I want a 5, but just havent drove it since then. Also done with ABS set at 1 other aids OFF including racing line.

My best lap so far is 5:39.348 with my Sauber Mercedes C9 I spent hours and hours ringing every last second out of it. For people claiming 5:20's and 5:30's with the minolta. Your full of crap.
What tyres were you using? I've just done in the Minolta:
5.35.151 on Racing Medium tyres
5.26.363 on Racing softs (<still time in this, I made obvious errors)

Also Red Bull Prototype X1 done a 3.30.288:D
And im a bit under the weather at the moment:ill: so yes, I am full of crap:sly:

Aiming at 8:01 about, should be very close to mr Mäkinen's time because of the difference in the finish lines.

My best is currently 5:54 in a stock Sauber C9, oil change and soft racing tyres only. Super sloppy lap though, got another 5 seconds in me at least.

Astra DTM (573bhp/1000kg/RS-RS) 6.19.103

Damn this car is fast, and on rails. I set a 6.27.xxx with only 500bhp the other day as well. I could probably knock another two seconds off that 6.19.103 too! 👍
