Just took my Works Murcielago around and its not even funny how hard it is to control did a fuzz over 7 minutes. Yes it has 970hp. I think the PP rating is 20.99, the highest ive seen. If someone can tame the raging bull, I thing it might be a winrar.

That is one of the few things I like about SHIFT though, when driving a 970HP works tuned Lambo, you actually HAVE to drive with care, there is no, "hop in and take it to the limit" about it. Not that there isn't a more realistic way to achieve this, but none the same, care must be used.

Don't know if anybody has commented on this yet, but the Karussell seems totally wrong in Shift (based on my experience in other games & watching RL videos). There seems to be no way to drive it to actually take advantage of the banking - you always end up sliding off because it's not "deep" enough.

I heard an audio interview with one of the guys who did the programming on that and he admitted that the Karussel was too deep. I'd expect that eventually it'll be fixed... of course we may all be playing GT 6 by then.

Hello guys, :)

I'm a little bit surprised that no times are submitted with the BMW M3 GT2 :sly: The car has a very nice feeling on Nordschleife... A time of 6.xxx minutes should works.

GTRP_TheHolyLM, Quickrace/Race-mod, unrestricted (15.00 cl.), BMW M3 GT2, 7.05.550

Have a nice day!

can people also specify what Aids and mode they are using. just so we know what to our compare our times to..

here is an example:

Porsche 911 GT2: Time: X.XX.XXX
Anti Lock Brakes
Traction control on Low
Experienced

i really need to do the ring more lol. i've done it maybe like 10 laps altogether.

All my laps are on Pro, with no aids. Once you get used to how a car behaves under braking and where the lockup threshold is, it's pretty easy to drive well with the anti-lock turned off. :)

Can you make this leaderboard so that it can represent more cars? For example, in the unrestricted category there are only a couple different types of cars in the top 15 but there are a bunch more cars that I would like to see on the board that have times just outside the cutoff. Maybe in the top 15 you should only list the top 3 times for each type of car so we don't have like 10 times from one type of car.

Here are my entries for now(forgot to get the last few digits so I will just put .500):

jhietter
7'10"500
Porsche GT3 RSR
Unrestricted

7'09"500
Audi R8 LMS
Unrestricted

7'06"500
BMW M3 GT2
Unrestricted

6'43"500
Aston Martin DBR9
Unrestricted

It's partly due to SHIFT's physics but if you enter it high, you should be able to ride the "carousel". But if the car has a tendecy to oversteer, it will slide down, regardless. Shifting down as you enter it, might also help, as well as slowing down. Most of the time, the advantage is that your taking the shorter inside lane but the speed is almost the same as riding above the embankment.

2010 camaro ss 13.04 lap time 7:26 with nitrous, i dont know how fast I was going in the straight becuase only goes up to 180 the speedometor.:indiff:

Very cool game. Steering seems a little "spongy" to me. Maybe I need to adjust my settings. I think I have the FF cranked all the way up. Using a Logitec DFP, same one I use for F1CE. Already have all the Porsches & Lotuses. I challenge anyone to a few laps on the Nurburgring online. I am undefeated after 10+ online races there! Cars tuned to 10.00 max is my favorite. My PSNID is GTP_Lofasz, so add me as a friend if interested.

My best time yet: 7:22.???

Porsche 911 GT2 - 15.09

My best is 06:24.713 in Aston Martin Racing DBR9 :sly: That Second Lap, first is always something around 6:28 if i don't hit anyone in first few corners. For two laps it was something around 12:58 I used only ABS in it's lowest setting. Full PRO mode and G25, no ps3 controller.

I did that laps chasing player called bajjak and he did it in 06:23.365 in Lamborghini Murciélago LP640, which i have to say it's impossible for me, i have no idea how to go that fast in Lambo, this car is completely unplayable  for me. But i noticed that mos of the gamers bounces from the walls many time so this give them some advantage. I don't prefer this kind of style, i like to drive on black ..... that means asphalt/tarmac.

so i will see you guys ON-LINE my psn is nWcPL and i am hosting every day from 8:00 PM Eastern Time thats 14 pm on GTPLanet Time :)
two lap race
Mixed Race
Car Unrestricted / you can chose any thing from your garage :) your personal livery is more than welcome
Nordschleife

if someone feels like challenger then i will welcome you with my arms open, i always keep Throttle pushed to the floor.

ok, one more thing, just to check if some one in this thread post real times and not take them from the moon, or did them on PS3 and not on PC (because there is a BIG difference in driving and in game physics) you can go to needforspeed.com and go to Rankings, there just simply chose PS3 and Best Laps, and pick the right track to really check if some one post their true records. If you create an account then you can even post your pictures from races.

OK. Surprisingly enough I HAVE pointed out something that escaped some people's notice.

Personally, I would prefer all stock cars in TT mode. One lap, one time. The 2 laps in Race mode isn't very practical on the Ring. It would be nice if they fixed the "early" start in the TT mode, however.

I just realized that the best set-up is Race mode, one lap, as it gives you a standing start.

disagree, two laps are better for online racing, because on standing start there's always accident on first corner, or on first few corners, and then when the hell of crashing into each other finally Ends and every player manage to escape from the crowds the real Racing Begins, i noticed that while i race so many races for last days. They are some not that good players and some how they manage to escape crashes and gain like 5 to 8 seconds of lead, so what you have to do is simply chase them and if you manage to ever take / take first position before the carussel i think that you have the race in your hands from now one. Thats Because Aremberg, the fast section of Nordschleife is very good to overtake, to chas, to close the gap between players, and after The Carussel you get Nurburg, the very technical part of race, there are so many corners from left to right, up, and down, you drive there like a maniac, and if you don't make any mistake there you can gain extra 5 to 8 seconds. And on that long straight if you are use slower car you can loose around 3 to 4 seconds, it's like drive Zonda R against Koenigsegg CCX, you will always loose those 4 seconds because CCX will go 360 km/h when you can manage only around 315 km/h (it is only a example of loosing second on that long straight).

And after that the second Lap Begins !!! now you can really start pushing to the max because if you chase during the firs one and manage actually to close some gap between you and the leader, then you have still opportunity in your hands to win, if you already in the lead then the race is yours.

Zonda R: 6:12:230
Racing DB-R: 6:18:x
R8 FSI: 6:43:750

The dewds on wrecord.com have Zonda Setups so they can drive 370 on the long straight at the end, and get 5:5x times, which in my opinion are impossible.
For 370 you cant give your Zonda any wings at all - That means slower corner speed but much more speed on straights.

Its pain in the ass to find a suitable setup for good cornering and fast straights.

Im trying this setup already, but as im used to more wings, i didnt get a good time yet, because of some crashes here and there.

Btw: Strange thing with ingame nfs record times: I've driven that 6:12:230 in offline quickrace, but after three weeks, it was in the list of records.
So i dont think ingame Record Lap times would only be counted if you drive online races.

That's a nice time in Aston DBR9, driving this car gives you the same chance as opponents because you can't take that machine to garage where you will mess with set ups. just car prepared for you to race, no messing around with wings, with differentials, etc.

I noticed that in some corners i slow down to much and also i think that it's about time to resign from ABS help.

And a quick question from me. If someone do change set up in his car, let say Zonda R and then take to on line race, do those setups will still work, or the car is back to it's original set up ?

My lap time of the nurburgring.

Zonda R.
Stock tune.
1 lap.
All assists off including ABS.
no racing line.

6.37.860

Aiming for the 6.20's mark when i get a better tune for the zonda R, and hopefully the leader board after that lol.:nervous:

I would done 6:17 without any tunes to Zonda R, but just before end of the track i did stop the car because i want to my Record of 6:23:360 with Aston Martin DBR9 be on the leader board. That record i did in ON Line race and i am really proud of it. I don't want to be erased by some Zonda... pfff :sly:

But still, fol one lap. and Race line off you have good skills, my congrats :)

Thanks:tup: and thats a good time, i still have a lot to brush up on to hit your time so your safe for now lol :sly:
some of the times on this leader bourd have me excited some of them are sick times, lookin forward to trying to beat them think i need some better tunes to make my cars handle better tho.

just stumbled upon this site via google, amazing idea for a site.
and your tunes are spot on i have all my cars are setup by your tunes, top work.

i drive on the nurburgring (full) most of the time and even tho the tunes are set up for the london track mostly they still performe perfect on the ring.

i must say i was impressed by the change in the evo it tops out faster but now has the power in the rite place were it can be used and handles so much better you can keep it precice or flick it out a bit so much fun to drive.

i have a request if your not to busy, would you set up the zonda r for the nurburgring.
i have my time down to the 6.30's mark and want to get it to the 6.20's and below.
thanks
THE HOG

Well the thing is, that Tunes don't give you 10 extra seconds just from the car it self. You have to improve your skills a lot. For like last four weeks I've been hosting 2 lap race on Nordschleife and did lots of racing there, i improved a lot and i know that tunes it self is not miracle worker. If i could change some setups in Aston DBR9 i would go maybe 3 seconds faster. some guy did 6:17:062 and my personal best is now 6:23:160. As you see thats nearly entire 6 SECONDS to shake off. I'm asking WHERE??? maybe he did hit some walls that gives him a couple of seconds, maybe there is a corner that you can cut through the grass and game will not punishes you with penalty. I have no idea, because i like driving on the tarmac/asphalt that's a habit from CMR 2.0

you can find all the lap times in heare THIS SITE just change to ps3 and lap times, then choose right track.

ps my current record for Nordschleife is
first lap 6:25:850
second lap 6:23:160
two laps 12:49:010 in On LINE Race unrestricted not tuned Aston Martin DBR9

I think i raced in one of thos races i was online past 12 midnight and there was a host doing a lot of nurburg and 2 laps aswell.
He almost beat me becase i am used to only 1 lap of the nurburg so when i crossed the finish line i sat back and let go of the steering wheel thinking it was over, lucky for me he crashed and i got him :sly:

Yesterday in On Line race with Zonda R 06:20.858 i did make many mistakes and still working on my Zonda R Nordschleife setup. I know that i will improve that lap by two seconds at least.

I manage today to set my new personal best record at Nordschleife in Zonda R using my own tunes not that 🤬 up by T12.

snap062r.png

The time is 6:15:500, i have video of reply to prove it :)

I'm reckon that if i could be much more brave in some corners that probably i could go down by 2 seconds but that would be my best, my driving style is at my best and my tune is compromise between fast section of the track and tight corners at the very end of it. The car response perfectly and it stick to the ground like it's being glued, and it goes fast like bastard too.

Ok, I was wrong, you are rude, please leave my thread, I will not be adding your times to my board. 👎

I didn't knew there is any, until you just say it. According to those times i wound not be the first, the 6:11 is beyond my skills, so far third place overall in Unrestricted and the fastest in Aston Martin DBR9. But what struck my is that how rude are you?? You didn't post my times when i did write them in this thread! When you doing something do it right.
