I just did a blistering lap in the Peugeot 908 HDI, before the updates I did a 5:31. This was no doubt a much better lap and its 5:38, ive got a video of it. Makes me wonder though, shouldn't the leaderboards be wiped because we cant improve on the times anymore?

I recently beat several of my older times. But you really need to spend hours and hours practicing.
Thanks, I really dont think I can better it now as that was probably a perfect lap for me. I still think the Audi R8 '01 is a faster car but just a bit to sketchy, Ive been up on most timing point but just cant keep it on the track.

No worries, Summer is Summer and it only comes once a year. No need for video unless some people want ''proof'' ,
personaly i may ask for the first time, especially if the existing lap time was already quick. From there i trust, so far everyone has been honest and its great, i know you are quick with the Formula one from what i remember of the ''monaco'' TT, i will not be surprised if you post a ''beaten'' time

Are you talking about the all aids off, clutch and no grass category mentioned earlier or just ABS off category?
I've got some new lap times I haven't posted yet... drove some of the cars without ABS, does that matter?...

Probably not that much rules, since we would need a video for each run, it would probably be too much trouble for the driver and verifier.
The only difference would be ABS OFF, may be start with the production category for now and see how popular this get.
unless some of you that want the ABS OFF also want more rules and that we can agree on a way to verify the lap if needed, at least the first few times for the new drivers.
If you used no ABS for your new times i will add them in this category no problem when summer go away and i'll be back updating, but its the nicest summer we are having in a while for now!
I also dont have problem keeping pace with older time.

I too think they are messing around with the handling of at least the FGT. Seems like every update since 2.01 I have to change the tuning to keep up the lap time. In 2.0 I was doing 4'42.2 with RS tires and ABS 1 (no other aids), around 2.04 the best I could manage was 4'44.9 with the same, and 4'45.4 with ABS off. I haven't driven it for a while and got used to the low pp F2007, but have been trying again this week, even with practice and another new tune, 4'47 is so far the best I managed.

Its not about believing if this time is possible or not , everyone can post a time that is possible, your time can be 0.001 or 15 seconds faster but if you are new or it dont look right i will ask for a video, from there its all good for the next submissions.
i will ask for a video or replay this time just to confirm, for the first submission at least.
Just to make sure, Skid Recovery Force is not allowed, and i will see if its ''on'' or not.

thanks for telling me that. It may take some time for me to get the video up but i do have a question about the reply.
When i go to put in on my Ps3 to m y PC, is there a way that i can make sure when people on GT planet watch it that it will be on a certain view? Because well if its on the origional reply cam that doesn't show my lap times or current speed and ect, then how would it prove that i did the lap.
Or would u beable to tell just by watching the car go around even if the camera isnt on the car itself?

It depend if you send me the replay file, or if you take a video of the replay on your TV,
or if you record the replay with a HDPVR from the PS3 directly on the computer.
If you want everybody to see it, you can just start the replay of your lap, select a driving view, we will see the tire used on the screen, id prefer the hood cam (not bumper cam) to see how the car react.
like this video above, i change the view and you can see the tire used, then i click on the option to remove the displayed info, you can use the same driving view on your replay so its easier to see how the car react.

Ill try to get it to work so that u can see what all im doing. Thats the view i want to use but ill try my best to make it watch-able for you.

I watched the replay file and its all good, driving aids were used but not SRF.
Unfortunatly like i told you in PM, the first page of the thread is not as much up to date vs the sheet and theres already a laptime faster posted by OK8.
Sorry for that, feel free to post again using the spreadsheet, everything after post 2031 is not updated 100%.
