Nordschleife Lap Times

Wow, that looks pretty good 👍

The looks and sound are really good, and although the laptime is a bit unrealistic and you can't really tell what it feels like to drive, it looks like the effect of downforce proportional to speed is modelled really well... plus, sounds from the way you're managing the throttle that you have to drive the car properly.

Is this PC only?

Sound is friggin' fantastic! Only serves to remind how little work went into PD's sound modelling. Can't wait for PCars.

What a thread! I just happened to run a bunch of 90's JDM stock cars on the 'ring a couple weeks ago.

This is my first submission. I don't have any replays. But if you look at my times you'll see they are competitive and can easily be beaten. I do have two stock 3000GT times, but I ran them on Sports Hard to compete with the GT-R's, instead of the comfort softs they come with stock.

Production (stock):

7:58.899 - Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec (R33) '96 (GNR1987) BEATEN

07:59.523 - NISMO Fairlady Z S-Tune (Z33) '02 (GNR1987) BEATEN

08:06.026 - Nissan Skyline GT-R (R32) '91 (GNR1987) BEATEN

08:06.254 - Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec (R32) '93 (GNR1987) BEATEN

I feel kinda bad for the NISMO time, I only beat the guy by half a tenth

Great thread. I remember I tried doing this for GT4, but it didn't catch on. I am currently in the process of purchasing a PS3(ONLY for GT5), and I will be religiously posting times once I can get used to the different physics between GT4/GT5. I've played them all since GT1 first came out, but time/money has been tight, so no GT5 so far. I'll keep these times in mind, and practice on GT4 for now.

cheers

*EDIT* Bought a 160gig PS3 and GT5 XL today for a grand total of $180USD. Not bad. Still updating and installing though :/

I'm gonna make a list of the cars that are yet to be driven so if there are people still interested in finishing the list let me know and I put the list here when I'm done.

👍

Yeah go ahead, been playing online i wanted some change (never played online before they changed the physic) i will update the list again one day, i have to fix something on the sheet, got helped but it ended quick, i have to put the sheet like it was before :) just make sure the lap you post is faster than an existing one, and keep your replay in case we ask for a proof. :)

This is the list of cars that are still without a time in the Production (All Stock) category. I want to say that I'm not sure that all the cars in this list are "production" cars so if you see cars that don't belong here let me know and I'll update the list.

These are some errors in the sheet I saw, I put it here so the OP can fix it later.
08:49.xxx Bora V6 4MOTION '01??? I later realised this car was the Volkswagen Bora V6 4MOTION ’01 that's why I think is important to write the complete names of the cars so there is less confusion and you avoid putting the same car twice on the list. See bellow.
08:14.xxx Alfa Romeo 147 GTA '02 (doble 08:16.xxx)
08:34.xxx Alfa Romeo Spider 3.0i V6 24V ’01 (error in name) (doble 08:49.xxx)
08:26.xxx Honda Accord Euro-R '02 (doble 08:34.xxx)
09:28.xxx Honda Odyssey '03 (doble 09:30.xxx)
07:53.xxx Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR T.M. EDITION Special Color Package ’99 (doble 07:59.xxx)
08:35.xxx Peugeot 206 RC '99 (doble 08:38.xxx)
08:57.xxx Peugeot 307 XSi '04 (doble 09:01.xxx)
08:30.xxx Renaultsport Clio 2.0 16v '02 (doble 08:45.xxx)
09:07.xxx Volkswagen Lupo GTI '01 (doble 09:16.xxx)

This is how it reads...
P = (Premium)
S = (Standard)
P/S = (Premium/Standard) the car have both variants and neither have been driven yet.
/S = The car have both variants but only the premium version has been used.

Resurrection of thread!!!!!!!!!
Lets not les this thread die out it's one of the best tracks in the game and one of the funnest to drive.
I love to hate it but I am getting better at it!!!!!!!! maybe get an update on the list of times on the first page so it's current?

So these are cars below that don't have times yet? Apologies for a stupid question, I'm new to the thread. Great archive of times, BTW

Thx for the interrest!
I will be back when cold weather come back in november, but i will not update this list anymore unfortunatly.

I will be working on a new Nurburgring sheet for GT6. :)

Updating laptimes is time consuming and putting as much effort on GT5 is pointless if GT6 is really coming out in december.

Make sure to watch the new thread the day GT6 is available! 👍

That's good news, Mike - I'm sure you'll do a great job. It is a time-consuming task - but think of it as a service to your fellow lunatics.
Just a suggestion - I know that GT6 will soon take up all our reality (or most of it anyway  ) but I think that there will still be newcomers to GT5 - maybe even those who want to play 5 before 6 - and there are those who may still be only now stumbling into the Gran Turismo series and may have come across a used copy, and so on . . . so this thread will most certainly be referred to - if only by unregistered guests . . . and with that in mind maybe you can elect someone, or someone could volunteer, and take over the topic via a cut-and-paste of the statistics in a new thread that that person could then edit. Spec II and close this one?

Looking forward to the mayhem on the Ring in GT6 :) 👍

If someone want to continue updating the GT5 board, i can allow it on the Google spreadsheet, no real need to update the thread OP.

Hey all,

New member here and im sure this thread has been posted before...

However, im a ring addict and was wondering if i can find a sub 6 min ROAD CAR.

Currently, my best times in road cars are as follow:

Note that these cars are fully tuned:

Bugatti = 6" 21
Mclaren F1= 6"30
GTR Black= 6" 34
Mclaren MP4= 6" 34.

So this is my time range, and I was wondering if I could find a road car that can beat that by a margin..

PS: WHERE SHOULD I DRIVE TO HAVE REGISTERED TIMES AS MINE ARE ALL IN PRACTICE MODE

Nice to meet you all, regards...

What tires are you using?
this thread wont get updated anymore since GT6 release is very close, but i will start a new Nordschleife leaderboard for GT6.

You can try the Volkwagen Nardo may be, it has downforce and is a road car, NSX LM road car as well...

All cars on racingg soft

Ya I guess that makes sense for gt6 but do we have to submit or smthg?

Ill try those cars and update u

For GT6 it will work the same way, just read the first post of the thread, it explains what to do to post a time. :)

Is this thread still open for posting times? :D
I just found this thread via the new GT6 one. I have an old F2007 video which I think is eligible for the Open category (sfr was off and grip was set to real).
So...

04:47.537 - Ferrari F2007 (Alienware_10) NEW

Everything is already in the description of the video, but I'll just post the screenshot of the setup here as well: http://shrani.si/f/2h/7u/X4ToqUi/ferrari-f2007-set-up-a.jpg

I wont update this thread again, but if someone is serious and want to continue it i dont mind allowing someone to modify the google spreadsheet, and i can modify the first post to refer only to the spreadsheet.
