Changing the tire actually made the tire bigger!
On civic type r 98 Using manual transmission, 2.500 final drive
2.717 gear max speed:
normal tire = 85
supersoft tire = 88
1.537 gear max speed:
normal tire = 152
supersoft tire = 156
this should be equal to 0.5" change of diameter, maybe from 22.5" to 23"
It also works on Spoon S2000, 4.1 final drive, maybe 24" to 24.5", 1.718 gear max speed:
normal = 92
supersoft = 94
It also works on Supra RZ '97, 3.266 final drive, 1.000 gear max speed:
normal = 157
supersoft = 160
It also works on Spoon Integra, 4.875 final drive, 1.034 gear max speed:
normal = 131
supersoft = 134
It also works on Levin '85, 4.300 final drive, 0.861 gear max speed:
normal = 138
supersoft = 144
It do not works on R34 Vspec or Viper RT/10.
So, to someone who notice this first by visual (sorry, I forget your name), you are right 👍 !
And to someone who said you can make your wheel bigger by using some BBS rims, no it doesn't 👎 , atleast not for Civic Type R '98.
