Nos is killing the drag community

Although nitrous adds a new dimension to the game, I have to agree with the op.I built up my garage with old muscle and spent a considerable amount of time tunnig with out nitrous only to go into rooms with kids using it, lying about it and thinking there king fast. Its basically gonna take the tunning out of the game. Without the speed test, I felt the true tunners would shine. Now just put the NOS on and your fast. Just my take on the subject.

For those who don't know how to disable nitrous. When making a room or changing room settings goto "Car Filters" and "Filter by Performance"

Once filtered by performance a second column will appear. Go to the bottom and select nitrous

Can I ask why a lot of people downright refuse to touch nitrous in GT6?

I call it the NFS Effect.

Basically, if a certain customization option is seen in an arcade style game (such as NFS), then it shouldn't be seen in GT. I tend to disagree with the Effect, but in the case of N2O, I can't say I really wanted to see it in GT.

And also, it is a bit of a cheap shot to use N2O, especially online.

It's a cheap way of being "fast", it takes absolutely no skill. It's just like using SRF. Focus on tuning instead of tapping R1 when you're losing.

I love drag racing with bone stock cars but most people don't like racing with stock cars.

WE'VE BEEN SAVED!!

We
WE'VE BEEN SAVED!!

We've been save but imagin trying to keep up a tuners drag room. You'll be waiting for hrs . Organizing a room through gtp may be the only option.

@ColdBlooded

I looked at that filters thing when I was creating a room but didn't know what it was for btw. I just left it alone at first.

What if everybody uses nitrous for the whole run?

Oh logic fails...

Because it's something new.

People tend to start bitching about new stuff.

Nitrous to noobs is like a drug in gt6.

100k a pop

Since most are not racing for the credits, their spending actual money for it to get the nos fix. Gotta credit card bro?? Lol

This is entertaining. Calling someone a smartass and ignorant for asking a question

I guess I'm a smartass too? Never participated in this drag racing gig before.

Ok so some know me when i tuned on gt5 and its good to be back.

Just started up tuning and experimenting on gt6 drag tuning only to find not one person to tune against for regular tuning no nos.

Went into about 3 rooms only to find everyone using nos. might as well drag an x1.

Made a true tuners drag room only to have one guy lie about not having nos and nobody else showed up. I closed down the room.

It was hard enough finding decent drag rooms in gt5 and gt6 will be even hard. Making reservations on gtp will only be here and there.

I love drag but quitting and buying my g27 wheel to just enjoy offline and online racing may just be my best option.

How about drag race with your G27. It makes it fun (fun as long as you aren't one of those people who use the clutch to take off then paddles for the rest).

That may be your opinion. To know when to use it and if your opponent is using it is where tye skill lies.

If you wouldn't race with people you don't know, you would have honest opponents who will save the spray for another person.

If you race with straight up people, then using/or having NOS wouldn't be a issue.

Wow, I thought this forum was familiar with retorical questions. Guess not.

Have fun with that right index finger. You guys are defenitely going to need it. Just like there was the echeat, now NOS.

Well like I said above. Race with straight up people.

And also I totally disagree with it being the same as the echeat. This is why I don't tune my cars. Anyone can be beat with a tune (which is the same case about you complaining about being beat by someone using NOS) but with stock vs stock one make race, now that is where the true skill is.

I have no problem drag racing with a wheel or controller. It's still doesn't happy your game with everyone spraying.

The second thing you said would be just too much and it's hard to get a group of people on the same page to organize like that.

I'm not willing to just constantly guess what you have and when you'll use it in a drag room. I'd rather know that I lost or won against regular tune so I can go retune and adjust.

I mean seriously if I wanted to drag or race cars like this I woulda just brought an Xbox one and brought forza. I really LOVE gt series but, but.....never mind

Then you have go to refill your nitrous every 3-4 runs. That's so logical.
Of course is it logical.
A bottle of nitrous is not an infinite source.

I guess you confuse logical with comfortable.

How is it different? I mean I know NOS was put in the game by PD and echeat was not, but all it does is give kids an easy way of winning, without any effort of tuning the car. So its effect is the same. And we, who like to tune our cars like to have the effort pay out. Whatever, this seems like an endless tunel, I'm done.

And I cannot possibly see how beating someone with a tune is the same as beating someone with NOS.

Here is the only logical take on the nitrous issue,if youre in a lobby where its allowed, you just need to assume everyone will use it,use it as well, dont feel bad about it. You dont like it,dont wanna use it? There are plenty of others that share that opinion, thus we have nitrous prohibited rooms,go there. As time goes by,we will develop relationships with those who truly want good matchups, like myself, and youre always gonna have the ones who have to win at any cost. Who the heck wants to win every race? Gettin beat is the only motivation Ive seen that makes me keep on tuning.Just try to win more than you lose,in drag racing, thats a success

I don't even drag race, never found it interesting. But what isn't right is that you dismiss a point as someone being a smartass and a noob for no reason whatsoever when he was simply asking something. No reason to rage out over it and start a commotion and put on that attitude. It's :censored:hattery and doesn't really add anything to the discussion.

The problem the thread put out can easily be solved with simple lobby options that are already available to you, this isn't killing the community unless Nitrous wasn't an option in an online lobby and it was free to use anywhere. Still you can just use it like anyone else does in the lobby if you're into it. Otherwise don't bother at all and live happily ever after in your own room or someone else's room with Nitrous off, or try to convince the host to turn it off. Also, you can't fix people either.

You guys are fussing over a simple problem and blowing it all out of proportion.

Simple solution: Run in Private lobbies with people you trust and don't insult others for not agreeing with your opinion on the forum.

That's all I was saying in my previous posts.

Why complain about the modification in general when it's the people who you are hanging out with that are doing what you are complaining about?

Seems to me like the people complaining about not knowing who is using it or not are not hanging out with honest people. So as a result change who you hang out with because that seems to be the real real issue here.

its not the nos. its people running hacked cars. tell me how someone can drive a go kart at the same time as a street car. everyone post pics of you doing it yourself. lets see this bulls*** happen.
