Nos is killing the drag community

Jesus Christ, what a group of whinning people. If your ass is getting dragged by someone spraying then don't race him. SIMPLE. Don't mess it up for those who wanna race both ways. Why would you say nitrous needs to be removed. Its a DRAGRACE PEOPLE!!

It makes the game that much more dynamic. Now you have to focus on both types of races. Saying nitrous needs to be removed is the most childish comment I've read. I have tunes for all motor and nitrous. Its competitive. Grow up children.

Completely agree with this guy!

Just watch the language mate, mods won't be too pleased...

Do I enjoy the NOS addition to GT6? Too early to tell. Later down the road I see some interesting competitions being made:

- 800HP RWD vs 400> AWD with NOS.
- FF with NOS vs RWD all motor.
- Competition where you're allowed to use NOS but aren't allowed to refill so use it sparingly to last the whole competition.

As of now I don't use nos because I want to tune all the cars first. Then when we know what each car runs we can mess around with nos. But as long as we can block it, I don't have a problem with it 👍

If your a real tuner then you shouldn't have a problem tuning for N2O, force induction and all motor. Plus if you run with someone that is honest you can have a lot of fun... I ran a S13 180sx vs a full built gt500 and it was fun seeing the s13 mop the floor with the Shelby knowing that in GT5 this could not happen.

I see one glaring problem with your first idea, considering a 400hp AWD with 70% or higher nitrous will destroy almost any FR under 900hp. One in particular that will eat anything that doesn't have MR-type traction.

Those were basic ideas. Maybe they'll be limited to 300hp. Whatever makes a fair race. Nos could have it's place but the game's barely been out for a week and it's too early to be asking this question.

Were you ever big into drag racing on GT5? I don't remember you being.

Noobs comming in here and trying to play all smartass on everyone here who has been doing it for some time now (3+ years when talking about multiplayer) are really starting to 🤬 me off. Let me ask you, do you know how this works? We don't even have a tree like in real life, don't have drag slicks like in real life, don't have a strip like in real life. GT Drag racing is nothing like real life, it's only what the community made up. PD never planned it to be!

Get your freaking facts straight and get some knowledge about the subject before you try to be a smartass about it because all it does is make you look like a fool.

It's not the nitrous that's killing the game. It's the kids that have to lie about using it, that are killing the game.

If you're going to use it, be straight up about it. Some of us are actually trying to tune against others in the same car. Kinda hard to do that when kids are spraying, and denying that they're doing it.

And comparing GT drag racing to real life drag racing is ridiculous.

While I agree with this, I also disagree with it. The way I see it is if Nitro didn't exist on GT6 in the first place then people wouldn't be tempted to use it, but I do agree with your point as well Nick, but it's not always kids doing it, it's adults too.

They didn't add a drag racing mode in GT6 so I'm not sure what this nonsense is about having a drag "community". The addition of NOS is great, you can use it if you want ofcourse. It helps improve laptimes and was implemented in the GT series before, look at GT4 for example.

Drag racing isn't an official mode in GT and never was, also most of the rooms are filled with immature brats. Look at some of the posts in this very thread...

Soon as I learn to tune,Im going to tune my hotrods w/out any NOS. Then Im gonna go through em all again, and build em all NOS specific gearboxes.Right now, I dont have a single hotrod that I can even touch the NOS on till middle of 3rd gear.3 tuning sheets,Cicuit,Drag,Drag w/NOS.There is nothing to stop anyone from developing a NOS specific tune,or creating their own lobby, with or w/out spray. Ive already been beaten in a same car matchup,I used NOS and he didnt,I still lost! How do you think that made a ole man feel?Destroyed? Crushed? No,the contrary,I got exactly what I was lookin for outta it,I knew that particular car was at the moment, junk. Now it isnt junk anymore. Its a good thing,in its class, same car matchups, otherwise its pointless this NOS.

You know what I like to do?
Join a random Honda lobby, use no NOS on a normal tune, get beet by kids useing NOS wheel spining the whole run, hear their BS, go to pits, add full weight, return, beet all the kids that talk BS with my N2O, and leave the room with a huge smile on my face, rinse repeat.

Edit: I read a comment of how drag racing is not implied and we shouldnt have a sub forum.
The only reason drifting is implied in game is cause its a japaneese cultur made by japenees people, do the math...

I bought the game last week and need to wait for someone to bring it from the US and this will be on the 24th or 25th the latest.

I will open a new thread this week with my Team back up but only two members will start and we will recruit wisely.

Our goal is to learn from our previous experience on GT5 and be better and better every day.

Anyways, here is a link of GT5 ¼ world records..I hope GT6 gets the Test Track up and running because I had way more fun tuning and braking records than all these none sense people hating and talking BS.

Going back to the NOS issue, I really think there is nothing wrong with NOS on GT6, it was hella fun on GT4 and this is making the difference on GT6! Is a new option to go faster, if someone else is using Nitrous, why can you spray too??

See yall soon….

The day I see nitro used in a Le Mans race in real life is the day I die lol. Could you imagine using nitro on Nurburgring in real life, you'd die, not realistic at all, let's get back on the thread topic now.

I didn't mention real life. You'll see this is a game, an arcade game at that. It represents real life in no way whatsoever. Nascar is a joke, the cars sound like vacuum cleaners and some cars have actually been ported from the PS2/PSP.

How is drag realistic in GT? it wasn't even included in the game. It's just a bunch of kids racing at the back of Indy...

I'll put my 2 cents in on this. I plan to tune for n2o and for no spray. BUT, I will NEVER lie about spraying. If you think I'm spraying. You ask me and I'll be honest with it. Once my team comes to light I will enforce this policy strictly.

Once again the war is going to start with those of us who are quite refined tuners that have experience In the field and the noobs (no offense) who are going to come in and criticize the way we have run things since the beginning of gt5. We aren't going to change the way we do things. The new guys who challenge our theory's and the way we have run things need the experience before they can come in and really have a statement that's worth something to us. Basically what I'm saying is that before you want to recommend us something understand why we do what we do. Go back to the GT5 forums and read all the testing and ideals we came up with before, and why we stick to them. Make sense?

I hope I came off sounding the way I had hoped and not offended anyone in any way.

Also, addressing the bashing of the drag community for "immaturity" is quite interesting, being as EVERY RACING MODE has it's crowd of people whom have their mischievous ways. But one should not critique an age group based on this, as I am 15 currently and although I like to have my fun and do stupid things, I see men 2x my age doing things that I see as ludacris such as driving backwards for instance.

I love that Nitrous is back, and i love everyone is using it. If anything it will make the drag racing community bigger simply because not everyone knows how to tune a car for drag.

And i love it when i have that "Too soon junior" moment with someone. Then i hit my nitrous and it's bye bye!

Well in that case, lets all get together and make a strike!!!

GT6, Drag strip, Drag strip and leader board with and without NOS!!!

Come on PD...can you listen to our feedback and take actions? only because you love drift?? come on, don't you know you can make more money by adding a real Drag option on this GAME?????

If you knew anything about the Gran Turismo series then you would know that it was designed to realistic, now while I agree that some things aren't realistic, a lot of things are, if there was a way I'd love to watch someone take a car on Nurburgring using nitro and not crash into a wall. Nitro is just a crutch, it has a .300-.400 difference on the 1/4 mile time of a car, let's say we had a speed test and we knew what any given car ran, now let's give an example, Let's say that the Black Edition in GT6 runs 8.4 without nitro, now add nitro in there, there is no competition for the other guys wanting to run without it because now the Black Edition is as fast as fast as a Bugatti, so then the guy that raced this said person asks if he was using nitro, said guy lies and say no then before you know it there is a huge issue.

Hopefully someone from pd notices just how many Indy drag lobby's are open at any given time and makes the decision to have a official strip and maybe a ingame leaderboard or the option to see what times your friends have ran

Goodluck with that, even in GT5 1/4 of the lobbies were drag racing. So they gave us a dlc 1/4+ test track. We tuned there from practically day 1 of its launch. But god forbid we actually raced there, they are probly sitting there like, we give them a track no one uses online except for breakins/top speed runs, why improve it.
If people want a real strip lets get togeather start a signed request make 10,000 copies made mailit to pd na and see what happens. I bet they would do something when they receive a crap load of letters a day.

Why would someone crash into a wall if they used NOS on Nordschleife? it could be used to gain advantage on the straights.

Regarding GT6 "drags", why would you take part in a type of race that hasn't been implemented properly? it isn't regulated like races and lap times therefore you'd be naive to race a random and expect them not to use NOS. It's there for everyone to use so I don't see what the issue is.

Like most online games, if you want good honest fun it's best to play with a group of friends/forum members who you can trust.

Always expect a bunch of morons in online rooms...

Let's just imagine taking a turn on Nurburgring at 200mph and then using nitro full force, you would spin the tires gain massive acceleration right into a wall or a spin which will eventually lead to flipping over or slamming a wall at a very high rate of speed.

I think you're confusing real life with Need for Speed...

It's GT6's equivalent of illegal street racing. No one supports it and most people look down on it. There is no "scientific" way to say who's the fastest but ask people who actually race and they'll tell you. Get a good host who keeps the room clean and you've got some racing more organized than most of your "officially supported" circuit racing rooms :)

That applies to all rooms, not just drag rooms 👍

Like I said, online rooms. Not online "drag" rooms specifically.

Good luck finding someone doing a turn on the nurb at 200+

You don't blindly use N20 IRL when you want to go faster. It has to be at the right time, going around a turn is NOT that time.
