Not able to access GT7 - PSN issue?

Guys, I hope you’re not just gonna forget and forgive as soon as it’s fixed?

Things need to change in the future. To have a game like GT7 (and many others) not work for close to 24 hours because of some network **** up is not ok.

Also, we need an apology and some form of compensation from both Sony and PD. I hardly play GT7 anymore so I’m not necessarily affected by this latest outage, but anti-consumer game design pisses me off nonetheless.

Meh I'll live.

Dude, it's all unacceptable, my broadband going down because some one hit a box, my banking apps being down because banks...stuff happens when we rely on a few cables and lots of smart people.

Chill out. In the grander scheme of things not being able to make work calls or chats is a bigger issue than I can't play games. We are all frustrated but there won't be answers and this wasn't the worse thing to ever happen.

You do realize that in some countries electricity is available only 2 hrs per day and people cannot sleep because of constant drone and rocket attacks?

If you weren't affected what do you need to be compensated for?

I said we, as in us consumers, but I’m obviously overreacting so nevermind. You’re all good.

Actually, now I wish it was down for another week, or heck another year. I mean, that’s nothing compared to cancer and war after all.

So. There will still be life. I would be concerned for myself if I would be truly affected by it. The only thing that surprise me is inability to play off-line

Yes, maybe if it was down for that long you would have to go outside. It sounds like you need it.
Cool. I got upset by the PSN outage and PD’s design on others’ behalf and now you’re making assumptions about me? I was trying to show empathy to fellow consumers. Sorry, my bad, won’t happen again.

All back on-line here in Poland. Couple of thoughts:
1. All digital world is inevitable, but a prison (not talking gaming). Think about no physical money, etc
2. Sony downplaying it is typical for Corporate Communication. I am changing my password and credit card
3. Rage of gamers is weird. People not able to play games for 24 hrs. And? I hope people realize it is just games…

The only grue I have is with singleplayer games requiring an internet connection.
Fortunatly, that is almost exclusively the case for the well known money grabber studios while the lower budget games are running just fine.

This is one striking point there, and it is not a very recent one.
It only seems there currently is no bad actor having any sort of benefit of causing a wide outage vs having it seemingly run fine but being on the backends.
I mean an outage is something that will cause awareness, whereass silently funneling small amounts of info or wire some cash into other accounts will not be observed pretty easily.

A good move from Sony for once. All PS Plus subscribers will get 5 days extra of their subscription.
For a downtime not even lasting 24 hours - cool.
Yep, that's something. But what about people who do not have PS+ ?

Why ? PD is not responsible for the outage and it affected all players, not only those who play GT.
Sure does, like for example the afforementioned
singleplayer games requiring an internet connection.
Or in case a player is on a console that is not his accounts primary console.

I was already quite surprised about the 5 days PS+ anyway, I didnt expect any kind of goodwill gesture at all.
