I would have liked your post, but I wasn't on the train. Mind putting a photo of me on the front of that train if I send you one?

Bevause I would like to be officially on the hype train. :D
I don't have much to work with for a graphics program nor am I very knowledgeable but I can try. Or someone else can...

I have absolutely no doubt that an update is coming alongside this maintenance. The Alpine VGT is set for this month, we've seen it in action, so it's logical (to me) to believe that this maintenance period will be used to add it in. The real question is what else is coming with it - there's always bug fixes in every update, but there's chances for other physical content as well. *Edit: Or, there could be absolutely nothing extra. We'll see what happens.

There was some mystery track lurking in the background of the preview video, and that could potentially be something added in with it. It also might not - it could just be scenery specific to the trailer, or it could be held back for another update or game, similar to how Seattle and a couple other tracks were treated with the NSX trailer.

The Lexus is also set for an unknown Spring date, and it too appears to be fully modeled and functioning in-game, so it could also show up, but again, maybe not, because Spring could mean anywhere from March to early June. Then there's the Bertone leaks; right now it's still kind of under debate if they're legit or not, but there's been some surprise and quick tease-to-launch VGT's in the past, namely the BMW and Mitsubishi, but the Mini was pretty quick to the draw, considering it revealed and launched well after two others had been in circulation for a couple months. So Bertone is a potential as well.

Then, there's the Course Maker - it's really impossible to know when it's coming, but if @Whistle Snap is 100% certain that there was new code added recently, then I'd say that the thing is still coming. And since it's physically in the code, that would lead me to believe it's coming soon - and not the PD definition of soon, the human definition as soon - as in, no-more-than-amonth-or-two soon.

The point of discussion here is whether or not new content is coming, and I'm 100% certain that it is, but what with the way B-Spec was handled, The only question I have is if it'll be any good.

PD have been drip feeding information relating to updates in the Pitstop blog recently. We shouldn't expect any new content other than what we've seen either there or on gran-turismo.com tomorrow.

Besides we only get missing features every two months so the next update is a fair way off.

Is this train coming or going?
Because if it's coming I don't think it can see where it is going.

Here is what is coming:

#We will receive a Bobette, and if we get Bob to do the right Sim moves (Greet/Chat/Joke/Flirt/Serve Dinner/Use Neckties/Make Whoopie) we will make Baby Bobs that we can then use to ace GT Academy.

#A permanent Seasonal will be available at the Ring where we can alter the PP so we can use various cars.

#B-Spec Champioship bug will be fixed so that if you do not suspend you will receive 10M and your choice of a 20M prize car

#All online problems will be permanently fixed, and trolls will be automatically eliminated via a Smellovision sensor. You will have to purchase the new Smellovision TVs from Sony.

#Sounds will be improved so much that neighbors will visit just to hear you race.

#Camber will be thought-controlled and can be adjusted on the fly.

#Free download of GT6 will be offered if you can prove you are a die-hard Forza fan.

#Three VGTs will be available - all you have to do is start a lap - you do not have to complete the lap.

#The PP of the 2J will be reduced to 365 PP.

#Free Roam will be available at all Kart tracks if you use the Midget.

#You can now spank the monkey at Trial Mountain.

#Jenkins will be back - with more fur.

#There will be no mention of Course Creator.

#The download will take only five minutes during which time Greensleeves will play for your listening enjoyment.

#Passport size photos of Translator-san will be mailed to everybody who doesn't do the download but has the previous download.

There is lots more on this very heavy download (132 GB), but my lips have been sealed by Sony executives under threat of my PSN being blown up, so this is all I can divulge for the moment.
Still no livery editor? Whatevs PD.

No update, it'll just fix the horrific servers of the past week.
I'd rather this. Don't update GT6 and focus on fixing the servers. It's next to impossible now to host a room without at least 5 people DC'ing in a room of 16.

I want that Lexus.

But I just hope they're fixing the online stability :( it's been shocking.
I'm hoping that too, and you know why. ;) :P

Well they did say that the Alpine was coming in March so I would say there is a good chance of that and possibly some bug fixes. I don;t really expect anything else at this point.

Course maker is the most awaited feature. I expect that Podi announced his arrival on blog or on official site.

And as we speak, there is nothing ;)
B-Spec wasn't the most anticipated feature yet it still got an article detailing it's upcoming release, on the day of the update. (Before the update actually happened, may I add for those with bad memories :)👍 )

PD are quite unpredictable about this. Then can announce things very early or just the day they release them.
The Red Bull Ring is another example, huge surprise for all of us as they announced it right away with the release of the update.

Come on pd release at least one pic of course maker on your blog so we can get excited:D

But seriously though like I said i would be fine with 2 VGT cars and a lot of bug fixes.

Haven't painted a single wing yet, not done the Senna events yet, can't remember if I ever drove the TS030.
Guess to each their own - I did pay full price for my copy - and I've enjoyed a ton of stuff in the game.

The only problem I see with forced, free DLC is that it takes up HD space. And can cause unwanted glitches.
And, of course . . . to be fair, yes, PD should have given those who looked forward to the Course Maker what was promised.
I must have used Course Maker for about ten minutes in GT5 - but I don't grudge those who love it having it.
