Fair enough mate you are the event organiser 👍 I do like it, just not as much as some of the others :) As we are talking street circuits - Rome is one of my favourites.

Tiers sound good... 12 races sound good too and I don't care much about finishing after Christmas. However I don't think those 12 races should have exactly the same tracks as we raced now... The more variety the better, no? Many of us who raced the NSX championship will race the new one too (I suppose?), so many "new" tracks would be nice I think. I was surprised that Fuji speedway wasn't included in the NSX championship, with the big run off areas, long straights followed by hairpins etc. it is a perfect environment for online GT5 racing. It would be cool if the changing weather is applied on at least of few of the tracks where possible. Creating a GTRC track for 1vs1 etc. sounds cool I think. How about a 2 week break before season 2?

Good thing that you are firm about Monaco Steg. That is a loooovely track, isn't it... at least I like it, always have

Yeah mate have had many "debates" with folk online about Monaco

I just picked my favourite tracks for the first series as I had to have all the information up before having any races, I did toy with Fuji however and I reckon it should be on the list for season 2.

1.Monaco
2.Nurburgring GP/F
3.Nordschliefe
4.Tokyo
5.Monza
6.Grand Valley
7.Trial Mountain
8.Fuji
9.Eiger
10.La Sarthe
11.Laguna Seca
12.Suzuka

Is 4 new tracks enough or would you like to see more of last years replaced, I tend to sway towards the real circuits but would happily scrap a couple more if you want..

I am aiming for the start date to be October 19th if that is cool with you guys.

Cool, We will use at least 2 tracks probably more with change weather and will most likely start one in the rain to make sure we get some :)

First snap of my TVR but this photo is not good enough for the Championship page :(

Just out of curiosity is it because I'm from the UK that my car has the union jack on it or is it the same for all nations, would be awesome if it changed but I doubt it.

Like Toffe, I could stand to race on some different tracks for next season. How about another American track (or 2) seeing as we have quite a few racing in this seasons championship. Was thinking of either - Road Course - Indy or Road Course - Daytona. Track I would drop - either Nurb GP/F or Tokyo (love both tracks but some of the others are essential IMO)

BTW great shot of the TVR

I would sway towards dropping Tokyo over the Nurb GP/F however..

We could drop GP/F and Nordschliefe and use the 24hr circuit instead ?

Would give us another time/weather change option..

This sounds like a good suggestion in my ears (I'm not a big fan of GP/F either...). Ahh... *Toffe imagines Nürburgring 24H + heavy rain + night racing + TVRs with no TCS = some really severe difficulty level :embarrassed: * Just kidding... :sly: (I don't think night racing is a good idea) Using Nürburgring 24H would also give room for one American track like jonszter suggester.

About the TVR, I don't think the flag changes but I can check it tomorrow. (And by the way... is it really smart to have Monaco as the first race...? People probably wont know the car as well as later in the championship.. might get messy)

Lol Monaco will be near the end, that was just a list mate the order will change ;)

Been doing a long practice race with Barn & Sic there, Soft tyres are too easy!!

We will qualify and do the first stint on the hard compound, Medium will be the Max allowed.

I'm also swaying back towards heavy damage to add more excitement & make things more unpredictable but again if there are too many objections we can change :)

jonzster
Green team are the team champions :) they were 1st and 2nd. Well done Barn & Toffe :)

strong result....

Well played everyone...looking forward to the TVR champs..

Here's my race report, gonna write it now as I have it fresh in mind.

I started 2nd on the grid, surprisingly. Got an okay start and began chasing Sicwhitt and Barn. I took it very careful... I have been sort of scared of Nordschleife because even though I have driven many laps on it, I'm still more prone to mistakes here than on other tracks so I stayed third for the moment and did not make any serious attempt to pass.

Barn and Sicwhitt got close to each other just before Klostertal and I passed Barn. Sicwhitt made a small mistake in the Karusell and I went to first and I began pushing hard to create a gap, building up about a 5 second lead. (Now I realize that I, in my usual fashion, pushed the tyres too hard during this time in the race...). In fact I projected we would race 6 laps so therefore I had planned a one-stop strategy, but had to change my plans, because 5 laps is just about manageable in one stint.

Later I did a small mistake in Hatzenbach, Barn caught up, but I was still in the lead. The tyres were dirty however and I made an other little mistake soon after and Barn could pass me. Barn got a 4-5 second lead. I saw that jonzster was now 3rd, I was a little scared that he would catch me but it seemed the distance actually increased.

Barn was on fire. :) I tried to close the gap, especially on the last lap. I dared to push a little harder now that the 2nd place seemed to be relatively secure. I managed to decrease the gap to 1.7 seconds when we finished, but to be honest I'm not sure if I would have managed to pass him, it still felt like he was faster Pushing as hard as I did with the worn tyres I would probably have made an other small mistake quite soon anyway. This was Barn's race. Well done, you deserved it mate 👍 Even if I did not win, I'm happy for Barn and it feels really nice that Green Team got a 1-2 finish  Green Team owned the Green hell today hehe.

And above all, if I'm not wrong:

THE GREEN TEAM IS THE TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP WINNER!!! GO GREEN TEAM!:)

As i said in the room after the race, i had already had a long warm up race earlier that day.
I was still in the zone from it.
To be honest, i never thought i'd be anywhere near that podium, not even third.
Lot of drivers in here better than me (except R35)
I was worried about four drivers for this whole race, Jonzster, sebastiangurka,SICWHITT, and GTP_Toffe.

In my eyes and on this track i was expecting to have to try running them down, not keeping them away heh.
At the start, i had settled into my endurance race pace and just followed SIC.
Then i looked back and saw my team mate behind me.
I actually had a smile on my face at that.
Toffe was looking for his spot to pass but sic was pushing hard with me just tagging along.
About the middle of lap two in the carrussel, sic made a mistake and Toffe passed him with me right beside,(that'll make for a great replay shot too).
Around lap 3 Toffe messed up a few small times and i passed him.
It was about that time i realized i was running out of tire faster than i had thought.
I was pushing harder than i normally do, trying to increase the pace and distance.
At times when i looked back i saw sebastian, sicwhitt,Toffe, and jonzster.
I kept thinking (no pressure, no pressure heh)
I had very little tire on lap 5 and was burning through it like a starving man on a roast chicken.
On the final last half i had a 5.6ish second lead and noticed it was burning off too.

I was actually thinking that was when i'd get passed as i had little grip left, going down the straight, i looked back and a bit behind me was Toffe.
I managed to hold my line and drifted the final turn(literally) and took my only league win but damn it felt good to get it there.(i put enough time in there sheesh)

I want to thank all you guys (except R35 who has no true race craft besides being fast) who introduced me to league racing.
It was a blast, even during the frustrated moments.
Enjoy your second season and race on drivers.

Wtf? No need for that at all barn just sounds like your being bitter? I don't see what your problem is with me as i have not said or done anything to offend you and you should just grow up instead of taking little cheap shots at me like that

Cheers for the great reports lads & thanks for a great season 👍

Barn mate, what a win! As you say there are some top racers here and you have just cemented your place with the very fastest. It takes something special to win at Nordschliefe, congratulations mate.

Barn & Toffe, you two fully deserve to win the team championship.
Week after week you showed up and put in one strong performance after another.
Ending with a 1,2 at the green hell is no easy task 👍
Congratulations lads;)

Jonzster, what more to say, you are the man!
You looked like a class above most of us, and everyone here is a good racer.
Your strangle hold on Quali and the table reminded me of Vettel :)
Not only on track, your replays were a superb addition to the series and I can't thank you enough for putting in the hours to make them.
We really couldn't of asked for a better Champion!
Next year there will be a challenge with everyone stepping up their game to get close to the bar you set this year.
You should have a bullseye on your car mate because everyone is now coming for you

Great reading your race reports lads, very entertaining reads :)
Steg many thanks for the kind words again and for all your hard work in hosting a truly great championship 👍

Well the race taught me one thing and that is not to become complacement otherwise your butt gets handed to you big time  I'll just have to step up my game for next season :) you guys aren't messing around

Yeah I was miles off the pace on this one and landed 7th in qually.
In the end I managed a 3rd place in what turned out to be a race of attrition as the armco claimed it's fair share of victims 👎
Barn & Toffe were on another planet. I got close to them breifly at Hatzenbach were Toffe made his small mistake, almost followed Barn through past Toffe but he recovered just in time and then they both disappeared into the distance
Although I never really felt I had the car under me ( the Karusell was a nightmare) I enjoyed the race. Had a blast racing with everyone, looking forward to next season 👍

Just had a thought, Barn qualified behind me, he must have taken the coveted Spirit of GTRC Award. Race win, Team Championship, 26 PTS, not a bad way to close out the season 👍

Barn & Toffe were top notch, 👍
makes me even more sad only half the team will be on the grid for the TVR Series :(

Yeah.. it would have been great to have Barn in the TVR championship... But what a finish! Talk about ending the championship on a high! :)

Wow, you're right, you were close there, you were much closer there than I first thought :dunce:. I was so focused on regaining grip and chasing Barn that I didn't notice you were behind me until a few corners later, because before the mistake I just focused on Barn (which was then in 2nd) and the gap I had to him. Perhaps this was a good thing, if I would have noticed you were that close I would have gotten much more nervous :nervous: and begun looking back all the time and maybe I would have done another mistake.

I spent time setting the car for the Karusell as you were talking about. When I practiced, it was incredibly hard to take that corner fast without spinning off, it was my obvious Achilles heal so I went for a high ride height (around +20 both front and rear) and settings the dampers and springs quite hard. That made it possible to take it at about 80-90kph (about 50+ mph) securely. I never dared to go higher than that in the race, way too much risk.

Then i looked back and saw my team mate behind me.
I actually had a smile on my face at that.
:) I forgot I made a small mistake in the first lap too, where you and Sicwhitt passed me. After I recovered and noticed you were in 2nd, I also had a smile on my face, I knew this could turn out really good, maybe a 1-2 finish, because you rarely make any big mistakes (if any at all) and this race was no different 👍
