Why the whack start times? If you start on 00 20 etc you will get more racers, maybe not GTP'ers but they will be racers nonetheless.

You gave the answer: I would like to have mostly clean racers from GTP, and i have already 4 guys who will be there at these times.

The single file rolling starts really hurt the racing at HSR and Daytona. If you start 7th your 6.5 seconds behind the leader when you get the green flag.

Maybe there is a way we can organize double file starts? Maybe make lap 1 a warmup lap to let all the GTP members get into double file, then have the start be based on...well im working on that.

I agree with you. Starting from zero from the 2nd lap all together on the grid at a precise time.. that has to be determine.

Use lap 1 to get grouped up, in the tunnel pulling to the left works fine. On the main straight, get in double file at a pre-determined speed. Cross the line, go. You don't have too much time to wander around going slowly and still prevent being timed out. Leader (pole guy) should hold the speed (whatever it is decided) from before the end of the final curve to allow all behind to get sorted out.

I did starts just like this in 'CLASS' races (hosted by thundurclese) a few months ago at HSR when it was a 600pp AWD race. Worked fine on the second try with a group of 7.

There are alot of clean racers besides GTP'ers... alot. Hate to burst your bubble. Hope your 4 person grids are entertaing. Its only 5 laps right? Every 1 should wait on 1st lap with a standing start. (thats 20percent more racng)

I know there is a lot of clean racers besides GTP'ers. I was also in a way to be sure my friends (not the GTP'ers) will have a chance to be in the same grid than me...

As I said, determining a standing start, going back on the grid just after the rolling start. That what we did when we did our ''lan parties'' on GT4. And having a start minimum 2 minutes after the start, when the counter is marking xx:00:00...

By the way, we were 3 or 4 on the 5 races we did and IT WAS GREAT (only Integras, with the same set up). I love monotype races, with cars side by side and clean drivers.

Who's ready for the same formula next thrusday night (every 12 minutes) starting 7:03PM ?

I tried to join last night but wasn't able to until 10:03 EST. It definitely sounded fun, especially the re-grouped starting grid. Unfortunetly, I never got a single match after that, the place was deserted. By 11:30 there was not a single "activity icon" in front of any Expert events.

If you are going to run the next event longer into the evening, I would be happy to join :)

I did the same thing ANFD, I matched at 10 43 and was unsucessful. So I opted to beat some of rmk-700's TT times instead. Upto 2nd on HSR forward and reverse and got 4th at Daytona road, and then I got my 6th place spot back at Fuji GT.
