16 is great. but 20 is perfect for all racing.

4 lmp1 6 lmp2 10 gt 1
20 nascars would be the perfect size. not to big not to small. honestly at 43 your just wasting your time with more cars it wont change the game play unless you loose the draft, then have to just fight your way back for 40 laps rather 20 laps

i really feel 20 cars would be perfect

20 cars is fine for me.

But: more cars, more laps to win. Plotting i.e. 12 cars at Tsukuba, with you in 12th and 1/2 laps to go isnt very fun.

For nurb 32 cars exceptionally. Me and other 31 GTPlanet pals into nice online racing.

I hope they let PAL and NTSC user compete to each other. I've seen a lot of good driver from Europe and a lot of them are very competitive, but then there's still and always punters around, so yeah private race is the way to go. AND I HOPE THEY REMOVE THE PP SYSTEM! It's killing GT! Come on a stock California smoking a tuned Viper! LOL.

for me i would hate to see 20 cars or more if its been added at the cost of weather/damage or other large effects.

i would rather race against 3 other cars and have all the features then more and go without what are to me essential features.

OH I AGREE. i only would want 20 if all of that is also added if all that means 16 cars only. ill take 16, but if 20 is possible i would have no reason to even think of gt6

Hey Everybody, It's My 1st Post!

I think that 16-20 is perfect for GT5 normal street course racing, but NASCAR should have all 43 if they can pull it off. I mean in NASCAR everybody does the same thing anyways, unlike street races. So the AI dosen't have to be that advanced. Me, personally loving NASCAR feel this is essential to NASCAR racing, i remember old EA games where they only has 20 cars, it felt so uncomplete.

My first too!

I think that they should be able to pull off 43 in Nascar. The bodies are much less complex, especially with no headlights, so they presumably use fewer polys. And I do think that GT5P does better on Blu-ray, because I've never had a problem with freezing either. And GT5 is gonna be only on Blu-ray. If EA can put 43 cars which look decent on a track using a DVD and a 360, PD can do it with BD and a PS3.

I've raced with french, german, japanese and canadien in Suzuka, at the same time. I dont get your point on PAL and NTSC.. isnt this already globalized at all with the new television standards?

I actually expect less than 16 in the end, with weather and damage apparently coming, I think its pushing it even with 16 - I haven't had a 16 player race online in Prologue for a long time either, they capped them at 12 most of the time. The few 12+ player races I did manage to have were quite laggy and I'm wondering whether we will just see 12 cars in races for GT5.
Also considering GT4 was a slight step down from GT4P, I'm guessing the same here, either the graphics or the number of cars is going to be reduced from Prologue.

Hopefully with the WRC license though we can have some actual rallies in stages rather than 1v1, therefore allowing more AI and more players in one event, at least for rallying or point to point time trials.
