That's a win for Newcastle, with two quality goals from Cisse, especially the second one. Chelsea must be looking ahead to the weekend. Tottenham back to winning ways too, though it's a bit late for a change of form

Shocking result for Chelsea, if they want to be in the Champions League next season it looks like they'l have to do it the hard away.
Not at all too late for Tottenham though, they can still get a champions league spot.

Also did anyone hear about Delio Rossi being sacked ? 19th managerial change in Serie A this season, and they complain about the Premier League being too unforgiving.

I wish I had found this earlier in the season, but Yahoo! have excellent highlights of the Premier League - great quality and decent length, and, more importantly, legal too.

Cisse's two goals against Chelsea are worth watching, particularly the second goal, which was incredible

Wonderful. Absolutely unbelievable. The bend, the dip, the power. He meant it.

In. Credible.

Why is Chelsea hated by everyone outside of Stamford bridge? Everyone I talked to that follows the EPL says its a team for the rich folk.

Cisse's second goal for those who have not seen it:
*snip*

Wow. What a player we have there.
All I can say is what. a. goal. Absolutely incredible. This week has to be one of the best for goals because his other one was fabulous as well.

So thats obviously a contender for goal of the season..but what are the others?..id say, crouch v man city, suarez v norwich, ben arfa v stoke and van persie v liverpool

what do you think? are there any others?

Andrew, Lord Morrell of Wrexhamshire vs. Brighton Link

Oh, we're just talking Premier League. Anything by Clint Dempsey is automatically wonderful.

I see your Wrexham and raise you an Oxford

Premier league - Tim Howard vs Bolton

In related news ... Rooney's overhead kick against Man City last year wins public vote for best goal in the Premier Leagues 20 year history. Sure some people maybe rather miffed at that choice ...

The Premier League must have some pretty boring goals if an overhead kick is voted as the best goal in its history...

...or some crappy judges.

It was way too predictable. Every goal on the list of 10 to vote for was better.

Rooney's won because of how many man utd fans there were voting for it.

Trevor Sinclair's overhead was better than Rooney's.

Rooney had a truck load of space, wheras Sinclair had a man behind him but still managed to extend all the way up and meet the ball superbly. From just outside the box, too. Amazing.

And Le Tiss' goal against Newcastle is the best Premiership/League goal ever.

Rooney's almost came of his bell end so can't even be considered great.

This is the one for me.

The way he lifted it over/round the players was sublime, but he scuffed it in at the end.

I prefer to say that he fooled the keeper with a 'deceptive' shot.

Still the greatest in the Premier League. And Sinclair's overhead is right up there in the GOAT goals. However, after watching it several times, Cisse's goal against Chelsea is now in the top five. Without a doubt. He used the outside of his boot to hit an outswinging shot from the left, which is amazing in itself, and it looped over Cech, who wasn't even off his line across the far side of the goal.

It is... incredible.

But Le Tissier, seriously. That hattrick against Newcastle. The first one is sensational, but he makes the second one look effortless. About 30 seconds in. The turn and swivel. England missed out by not having him as a regular.

I voted for Dennis Bergkamp's goal against Newcastle, which came in 2nd behind Rooney's goal.

Bergkamp was on another level. Used his left foot to send the ball to his right around the defender. He made the Newcastle defence look invisible.

that le tissier vid is unbelievable!!! how many england caps did he win again?? :boggled:

thats ridiculious!! and to think that the likes of heskey ans vassell got more!!:ouch:

Nobody commenting how lucky and undeserving Chelsea are ? :odd:

Not bad for an FA cup final. Probably didn't really deserve it, but I'm chuffed Chelsea won :D. Now we wait for the Champions League final :nervous:

Also if anyone other than Rooney had scored that, it wouldn't have been the best goal of the last 20 years. Typical Rooney goal really, complete spoof and from a few yards out and the press cream themselves.

Why? Chelsea were better. Liverpool performed better in the second half, but Chelsea, crucially, started better and made Liverpool pay.

Top save from Cech. If Carroll hadn't ran away thinking he'd scored, he probably could have lashed home the rebound.

To be honest I think that "that" shot was a goal. Liverpool pretty much outplayed Chelsea in the second half. Chelsea were better in the first half, slightly.
