Blackburn are down and it's just what their dodgy looking owners deserve, their fans however didn't deserve this. There is no way Blackburn will be back anytime soon either and it wouldn't surprise me at all if they go the way of Portsmouth.

I remember when Venky's first took over they said something like, "We want to finish in the top 4 so we don't get relegated each season". From that day on I have hated them and I'm somewhat glad they are failing catastrophically. On the other hand, Blackburn were a great club and it's a shame they've been lumped with the monstrosity that is Venky's. I feel most for the fans that go to Ewood Park week in, week out and had no say in this.

Steve Kean deserves nowhere near the amount of abuse targeted towards him. Fully Venky's fault for appointing a rookie manager. You'd have to be nuts to want his job now though.

Rather redundant game now for Chelsea tonight after losing to Newcastle and killing off any real hope of a top 4 finish.

So we all took notice of the chicken on the pitch last night, but what about the eleven donkeys?

What the cluck with all these jokes, don;t make it worse, i'm in a fowl mood already...

Considering Chelsea are still in with a shout of a Champions League slot for finishing in the top 4 of the EPL, they've practically fielded a B-team against Liverpool tonight - No Cech or Drogba (neither are in the squad tonight!), Cole, Lampard and Mata on the bench, Romeu, Turnbull, Bertrand and Torres start

What on Earth was Di Matteo thinking playing this bunch? 3-0 down already...

They now must beat Bayern Munich at home in order to qualify for the Champions League...

They'd be better off with a couple signposts in kit right now then they are with JT and Ivan(ovic)the the Terrible! At least the signs wouldn't move about and leave terrible gaps!
Credit to L'pool, they've been fairly clinical with the chances they've gotten.

Good call there. Ivanovic has been awful, but that elbow to concede the penalty was ridiculous. Should be 4-0 atleast. What is Di Matteo thinking? They can now kiss goodbye to Champions League football next year.

Haha what a game! Liverpool vs Chelski will be a great Europa League quarter-final next year! :P (You heard it hear first!) Great to see all the players' kids out as well for the victory end of season/farewell lap of the ground 👍

Misunderstood this at first.

Read it 5 times before it made any sense to me..

THEN I figured out who took a leak and who got sacked. :dopey:

So Cardiff are changing their kit to red, and incorporating 'the Dragons' into their badge and nickname.

Pretty sure there's already a Welsh club which does that....

Wrexham Football Club

Nicknames: the Town, the Dragons

Kit:

Where did you find that out?

Not source, but here's some news about it anyway

It's all over the message boards. Of course, nothing is official yet, as they might only change the nickname and badge.

It's been talked about on Radio Wales and not once has a comparison with Wrexham been brought up. I'm sort of indifferent to it, but as a Wrexham fan if this man wanted to pump £100 million into a Welsh club and have it called the Dragons and play in red, why not buy the pre-prepared football club...?

If only.

They are not anymore after the fans' complaints. They are now looking for other investors so I guess their finances are not in a good shape.

Read the thread title before you post, silly ;)

Heh, well I see this as more of a general thread...

Speaking of which, spare a thought for the victims of the Bradford City fire. 27 years ago today, 56 fans lost their lives. Fortunately, this particular stand did not have the fencing in front of it. Had it had one, the death toll could have been in the thousands.

so argubley the best ever premier league season comes to an end today then..got any predictions anyone??

GOAL at the Stadium of Light.

As it stands, it's going to United.

Man City just need one goal to seal the title...

What. What, what, WHAT?!?!

Fantastic finish to the season. 20 minutes left...

City 2-1 down. United 0-1 up.

Advantage Ferguson.

QPR down to ten. Barton likely to recieve a Assualt charge.
