The 'Super Sunday' delivered, so much drama (1st half of City - Spurs aside). Spurs were desperately unlucky to lose, credit to them for recovering from 2-goal lead, they could have won it, if Defoe tapped in from Bale's cross in stoppage time. How narrow are margins between success and failure? Spurs players and fans will probably feel angry at referee for letting Balotelli stay on the pitch, and after seeing replays (of poor quality, to be fair) I'd agree with them, Balotelli should have been sent off for stamping on Parker.
Arsenal - United was maybe not as thrilling for the neutral, but still very intriguing, thought we (United) played well. Back four solid (special mentions to Smalling and Evra, both immense). Midfield did okay, wingers were excellent, although Nani could have made better decision a couple of times. Welbeck was great, showed the passion, made effort, you could see how much he cares. Not a classic performance by Rooney, but he was decent.
Early contender for 'Worst substitution of the year' - I don't know why was Oxlade-Chamberlain replaced with Arshavin, he didn't even make an effort. Arsenal's lack of full-backs taking their toll, with both goals coming from wings.
The biggest negative for United are probably injuries; Jones will be out for a 'couple of weeks', Nani, Evra and Rooney all picking up knocks
