Very much like when they signed Neil Taylor, Swansea are close to sealing a move for a Wrexham full-back. This time it's Curtis Obeng, Wrexham's right full-back. This is not what I want to happen. Wait until the end of the season, at least... But considering how well Taylor has done, I wish him well if, probably when, he leaves the club.

Jelavic -> Everton.
Bradley Orr -> Blackburn.

Even the BBC vidiprinter is saying this has been a slow one. Two hours remain..

Update: Confirmed signing. ~£200,000 fee

Anxiously waiting the Chelsea-Man. U. Game here in America. Its supposed to be "Semi-Live" whatever the hell that means...

Really boring winter transfer season for me!! I was expecting some big moves from big clubs but it seems only small splashes happened. I'm guessing that all the EPL teams (and other big clubs in big leagues) didn't want to splash big money due to the Fernando Torres Syndrome, as I like to call it. Break transfer records for a player who simply doesn't prove anywhere near the fee. Tevez I thought was sure to leave Man City and now he's left to spend the remainder of the season on the B/reserve side not playing at all. I knew he wouldn't be sold for what Man City wanted when I was hearing that AC Milan and Inter Milan were in talks. Maybe to PSG but I doubt they wanted to pay top dollar for him. Man City need to cut their losses in the summer and let this cancer of a player leave the club.

My FC Porto I think made the biggest moves overall. Freddy Guarin to Inter on loan w/option to buy (and I just read his medical showed a calf problem holding him out for 3-4 weeks! lol), Belushi to Genoa on loan, Porto club legend Lucho Gonzalez left Marseilles to come back to us!! Jorge Fucile was loaned to Santos (there was an issue with Danillo coming to Porto I'm assuming is why Fucile went the other way on loan). And we signed Mark Jenko from FC Twente because we have a striker issue (we also dumped Walter because he's fat and lazy). My Porto had such an epic year last year and we barely lost anyone during the summer. Team's not playing top flight like they should and moves are being made. Surprised our big star Hulk didn't go anywhere yet but be on the lookout in the summer because everyone wants him, from Man City and Chelsea to Arsenal and Barcelona even!!

Cisse might just be an excellent signing on QPR, having scored on debut, along with Taiwo and Zamora, shrewd investments by Hughes in the break. Still can't see why Milan let Taiwo go, seems insane to me.

Sunderland are a changed team with Martin O'Neill in charge and with Newcastle continuing to get results, the North East should be happy.

He wasn't really playing much and he's on loan now to QPR. Plus from what I've read he didn't seem to care to learn the language, something you don't really do especially at Milan.

That would explain a fair amount, if he didnt want to learn Italian, silly move. On the theme of today's games, Wenger once again substitutes Oxlade-Chamberlein for Henry instead of getting rid of Walcott, madness. Good comeback by Villa, and a continue of the impressive of Sunderland under o'Neil, putting together a serious run under his management, done wonders for their league position

Taiwo was originally supposed to go to my arch rival team, SL Benfica of Lisbon; apparently even confirmed he'd be going only to pull out last minute and head off to Milan. The rest is history. Personally if you go work/play in a country, by default, learn a bit of the language!!! I understood he didn't bother the entire time he was there but his game is more suited to EPL style.

I just noticed that Man City lost to Everton yesterday and Man U won putting both clubs even on points. Wasn't Man City's points lead a good amount before the winter break? Sheesh! Looks like Man City could very well NOT win the title!!

It's an interesting situation.

Manchester City: Better squad, worse tactics/team chemistry
Manchester United: Worse squad, better tactics/team chemistry

Nice win today, although they did get lucky not to concede. Fraizer Campbell is back!! What a brilliant strike, and a fine header by Sessegnon.

Newcastle up to 5th, what is this witchcraft? This season has been unbelievable so far, here's hoping we can soldier on and maybe even get European football next season, obviously not champions league(I'm not that much of an optimist) but UEFA cup looks doable at this rate. Both Demba's are back for the villa game on sunday too, can't wait to see them together.

I don't know, Hatcha. This is a great year in the PL, anything goes. Chelsea looked utterly unmotivated against Swansea. I can see them dropping lower.

Sunderland to beat Stoke and Arsenal and start knocking at the Toon's door. :embarrassed:

Maybe, though come the end of the season I can't not see Chelsea getting CL football, if they do finish in top 4 and Andres keeps his job I'm looking forward to see who he brings in and even lets go for that matter.

Sounds like Stoke is all over you guys right now but it sounds like long ball heaven from Stoke. Woaaah, Stoke down to 10 men as I type :embarrassed:

Arsenal 7-1 today, love Chamberlain can't wait to see him in an senior England shirt.

Fixed.

Whalloping Blackburn 7-1 doesn't prove anything for Arsenal. They're in trouble and one result against a basement side doesn't disprove anything.

Didn't say it did, just showing my love for Chamberlain. And yeah, from an Arsenals fan point of view no champions league is unheard of, so thats definitely 'in trouble'. Though the win today puts them up to 5th, right? so If we get beat tomorrow thats where they'll stay, then everyone will forget about the 4 points out of 12.

It's not just that though, their squad needs tweaking. If they 'only just' get CL qualification, then things are badly wrong at Arsenal. Badly. They shouldn't have been in that situation in the first place.

AOC is a good player. Walcott is dire. Chamakh, Gervinho.. not much cop. He's good in the dressing room but we have to be honest; Arsenal are struggling if they're bringing Thierry Henry back on loan when he's well into the twilight of his career.

Does anyone really know the true financial situation at Arsenal though? Everyone keeps going on about Wenger being reluctant to spend big cash, but is it really available... With what he's got in front of him right now, I think he's doing, ok. Though they should have been taking more points than they have this year with the fixtures they've had. Though back to squad thing, you're implying Arsenal, the size of them, should always be pushing for top honours, right? But with the financial muscle some teams have now that's going to be near impossible unless you're called spurs.

They increased season ticket prices by 6%.

Arsenal have money. Do you think Henry's loan was a freebie? They spent X amount on Gervinho, too. They don't have as much as Spurs, true, but they have had enough money in the past to buy better players.

Arsenal should be well inside the top four each season, going by 'reputation'. But this is a stark realisation that the tide is turning, I think.

Arsenal have a good squad, but they also dealt with a lot of injuries. Then you have the fact that Wenger always seems to favor using players who are struggling.

Newcastle did well today with Cisse and Ba. I reckon Cisse will be a player to watch in the summer transfer window.

And what a game that was. Chelsea played very, very well. But despite their rubbish, dire, awful first 60 minutes, United did well to come back.

De Gea was not at fault for any of the goals, and didn't make many major mistakes but he kept United in it with a top, top save from Mata's free kick.

As a United supporter, that was very tense all game. What a save from Mata's free kick though. Considering Rooney's awful penalty record he did very well there

Krul with another fantastic game.

And De Gea's save from that free kick, jesus, I was already on my feet convinced it was in. Disappointed Chelsea didn't take all 3 points since I hate Manchester with a passion, shouldn't be drawing games when you were 3-0 up for god sake.

Just as well your not an Arsenal fan then, it's a year today since they conceded 4 goals at Newcastle after going 4-0 up and drew 4-4. That's bad

Good result for Liverpool today. Just hope we can manage to sort Spurs out tomorrow.
