When the community requested that PD communicate more with the fanbase, it was with regard to Gran Turismo & all it's problems/issues.

@EXP - I don't care what you packed in your bag, & I don't care what colour the GTR was. What I care about is GT being improved with common sense options that you people seem to be oblivious too. For instance: why is a beginners aid (SRF) forced upon all GT players even though many of them are not beginners?

That's right. And the worse part, it's blue!!! AHHHHHH!!!!!!!
eheheh they got GTR Blues :dopey:

Oh look, ISF CCS-R and the NEW IMPREZA!

Here's something to help you guys out: If the article is not written by Kaz (The one that actually wrote those sound articles), Just See The Images. If it is written by Kaz, its worth reading.
Fixed.

But what happened when Kaz started to talk about N24 and GTR as well?

Reminder: EXP is just a Japanese gamer. He is NOT working for PD. He was just invited by Kaz to seeing N24, and keeping diary during it.

And that's exactly why he shouldn't be on the blog.
In fact, none of this N24 stuff should be on the blog, as it is a GT blog. Anything not directly related to GT shouldn't be there. Let them post this on their personal blogs or something, and keep the GT blog to GT.

Seeing as there is no kind of biography for the people posting on the blog, it's hard to work out who they are & why they're posting. Where did you find this out?

👍

Edit: I gave up trying to type on a touch phone. Basically the op mentions that the blog isn't exclusive to GT news.

Yeah. He should either post it on Facebook, Blogspot.....

Or set up an GTPlanet account and posted it here :D

In the beginning of May, Yamauchi san asked me whether I’d be interested in “Experiencing the Nürburgring for real, from a GT player’s point of view”. Since he made that offer to me things moved forward really quickly.

Pay attention to Kaz saying "from a GT player's point of view." If EXP had been working for PD, Kaz would not have called him a GT "player" ("user" - maybe "fan" is more suitable - in the original Japanese article), rather would have told him to come with Kaz as an induction course (probably Mr. Shichisawa was told this way, since he said he was a freshman to PD).
Also, in the Japanese same article, it says Kaz had said to EXP, "Why don't we experience for real .... ?", so we can safely assume he was invited by Kaz. It was maybe because of the reputation he had in the Japanese competion, as were Mr. Yamada aka YAM23 and Mr.Yamanaka aka yamado, two of the best GT players in Japan.

The internet does not have a stringent set of rules regarding blog content. It's PD's blog, they can do what they want with it. Seeing as EXP is a GT player invited by Kaz to contribute, his posts are certainly relevant to GT.

GTP is a GT fan forum, but it has much content relating to other games and other topics. Should that all be removed as well?

This has nothing to do with rules for blog content, it is just very poor marketing. All they are doing is frustrating fans. Every time I see a non GT related post on that blog it frustrates me (and, judging by this thread, a lot of others).

I am interested in reading more about the wild and wacky adventures of PD. Where should I go for that?

To much assumption for my liking. The truth is we don't really know much at all about him. It would've been nice to have a proper introduction regarding who he is & why he's posting on the blog. A biography of each contributor would be better.

Takamasa Shichisawa works at Polyphony Digital, he has a public bio on his LinkedIn Profile. Yamauchi-san should be well known, which only leaves 'EXP' as mysterious contributor. I think if he would want us to know him he would have chosen to use his full name and give a more detailed introduction of himself. I agree it's a bit weird not to know who exactly he is but I guess it's his decision after all.

I noticed a small design error on the main page, there is no direct button to go to the next page of posts. Of course you can still view all posts under the category tabs, or by searching posts per author, or by simply going backwards post by post.

Edit: You can also manually type in: http://pitstop.gran-turismo.com/en/page/2
So it's basically all there, they just forgot to add the button.

Regarding EXP.

Based on what EXP said in the most recent article:
I talked about my play style before, but again, I’m really not good a driving. Honestly speaking, I suck at it. But in regards to the photo feature, I’ve photographed an incredible number of pictures, having played the photo mode of Gran Turismo through and through.
It would seem that he is not a top-level driver, but rather a photographer who got his start through GT. He may have won a GT photomode contest, or perhaps he is an apprentice seeking employment at PD (which would explain why he is writing some of these blog posts), perhaps both, we'll know if/when he tells us, I suppose.

It's nice that they're keeping going with these "interest" pieces, but at this point almost all of the content on the Pitstop blog is fluff, with only tenuous connections to the actual game of Gran Turismo.

I'd love it if we had even half as many pieces with Gran Turismo insiders giving their perspective on aspects of the game, as we do of mysterious people giving their perspective on Kaz's weekend hobby.
