Tenacious D ...I understood you. I know what you meant by "select few of us". Some people will pick on you because of the words you use. Your passionate, and at times, thats looked at as being a braggart. You being a "true fan" and "sticking with pd" are some of the things people will attack you for.
You dont have to apologise to anyone. Keeping faith in something is hard to do these days. I say this because modern society has changed to "need evidence" to believe in something. People waiting for the latest piece of news, craving for more and more is normal now. Times where you had to make due with what you have are slowly eroding. Case in point is this blog's creation. People now are accustomed to being in the loop about nearly everything. Its like PD cant work in secret anymore because in this day and age the 'fans' want to know what, where, when, why and how.
Instead of saying, "wow, what a nice thing to do for PD to tell us what goes on with recording sounds or going to the nurburgring" its
EXPECTED of them. There are reasons why we didnt get dlc every month. Reasons why we dont have course maker. Reasons for everything. But thanks to the "need more" age that we live in, 'promises' like new tracks and cars before the game is even released has to be said in order for this modern age to be interested. A game as is isn't enough because weve been spoiled to expect more automatically. Sure, theres features the previous game had that are missing and we should have them for the progression of the series. But instead of waiting for it to come in an update like its said to, PD have to be specific. Again, thats not wrong, its just "getting with the times".
So what Im saying is, be passionate. Stay a fan, but realize when we live, how we live and in the society we live, theres a precedent set. PD will have to match or exceed that because its a new generation that only understands this "information age". You should understand that too, and Im sure you do. Just be careful your words, bro. You dont wanna come off cocky and be labelled. Its all too easy for that to happen on the internet when you dont have to worry about your cowardice shining through like in real life. Anyone can say anything, but it goes both ways. But I understand you, as do many others.
