Response types

When responding, you must respond with a suitable response/status code. Radio the response type when:
a) Calling for backup
a) Responding using _ Code.


Code 1 - Routine Response Type (Not a priority).
This would be used for example if a unit needs transportation. Responding under a code 1 response type means that you will not use any extra speed or sirens/lights.
Code 2 - Urgent Response Type (Lights and sirens at intersections)
This would be used for example if a unit felt aggression from several possible suspects, and felt the situation was becoming dangerous, but had not actually become dangerous. Responding under a code 2 response types means that you will use some extra speed (but not high speed) and are allowed to run intersections if it is safe to do so and with lights and sirens on. Lights and sirens should ONLY be used at intersections.
Code 3 - Emergency Response Type (Lights and sirens)
This would be used if the unit requesting backup was either in a high-speed pursuit or the unit and any apprehended suspects were in imminent danger. Responding under a code 3 response type means that you have full permission to drive at high speed with lights and sirens on. Units should be aware that these situations can be dangerous.
