Ok. I would like to join too. Just be warned I don't pay my dues on a regular basis and I won't attend the meetings.

i figured thats enough for tonight, post some more tommorow

THAT is how EVERY muscle car should be: MODIFIED. restored muscle cars are slow and lame -__- its nonsense to restore a muscle car, they are poorly built, eat gas like cookies, and are danged dangerous stock. that boss 302 is IN-CRE-DI-BLE. look at those brakes!!!

Cano

heh, I should hide...

I partially agree Cano. Slow?(not) Have you ever ridden in a stock 70 SS Chevelle 454 LS6? Slow isn't the word I would use.
I do agree on some modifications though. Suspension and brakes would be good mods but not exterior mods.
Those ugly hood scoops can stay off unless you have done some major work in the engine compartment and the original hood no longer fits.

I dont care how fast they are or how quick or how much the acceleration feels, a 13 second quarter is slow by todays standars, and a stock thing will never be as fast as a modded thing, hence my point of view. yeah, I know they are not "slow" but I need at least 12 seconds and real dependability on a car to really consider it a good car. I dot denny the charm of a original 454, but Id invite you to test an upgraded 454... I dont know you, but **** off that charm, I want the kick ass.

Cano

and I know you get my point.
as for the mustang, its incredible. its just too awesome.

ah, yes, I Remember that one too. 500+ ci, if I remember well, wich makes me think it is poorly built and slow, because I remember it runs 12s. 12 seconds on 500+ ci? LOLOL.

Well if that is a real boss car ,he needs a swift kick in the ass! And as for knocking the LS-6 car its hard to put down the highest HP ever rated in any muscle car. If you want a hopped up car dont ruin an original rare car to do it . Get a mach 1 put some boss stripes on it and do what you want 2 it. Those cars are way to valueable to mess up. I agree with DGB454 ,even though they have alot of engine mods get a 4" cowl hood or even a 6" hood scoops are ugly . that one on that early mustang looks to be a reversed tear drop style like on the thunderbolts and some light weight fairlanes and galaxies. But this is just my opinion and i know every body has one, but thats what makes a muscle car special the way they were built and i like my muscle cars the way they came ,a car you have to drive not an easy get in and sit and the car is easy to handle hell if you want that buy a new car.Amuscle car is a car you have to fight to keep it straight no power brakes no power steering a bare bones sedan with a load of power thats why they were called muscle cars in the first place.

Well some people didn't intend to make their cars drag cars. I was at a drag race one time and if you compared the two cars you know that this one guy would have won, but he loved his car too much and didn't want to destroy it on just a race. I know if I had a '69 Charger R/T I wouldn't be draggin' in it. See what I'm saying.

Sorry dude, but that last statement you made was IDIOTIC. what if I want the style of a muscle car, yeah, a ****IGN rare one, but I want to be able to drive it every day??? I want my danged rare hemi cuda, one of three made, to be able to START every day, not just when the ****ing weather will tell the car to start. I want my superbird to actually stop!!!! I want my raaaare split window vette to run ahead of a ****ing porsche turbo, because THAT IS WHAT MUSCLE CARS WERE MADE FOR, to kick the ass of everything on the road. you bought a muscle car because it had a good power/cost value... but, what was the intention of that? to kick anything in the road. to be FAST. to win. today, sorry, but muscle cars cant do that. any stock muscle car that is put infront of me will be laughing stock when I pull AWAY of it in a modded ford fairmont, or in a porsche. mwahaha, look how I make pieces out of your ZL1 vette!!! LOLOLOL!! please. a piece of history? yeah, they are history right now. I dont denny the charm, I tell you, but I cant see no more further than the cache of "owning a piece of history" yeah, you might as well trailer it to the shows you will take it to, no?? or, for the sake of originality, put bias-ply tires on it!! so that way they will be uncontrolable. nah, forget it, if I have one of those, I will upgrade it so it WILL be a top-performer, just like they were back in the day, when they were the ultimate cars and the dude in the ferrari GTB4 in the other lane trembled when the 426 inches of my engine rumbled. yeah, now I want exactly the same thing. you want a poser? go ahead and restore a muscle car, take it 40 years back. I will have a real car for today, thank you.

Cano

at last, you are a muscle car fan, not a car buff, and much less a hot rodder. I wish you drive a ford tempo. as for the mustang with the dome hood, may I suggest you to first see what the car is all about?? it has the Thunderbolt hood because the owner performed a Thundebolt 427 'cammer engine conversion. imagine tat engine in a lightweight car lik... oh, sorry, you really cant understand this, you'd want the mustang to have the 289
if for any weird reason you want to have some info on the car and why it is cool that it has the dome hood, go here

and no, I wont add a stupid 4 inch hood scoop, neither. I want to drive it, not to drag it.

Well for one i have probably owned more muscle cars than you have been in.And as for your supposed hemi cuda "as to which i doubt very much you own" If in fact you keep them tuned up and take care of them they are as dependable as any new car, my point my 50 fleetline all stock 216 3 on the tree I put 4,000 miles in three months no problem the only part that is not stock on the drive train is the tires because bias tires do suck. So as to weather having to with them starting you have some problems other than age take care of it it will run fine . I had a 69 Z-28 302 4 speed that got stolen no problem ever,70 SS nova 350 4 speed no problem ,69 396 chevelle never a problem .I grew up in a garage and know the importance of taking care of these cars.My 63 nova now 327 fact 6 so im not a purist ,like i said before if its not a rare car do with it what you will ,if in fact some one would take a hemi car as to which only 3 were built and mess it up he or she would be a moron and in need of a kick in the ass! plain and simple. So for cars that are in my family now ,My uncle tim has a 69 Z-28 327 4 speed ,a 68 Z-28 302 4 speedand a 57 2 dr bel-aire 283 auto all are original cars my uncle darrel a 70 chevelle SS 454 auto all stock My aunt gemmie 72 cuda 340 4 speed pistol grip shifter.my cars 63 nova 327 bored 30 over auto soon to 4 speed 9" ford rear.and i have friends that have a 440 6 pack cuda ,a 67 427 impala ,69 6 pack super bee,68 hemi road runner .so yes i have been around a few and they are worth more stock than they are modified.

And to me not being a hot rodder or car buff i am more of both than most will ever be . i took a 40 chevy pick up put a 455 olds motor in it,a 37 willy's pick up 400 4 speed ,a 64 barracuda 413 cross ram in it most horriable of all a 80 AMC spirit 400 tri power 4 speed ford rear. so as a hot rodder I AM a car enthusiast I love all cars from a 27 ford to a new saleen mustang I am not partial to what make or power train it has .All i was saying "why ruin a rare car "and if you cant drive a car with a 4" cowl hood on it you shouldn't be driving its less than 2 inches taller than a stock cowl hood so i dont see why you couldn't drive it on the road.:banghead:

You invite me to test an upgraded 454???? Are you new here?? Apparently you don't know what I drive. :odd:

Don't worry about Cano Musclecarfan. I don't believe he owns a car let alone a muscle car. I guess that doesn't disqualify him from being a fan of the legends though.
