You guys hitting times under 1'52" in laps 2 and 3 need to change your name to GTP_GAWD_<insert a number here>. Did someone actually use the term "smoother is faster" in an event that involves the Art Morrison Corvette? That car is only smooth when its moving in a straight line and even then its an adventure. :)

new lap time
lap 2 1:51.116
lap 3 1:56.474
its still not my best overall as the 1st and 3rd laps have let me down.
has anyone noticed when the lotus spins off on lap 1 it waits for the other AI drivers to pass and then when your closer to the damn thing it just barges into you.

Div 3 gold

Yes and no, Once he hit me, then another time he sat with his brakes on waiting for me to pass.

Sweet. Can you make a prediction for the month when your data entry application will be up & running?
I can tell you the month, but not the year. :sly:

Details will be posted in the GTP event data entry project thread. Pentagram has been doing the lions share of the work (I've just been trying to keep up, thus far), and he's been making great progress so far, and so completion dates will depend primarily on his schedule.

I imagine that we'll first open it up to a few test users, and the GTP leaderboard would be a great way to test it out. This should be possible in a week or two. Until we are confident that it's functional, stable, and secure, we won't open it up to general use. For our "beta" phase, we'll open it up for general use and comments, but won't have the "official" submission process use it until we've worked out the bugs, and Sphinx makes the call to do the switchover.

Yes I have noticed that. It's hard not to notice. After about the 4th time I restarted to get a different lineup so that particular lotus was right in front of me. Then when he spun off I just went by.

Of course the other one spun coming onto the oval and plowed right through the pack and me too of course.

1st clean run
GTP_spyrrari1 dfp(dfgt)/d1 gold
lap2 1'52.083
lap3 1'52.321

still loads of time to improve...

spyrrari.

what do you reckon is the best line up to go against.
Most off the times you have the 2 skyline coupes infront but also noticed a ELISE and evo, skyline and clio. The latter being the best for my times.

That must be exactly what I'm waiting for then and it would appear that I'm not alone. :sly:
I'm using one of the settings who has been posted in this thread, think its the one from "Bigracer"👍

Hi all, not sure if this was answered yet or not but if the AI smacks into you from behind does that make the race un-clean?

Update clean race

What really gets you is if you survive the 1st corner on the 2nd lap without getting punted then it's a battle to keep the 350z from punting on the 3rd lap.

Am not finding the 350Z a problem TBH, or the Elise now, just the Evos on the first lap holding me up through the bus stop. :banghead:

This event is deffinatley not Pad user freindly. The control needed whilst trying to overtake on the straights (Oval part of track), is impossible.

I have not had one single clean lap in 10 turns. :grumpy:

High side is almost always clear, though it often doesn't look like it. There are a couple spots where the AI drifts wide, but you can usually squirt past unscathed. High side seems to be easier to control than low side, since the AI likes to take the low line in traffic.

Of course you'll want to duck down to sneak a draft where you can, and I could see how this may be tricky with a controller.

Here's the result of my fumblings so far ; :dopey:

L2 1,55.257
L3 1,54.820

Edit: Just read the thread from Craig Morrison.
This car has a live rear axle. So there is no way to alter the camber and toe values of the back axle in reality.
