After being gone from the game for a while, the game seems almost ruined by what they have done with the tire wear in the update and screwing up the rooms with lag issues. Personally I would like to see the tire wear turned off and just run hard, instead of trying to run slow enough to save the tires. That would be fun.

I tried checking the replay for the lap 4 incident. It's really, really hard for me to get a conclusive stop action view of the incident using the chase cam view. In one frame there's at least a 1 ft gap between JT and Boshuter. Next frame Bo has lost traction and has started sideways. Viewing it from Boshuter's "bumper" view it looks/seems like JT taps Bo. From JT's, it looks like Bo gets loose and no contact is made.

Just out of curiosity, it would be interesting if someone w/ photo skills could show contact being made. I'm just wondering if this is a case of lag that I can't see. I'm not trying to make a big case out of this as this is a no-points race or make a commentary on anyone's driving style at all. For future reference it would be nice to know we could count on a replay to provide inconclusive evidence.

It's hard to use replays because everyone but yourself looks laggy. In this case I didn't feel anything as the replay looks. I will however try to stay away in turns as much as I can. But as I write above I'm kind of just going for it as I see it. Thanks for your input ncr. I'm not trying to get crazy with this either but for some reason I'm a dive bomber now.

I tried to do the photo thing but it took forever. With the YouTube video use the pause function and click through frame by frame.

That looks like a really good pass to be honest. Scorpion went out wide, you took the inside, scorpion turns into you but he had left enough space for you to get in.

To me, a dive bomb is when a racer recklessly dives into the corner at max speed hoping to bounce off the other racers or us the other racer as a wall to make the turn. In my opinion it looks like JT out brakes scorpion but doesn't aim to use scorpions car to make the turn.

Well I have to agree, that would be much easier than actually learning to manage tires (without going slow).

Please allow me to apologize for what I said. My behavior was extremely inappropriate, immature, and lacked the respect you JT, and the rest of the racers deserve. It was a disruption and distracted others from having fun in this off season league.

I learned that nobody appreciates my poor behavior. In the future, I have every intention of curbing my thoughtless actions and learn to adjust my behavior befitting the environment and situation.

Again, I am sorry for my post and hope that we can put this matter behind us. I look forward to racing with you again soon.

We all get bent out of shape at times. I always ask anyone to be straight up and if they feel I wrecked them on purpose to let me know and I always request review from everyone in the league publicly when it's an issue with me.

Please don't curb anything. You have a lot of good input, practice, are kind enough to relay your findings and show up on race day like clockwork. I'm kind of a on the spot driver, hurry into places and as result sketchy situations arise. I can totally understand your point of view and respect your comments.

Everything is good. In the future I'll try to only get close enough to take off a side view mirror instead of a door handle.

Thanks man.

Well I did "actually learn" to manage the tire wear. It was much better before the update (without going slow). It would also be a better race if everyone stayed on the track instead of parking it when there is pretty much the entire race left to go.

I think we should make it mandatory to finish the race and at the end check the replay for involuntary accidents, so we can deal the parties involved by adding points or disqualifying people with bad intentions. No more parked cars.

This is a no points, for fun, off season series. If someone chooses to park it, I say, so be it, their loss.

As far as parking cars go this is my thoughts. If someone quits out of a race the purse total drops, not that that really matters. If you have to park your car for some reason it would probably be best to just back out of the race or park way off track so as not to interfere with other drivers. Where DA and Bo were parked really wasn't a great spot because it was a distraction to myself. I ended up looking at their cars instead of my mark going into the turn (natural reaction). I understand if people want to park to save the replay as you can not if you quit the race.

So if your going to park try and find a hiding spot. But guys this is a casual series. Like I stated in an earlier post. Who cares where you finish, I don't care where I finish. If you get wrecked or go off track so what, get back in there and see how well you can come back from an incident. I personally get a lot of satisfaction in making the best of a bad situation.

There are points penalties outlined in the AIWJT thread that will continue to be used for my next series (not fiasco). It's the 3rd post down under the points awards listing. I'm asking DJ to run the same rules when he starts up again. There are no penalties issued for OGR as it's screw around. I designed the penalties to encourage finishing out a race not so much as a punishment. More cars on track the better.

Doh, just lost the warmth and tingle:(

Hahaha! That sure didn't last long.

As for parking, I think I stated in one of the STC threads my stance against parking cars. I think it was in response to Snoopykuan parking and then wanting the bonus points for finishing a race. I would prefer that racers continue racing regardless of any racing incident.

I know it blows to practice all week and then have a glitch or unfair racing incident end your race early but it shows good sportsmanship to finish the race. As one of the worst drivers in this league I am constantly being out raced or in losing efforts but still try to finish every race I enter.

Also, I find it very condescending to suggest to people "learn how to drive right". What constitutes "correct" driving? How would we determine who is driving "right" without knowing how their equipment (wheel vs DS3) or brand (logitech vs fanatech vs thrustmaster) or internet connection is affecting the way they drive. And lets not forget to mention that for many people, just finding time to practice is an effort. So I'm not sure if it was meant to be offensive but I find it an insult for somebody to suggest that I or anybody else "learn how to drive". I am not the fastest in the group but my enjoyment of the game shouldn't be affected by what others think is "correct" driving.

I do not like new tire wear update. I don't find it realistic in the least (when was the last time you watched a ALMS GT car pit 3 times in a 1 hour race?) and I prefer the old tire wear. Was the old tire wear perfect? No, it wasn't. But at least nobody was insinuating the way I race was wrong.

The whole idea behind this league and many others is just to go out and have a fun time. So lets try to get over racing incidents and not be frustrated with lag or glitches and just do some damn racing.

@R0ADRASH It's my birthday on the 26th so I'm not going to be able to make that race. I hope everybody has a great race and above all have some fun.

What he says!

Sorry I/we distracted you guys with where we parked. I just parked next to bo because I had to park and figured why not. Some things needed taken care of and I had to leave. To prevent that from happening again, I'm going to say I can't make this Thursdays race. I have to study that night. As far as I know, I can make the one after that though.

Ok guys being this is a really short track and we have experienced some serious lag issues with the shorter tracks, I have a back up plan. If we have problems I will stop the race and switch to the full version of Cape Ring. We will run 18+1 laps. No adjustments should be needed to your tune, so remember where you qualified and we'll line up and go

There was a lot of lag in your lounge for practice after GV. I think open lobby will help.

It should be ok. I just want to have a back up plan that everyone knows about

For instance I saw Scorpion hit the pit sign wall. His car completely stopped. A second later his car warped back onto track about 30 yards down and he just kept on going. I'm sure he didn't drive into the wall (although any of us may at this track) but the computer sure put him in it. Crazy.

And to think there isn't any problems with the network
