I was trying to call people out to race the drag strip in my van but for some reason I wasn't allowed. I think is was the baby seat being an illegal component.

This was at about 8:30 in the morning. WTCC was ok, the stand out racing was the USTCC.

My guess is you're rockin' the Mazda5.

That series has some great door to door racing, but I don't think it will last in the US. Rolex and Continental are struggling as it is for fan base and TV time.

Able and Skeletor, I have moved you guys up to the 11th and 12th spots, so you guys will be racing every week.

you couldn't even call it a crowd out there yesterday - more like a largish group.

Very cool RoadRash. I should be able to participate in most of the events. Oh, and my car number is just 9, not "09". My bad. I'll try to come up with a team name for myself soon.

Seems like the US is not interested in actual racing with actual cars involving actual cornering & braking, and actual driving talent. If it isn't racing in a oval/circle, forget it, no one cares. Which sucks, because I think Nascar is really boring.

I'm sorry to say, I'm going to miss this series. Wednesdays won't work very well for me the next month or so. I will also be out of town a couple of times, so I would miss at least two races anyway. Plus, I just picked up F1 2012 and want to give it a go, at least for a while. I loved the career mode in 2010. It was the reason I broke down and bought a wheel. It's pretty tough to steer a F1 car with your thumb on a 1" joystick.

I appreciate your efforts, RR. I bet its going to be fun series. I will definitely follow this thread to keep up with all the wackiness.

Damn sorry to hear that Logan. Just not the same without you racing with us. I hope you can make a few events.

Totally agree! Besides being a good driver I enjoy your witty-ness.

I share the same opinion. I don't follow NASCAR, but I don't hold anything against those that do. I've never been a fan of oval racing. The one thing I like about NASCAR is they bang fenders. Now with wtcc and V8 super cars we get the best of both worlds.

I never cared for NASCAR that much until I began to really watch and understand what is going on. Yes some of the races get boring, but I tend to get wrapped up in all the drama. I never miss a race now. I have to say Rolex is my second favorite and try to catch all the broadcasted races and the Millville race if I can make it there.

Sorry, I should have stated that I followed NASCAR for 10 years before falling away. There was that one race at talledega years back that ended my NASCAR days...

International racing series can't be successful in the US because the network showing the series has them set up for failure from the start, intentionally or un-intentionally. Nothing to do with they're not enough fans, people can't be fans of series that they dont see.

Speed is only focused on Nascar, you have shows like Race Hub, trackside and another hundred other shows dedicated to Nascar. But take a look at the shows focused on other series - the 1 show that is dedicated to F1 is on @ 1AM on Saturday usually before qualifying of the next race. Mobile 1 The Grid is on just before F1 debrief @ 12:30 AM. You never ever get to watch a V8 Supercars race the same day takes place and they only show FIA GT1/GT3, BTCC & DTM race edits during the off season of NASCAR...... F1 race replays usually happen on weekdays in the middle of the afternoon????? - WHO is watching TV Mondays at 2PM - Why not show it after the nascar race or before or even Sunday Nights. The network has very little interest in racing outside the US.

I download F1 from the BBC or Skysports 15 mins after the race is over so I can watch and get some real F1 news and on track interviews ( The same type of coverage Nascar gets here in the US) , but the average fan is not going to do that so take what they see on tv and move on. Someone is not going searching for race series they don't know exist or know very little about, but a network cant show a BTCC race at 1 pm on a wed and say "oh that didn't get very good ratings so we can't bother doing more in-depth race coverage than that."

And British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) is Awesome Wheel to wheel racing, 3 Race sprints, 3rd race has reverse grid. Great to watch when you have a small amount of time, I try to watch a round during my lunch break.

From what I've read this morning, tire wear has been adjusted to more realistic levels for both online and off.

The new update is out from what i am hearing. There is a buzz around the office. People were going crazy in the intersections honking their horns. Chicks were flashing me on the way into work...okay maybe not.

I haven't downloaded and tested yet. But have heard...
Tire wear i am hearing is improved greatly
Aero adjustments seem to matter now
Clutch is still crap

I'll jump on tonight to test out the new goodies.
