Tyres last a lot longer, Im not sure its better. There wont be much tyre wear for us at all with mediums and shorter races.

It may be in my head but it seems harder to mess up a shift with H shifter now?

It's good this week is just practice if aero actually does something now. Some of us may have to rework or set ups.

I'm worried about this "Adjusted the changes in control characteristic when altering vehicle height from standard height." sounds like retuning to me.

I got flashed too! If when I'm in the bus and look down women's tops while passing by, then yeah I got flashed too.

If the draft is active in free run that will screw up our qualifying. Unless there is an option to turn it off. We'll have to go out one at a time and would have to cut down on number of hot laps. Bad idea PD

It can be turned off

That's good. But rather just not have that option. I know I'll end up with open lobbies where people 'forget' to turn it off or like to have it on.

Kinda wish PD would release DLC that doesn't involve another GT-R and a Toyota 86 clone. Anyways, I'll be on later this evening to see what all the 2.08 hype is about.

I haven't been on yet. Just catching some details from the forums. Apparently the on / off is a bit more complex. To turn off the draft you must disable the new collision feature. Doesn't make much sense. Just give us an on / off option!

I agree with Mike. Its a small step in the right direction. I still feel the draft should be toned down a few notches though.

Maybe someone will create a flow chart on how and what options have to be on or off in order for another one to be turned on or off.

I'm actually more concerned about this:

"Adjusted the changes in control characteristic when altering vehicle height from standard height. . ."

No it wouldn't. That would mess up qualifying. I know it can be dealt with easily enough here in this series, but would be annoying in other open lobbies.

More often than not, we find ourselves (this group) questioning the weak draft and how it may or may not come into play. It will be nice to jump into Free Run, hook up with a driver without reseting the lounge and/or disturbing other drivers just for the sake of checking out the draft. But before we get to use this feature we will probably have to buy a bunch of new Skylines or something.

I've done some reading on here today too.

Sounds like the draft turns off when "deactivate collision" is on. So really that's pretty good for qualifying. No way to be slowed down by slower cars on track or guys who don't go in when they're times up. Cote in DTM's anyone?

The high/low ride height thing apparently was addressed I heard too. Good riddance. I haven't tried any of it out yet though.

Is that the high front low rear thing?

I think so. Haven't checked it out though. I'm more interested in the tire wear myself.

Edit: I read a post where a tuner noticed a change in that effect but haven't seen anything else about it.

I'm hearing the tire wear is much slower. As in when you would normally pit you will now have 80% tire life left. I'm not complaining there! The question i have is will mediums be competitive now against softs in the longer races?

Well there goes my advantage in long races.......

Me too, that sucks IMO tire strategy is out the window unless we legthen our races

True.....

I've been reading the tuning forums since I can't get online. They've been saying if you tune online it shouldn't be a huge difference.

Here's a pretty interesting thread discussing the new aerodynamics. They've performed test with various down force adjustments. Good info.

It seems as if PD increased the minimum and maximum speeds in relation to minimum and maximum settings. At basics, more top speed for running the lowest setting and less top speed for running max. I'm most interested in handling. For example, is running at 80% rear downforce with 2.08 in line with running at 100% downforce with 2.07.

Full downforce, all day erryday
