I don't even think it's the most ludicrous claim this guy's made. Someone near him owns a Corvette. It's not necessarily any different from any other Corvette, except that this one is close and he could post a picture.

I once saw a Toyota Echo beat a Corvette at an autocross. Since then, I've never been impressed by Corvettes.

Just no...please stop, I'm surprised you haven't ended up here yet.

@CAMAROBOY69 Im not sure thats true. Now they have to dig through hundreds of posts. This thread just brings to much activity when one single post happens to poke its way in.

Game to game contracts in some cases.

But, here's the killer bit. Are these 3 indies rich?
If they really had that kind of funding, I don't see why manufacturers would settle for their products being showcased in a game being published independently, it would be defeating the purpose of brand recognition. Also, I'm pretty sure that you can't agree any forms of licensing if you don't meet at least one manufacturer representative in person. You can't just send an e-mail asking for permission.

Its better to see it in this thread, instead of seeing a proper thread get hijacked while trying to get the truth. In fact look how fast I took the original C7 discussion from the "show off your recent purchase" and took it in here. Otherwise it would have been 3-4 pages of people hijacking a good thread. This thread is perfect the way it is. In fact it also makes it easier for the moderators to keep an eye on this thread other than trying to dig through other multiple threads.

True.

@legacyMACHINE: I see your point too, I shall sit back and check this later to see the outcome of... Urrm, whatever this is.

There are work arounds to this that almost every developer does as they licence on the go so I can forgive you for that.

The ripped models and the fact you wanted to delete all history of any critisisms was questionable though. We asked a few questions and you had a melt down and said close the thread last time it happened.

Featuring 2 laser scanned cars - C7 corvette and Nissan Pathfinder
That was a low blow there.

It's true, though. Say what you want, but those Corvettes are slow at autocross. I can tell you're a fanboy, though, so keep living in your fantasies where there's nothing faster than the Corvette. nothing. Not even a small, lightweight Toyota Echo dodging pylons on one of the world's tightest autocross courses.

So are plenty of others, Autocross isn't the tell all tell all of overall performance a car can do and is put in specific parameters. Ah and then the whole fanboy thing comes in due to lack of an argumet...when in fact I have this name due to the race team and not because of the actual car. I'm sure you did see a corvette get beat at autocross, I guess everyone should go out and buy an Echo cause it's the pinnacle car .

And the only person I see living in this fantasy land where one type of driving event defines a car somehow is you. Oh and you might want to review AUP since the mods don't take to kindly to the whole Fanboy comments.

One question, who cares?

This thread is about ludicrous claims, not whatever the hell you're talking about.

Andrew, please don't. Try not to be the star attraction of this thread.

The point I was making: who cares? It is just a run-of-the-mill Corvette. They've been around for 60 years... They're not uncommon... I see Maserati and Tesla everyday, and I don't make a scene or a fuss.

Even if it actually were his Corvette... All that tells me is that his father makes some weird decisions... Entrusting a car like that to an 18 year old.

I was talking to a police officer yesterday, who spotted me on his coffee break and came to talk to me about my Impreza - he liked it.

He told me about how he almost took away a 16 year old's 2014 Ford Mustang 5.0... For "stunt driving." ...my point is, @TheProRacer obviously didn't get that Corvette by himself, obviously can't drive it very well (guaranteed, no 18 year old non-racing driver should be able to) and will probably get himself into trouble over it.

And he expected us to be impressed!
