That's fast jammy. Had s couple of races with Joe earlier, my best was a 2.10:9, think Joe ran a 10.2. Gonna be close between you guys up front. Mid field pack should be good fun too though, seems to be a few of us around the same pace.

Fantastic fun great racing and amazing racers.
Reverse grid an inspired idea Joe. 💡

Apologies to all I bumped but I tried to give place back.

Excellent battles all round.
Tom @tooma you were incredibly tricky to pass 2nd race. And I really wasn't trying to bump you off the road. :mischievous:
Can't believe I finally got you at Stowe on the final lap!!

Looking forward to next week.

Driver of the Day: jam_my21

Contrats to Jammy for 2 great wins. You were in a class of your own mate. Well done:cheers:

The first race was a lot of fun as I battled back from last, and the second race was probably my favourite race of all time (from last again, I think?). Very close battles with tooma, Jocke, Suts, buybon, everyone in fact! Running with 2 morning coffees in me couldn't push me further up the grid:confused: but I had a huge smile on my face for almost the entire race. Might need to run mid pack from now on to get my new fix. Good to see everyone trying to be clean, however, some people looked a little too eager to get their hands on the Trophy. It's more rewarding knowing that you've passed someone safely;)

Next week: Wholeflats Aerodrome: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/resources/wholeflats-aerodrome.5099/

I often tend to leave things to the last minute and so it was
too yesterday. When in Joe's lobby, while adding parts
to the Trans Am I suddenly ran out of credits with three
minutes to go until the green flag.
I had no choice but to start race #1 on standard brakes
and the stock transmission with just four gears.

The race was still enjoyable though (I feared I would be lapped fairly quickly)
and after a few laps I had set one goal for myself: Finish within one minute of the winner.
I achieved that goal as I was 56 seconds behind jammy in the end
and I also had a great fight with iamtooma towards the latter stages of the race which
was good fun and clean. It was also the first time your car didn't lag
on my tv screen, Tom, so I was never afraid of accidentally hitting you.

After the race I exited the room so that I could sell some cars in order
to afford proper racing brakes, but I kept the stock four speed box fitted as it
felt quite nice. When I returned to the lobby the game had me on an
undeserving pole position on the grid for race #2 so that's why I ghosted until
the field went by.

Great pack racing there for a while until I went off due to missing my
braking point by some margin.
I hope I can get my brain to prepare better for the next outing.
At least my car looked the business, quite pleased with the paint scheme
and the hood/bonnet I had fitted.

2nd race was meant to be reverse grid mate. You deserved pole and should have just gone for it like we did. Still didn't help me as very quickly got overhauled by the fast guys...and jammy!:sly:

In my point of view first race was exiting first few laps when R_A_M_G marsatak could follow me but when he/she got DC race was kind of over and I just concentrated not to make any mistake and keep my lead.
2nd race was more fun to make through the field when started from the back (reverse grid).
I'll skip next races and come back to you when we race at Mount Panorama. So see you there. Keep it clean and fun.

Thanks blue and Jocke. I have no idea why the video would work on gtplanet and not on YouTube..mmm.. anyway, it's just another way for me to record and share some good memories I made.

Nice fight we had one of my best race in GT

Ditto Tom.

It's not my best track but the Trans Am/Silverstone combo works well and the track has a great flow to it.

You positioned your car really well throughout Tom:bowdown: However, the gold medal for the hardest man on the planet to overtake goes to tooma:cheers:

Awesome race 2 footage. Really hard fought battles. Couple of touches but no advantage taken. I was buzzing after it!

Excellent driving tom ascar. Not heavily defending, just putting your car in the right place all the time. I could not find a way past. All the while I'm trying not to leave a gap for Joe! Great stuff.

I've found that is often the case, a Tom? :)

I can see the video Joe and it looks like it was a shame that I missed the smoking bandit racing.

You did race hard and fair and I weet my shirt big time you and Joe gave me no space :scared: When I saw the video I realise it also got a bit luck. :)
Want more of that kind race 👍

The video below doesn't feature everyone – only the mid pack – otherwise it would end up too long.

Video worked fine for me on iPhone and PC.

Welcome to reefer racing. This is what draws us all here. To race hard, fair, clean but above all have fun. :D:cool:

I did sleep only about 1-2 hrs last night and have sleeping all day long today :)
Yes I got your point for mid field racing and I had that on my other races (4am) and I was 3rd and 4th.
After races it takes time to get your mind off the races and what happen in them.
After watching your video I kind of wondering if I could make time to join you more races than only Mount Panorama...
How did you get on in your 4am race Jammy?

A Bathurst Challenge for Jammy: If you can beat my time in the Mt. Panorama 630pp TT in the same car (Z4 GT3 '11) you can join anytime mate:D

Don't think we've had one 'dirty' move in all the races we've had, eh Suts? I can't think of one.

That Bathurst TT is hard, it took me like 15 laps to get a clean lap that counted since I kept clipping an inside wall somewhere on the track, and gave up with a 2:00 something even though I could've done a second or two better.

I got close to you in the midfield one though. Just couldn't quite get a perfect lap...yet.

Re TTs: I give myself an hour for 2 days on the trot and that's it. Too frustrating spending time looking for a 10th. My ps3 is often on in the background but more often than not I'm pottering away doing something else. A 1:54 is doable though. And a tenth is the difference between turning the wheel 2mm more and staying on the track, or hitting the barriers. 2mm? Sometimes it's 1mm. I know. I've measured it.

Then there was Silverstone yesterday, which I never wanted to end.

Here's a odd thing, during a race when someone goes off, I feel bad for them. Same if I have a moment - I feel bad for the guys I was racing close with as I denied them a close race. Is it just me?

I usually spend 1 or 2 hours one Sunday on them and that's it. I only go back to them if I know I can pick up a lot and care enough to (usually that was just on the vision GT ones where the car was stock so it felt more of an accomplishment to do well, finishing in the top 500 of the VW vision one at Nurb GP is probably my proudest seasonal achievement)

I'm the same as you, I feel bad for anyone who goes off in front of or around me (it often seems to be Colin) since they won't get what they deserve. I feel the same if someone is leading and they go off, especially if they're leading for multiple laps and then something happens

Just had another blast at Bathurst and managed to beat my time with a red lap, but then gave up after that.

However, I'm always curious to know how many Brits enter these TTs but it's hard to gauge as not that many appear on the leaderboard. I'm usually 4th or 5th placed Brit and in the Bathurst 630pp TT I'm 2nd fastest Brit. There is NO WAY that I'm the 2nd fastest Brit TTer, so I guess many just don't do them. Why do the Brits appear to be so crap? Do many just not enter?

Most of them have moved on to ps4 or PC by now. A lot of the old names who used to always be at the tops of the lists aren't there anymore since they aren't playing. I'm the fastest Canadian in the midfield one also.

I'm not the fastest Greek though :)
