Looks great Joe, shame I'm missing out. :irked:

I was actually going to come and watch the races but I did wander if an extra person in the room might cause more lag, so decided to sit it out. I'll watch the "Dukes" video again instead. :)

I'm hoping to return (start!) at some point.

The race would have been perfect for you Paul!

I was actually going to come and watch the races but I did wander if an extra person in the room might cause more lag, so decided to sit it out. I'll watch the "Dukes" video again instead. :)

I decided the best way to keep the video short (with at leas a visual on most cars) was to make a 'Colin video' given that it was his track 'n all.

I'm hoping to return (start!) at some point.

Looking forward to it as well as @FPV MIC, @Bowtie-muscle, @R_A_M_G marsatak, @jammy21, @Bjoern,

And of course to have @fadmad
back too who couldn't join us this week.

..other than the one with John in race 2.

That's the one.

Anyways. I will forget about it...

Great!

Had lots of fun guys ,thanks for having me!

Good to have you mate.

mgo
:) thx for the bonus we had good fun that's all I'm asking for 👍

It's well deserved and we'll be running it from now on

That puts things in perspective. Why don't the Immortals move on to PC or PS4?

Ran on your track last night Colin with Al (autope10). 2:18.5 was my best lap - if you want something to shoot for - and Al was doing 2.21s. Here's another oddity: with exactly the same power parts and weight he had 8hp more than me. So he went and bought a new Charger - same, 8hp up without oil change. Are the hp figures slightly different depending on which area of the world you are in? I think I read something about that before.
I think This happens Passing Miles per hour of a km / h, there is a little difference between them.

Maybe, just maybe I might make a guest appearance. :)

I haven't turned a wheel in almost a month so I'm not sure about being in any way competitive, or even staying on the track! Even if I don't race I will at least try and join you to spectate since I'm missing the action.

iam so sorry, but i become the cars not stable. I think iam out, my wheel is damaged and with pad by this cars make no fun.......

The cars are for me little beginner very difficault. The tracks, naaaaaaajaa.

No problem mate. See how you feel for Mt. Panorama next week:tup:

Sorry Joe I didn't make it in the end.

A buzzing noise on the phone line that I thought they'd fixed on Thursday returned during Saturday. Further tests on the line have now resulted in not being able to use the phone at all! Another engineer booked for Wednesday.

Although, rather surprisingly, I still have internet access, the line is that noisy the speed has dropped considerably. So again what with the lag problems I thought it best to stay away. Try again next week.

Hope Rocky Road went well.

I was saying on the mic that second race was karma for hitting Tom at the beginning. I was on maximum attack at the start, and made a questionable move before the jump and hit him in midair, where the brakes have no effect.

It was also another cautionary tale since I drove normally in race 1 and tried to drive more aggressively in race 2 and it didn't work. I did run my fastest lap of either race on the final lap of the second race though, 1:50.6 (which I also ran in practice but couldn't duplicate for ages)

At first glance the track looked easy but once you put the Camino on it things got very tricky especially the long sweeping corners. Just as you relax the camino suddenly oversteers and it's hard to catch once it's past a certain angle!!!

Had 2 awful starts. Race 1 - went into a cloud of smoke and hit Rich...sorry. He seemed to be recovering from a spin? Played catch up all of race 1. Rich got me but due to a few other incidents ended up 8th.

Race 2 had a good start but landed funny after the jump and couldn't stop the resulting pirouette. :embarrassed: Sorry if I took anyone out with that but I did ghost myself. Ended up at the back again and played catch up. However race 2 seemed to have better speed and traction?!?:odd: Had the advantage of following Jammy and Joe so tried to copy their lines and braking points. Definitely helped and with others finding the grass managed to grab 4th!!!

Great fight with Buybon. 👍 Somehow managed to stay ahead but could see he was closing with blue on his tail.

Great racing as always.

Im working next Saturday night so will probably miss Bathurst and Z28!:banghead:
I was really looking forward to that so if I'm not busy will try to join.

Meet 3

Rocky Road
El Camino SS 396 ‘67

*Cleanest Driver of the Day: bloodyboyblue +12 points! Showed good spacial awareness when running close to other cars. (NB: Not easy to choose this week as everyone had a moment or two. Four drivers made the shortlist but after looking at both replays and considering everything blue takes the honours this week!)

Hi guys, Joe I will miss the next race meet at Bathurst.
When you guys start the qualifying session I'll most likely
be lying in bed in a hotel room near Nurburgring so I can
get up early on Sunday to go to the track. : )

I'll be back for the Motoyama Speedway races (that's my TPE track by the way, guys).
It's not the most conventional track perhaps but I hope most of you will enjoy it all the same.

Further tests on the line have now resulted in not being able to use the phone at all!

There's always smoke signals if needs must Paul! Works for me:P

I was on maximum attack at the start, and made a questionable move before the jump and hit him in midair

The idea was to be sensible at the start so no one would go off. But it wasn't only you. I got dunted three times (in the first section) with Colin taking the brunt of my unintentional forward momentum in one of them.

At first glance the track looked easy but once you put the Camino on it things got very tricky

Two deceiving corners Suts, you had a great second race though.

Good vid Jocke. That was a bloody crazy battle between blue and John. And Richy just pipped you over the line too. Loved the window wipers swishing the flies away or were you just looking for some extra speed?:D My best time in practice was 1:48.9, still 0.2 sec behind jammy's best race-lap time, but in the race could only manage 1:49.3.

As I'll be away for 4 days this week I thought I'd take the Camaro out for a dust down at Bathurst last night. Best time was 2:10.3. I know with my current set up the car can do 2:10.049 but I'm sure jammy and @FPV MIC will be in the 2:09s. Anyone got a lap time to aim for 'cos so far I'm finding it a real struggle?

I did two bump to you, sorry again. 1st one in my replay seems that we didn't even touch but still you went wide like we did contact. 2nd time I brake too late I couldn't void contact to your car's rear (that's the one Colin got some of it impact).

My best in practice was also 1.48'9, but in lead it's much easier to do faster laptime when there's nobody round you.

My best is at the moment 2'09.0 (usually my laptimes are round 2'10.x). My setup is good but still I'm not happy with it. Hopefully I'll have still time to do some tuning.

Strangely enough getting bumped (even off) never bothers me. It never has! But I'm always conscious of others being hit hence the request for a sensible start to the race.

Had a quick run there in the Camaro and changed my tune up. Managed a 2:09.8. Was on for a 2:09.3 but screwed up the last corner.

Edit: 2:09.2 now tune still needs work

.

Strange, that's the opposite for me, I'm always much slower when I'm leading and on my own, hence why I hate leading and prefer to stay behind someone till the end of the race. I need to see someone in front of me to run fast.

I've just booked a 4-day getaway not realising that I won't be back until Sunday! Have been gradually getting the Camaro/Mt. Panorama bug too:irked: I guess I could ask Tom to open the room instead, or we put it back a week?

Or is 2pm UK an option on Sunday?

Silly Joe.

I'm a dunderheid:banghead: Try finding that word in your dictionary John!

Thanks guys, l hope it doesn't upset too many others to shift it back a week? If yer practicing, time to aim for 1:08.833 - a freak lap that I'll never see again.. but at least I know that the tune has it in it.

Oh, and Jocke, if pushing Bathurst back a week means your Motoyama meet date doesn't suit, let me know 'cos I want you to be there for your track!
