ok. . . .

Lunar Lander..
Summer games
Winter games
ok, I beleive Decatholon was its name on the old school Card system computer. . . :D

Maybe a week ago Xplay did a show on the old Atari, Colecovision, and Intellivision games. I guess somebody has re-released them for some new console with a bunch of games on one disk. It was a throw back to see those old games. I had Intellivision, which sucked, because nobody else did, so I couldn't swap games with my friends. Dad and his consumer reports research. Bah.

I ruled at Lunar Lander - monochrome vector graphics. There was also a similar game with two ships and a top view, a two-player game where you battled each other.

And to go all the way back, there was a mechanical submarine game called Sea Wolf where you looked through a periscope and shot at ship silhouettes that moved back and forth across the view, with your torpedo being a set of flashing lights. I still remember the weird "arooooooga" sound the PT boat made (worth many bonus points) as it flew across.

Reminds me a little of "Beach Head", from the description.

Anybody here ever play "Bucky O'Hare"? Moreover, anybody ever finish the bloody thing? That was probably the game in which I invested the most time yet never got around to beating it. If indeed it could be beaten, I always got killed off near the end where you have to destroy a huge toad ship, when escaping the even larger toad ship. Argh! Makes me want to dig up the old 8-bit console and cartridge and get my revenge... Nah, I'd lose again anyway.

I also used to get a kick out of "MAPPY" in my infant years of playing.

Oh man! My Dad got me an Intellivision (which I spent hours on) when everyone else got Nintendo. I feel your pain. I used to play some of the good ole Intellivision games like tron, thin ice, and commando.

I never could make it past the second level on commando. I still remember the music from that game though... burned into my brain for all time.

I had a Coleco Vision with Zaxxon and a few other games.

Prince of persia was awesome, hard but awesome. Does anybody remember Another World, or it's sequel Flashback? They were awesome games. Oher games I used to like were Geoff Crammonds Grand Prix (The first game in the now popular PC series) Indy 500 and Stunt car racer. How about Uridium for the C64? That was good.

I have played far too many videogames.

Didn't knew there was a sequel to another world... will check that!

Indy 500.... great racing game, loads of adjustments.... an engine sound(tone) that was that was really annoying on a pc speaker! much better on a state-of-the-art ad-lib sound card :P amazing crashes replay also!

I still play NBA Live 2000 (the one year it didn't suck), and Crash Team Racing. Both for PSX...

*cough, splutter, cough, hack*

Geoff Crammond's "Formula 1 Grand Prix" first came out on the A500!

Yes I had it on the A500, which I accidentally dropped out of the window last year. I still have 2 A1200's and a commodore 64 somewhere.

Famine you must've played Cannon Fodder (another sensible game) that was an awesomes game.

Yep. Didn't really enjoy it that much - and Cannon Fodder 2... What a waste of space that was.

Don't get Sensible Soccer for the PC - it's crappy isometric FIFA-type tripe.

Darkseed (visuals by HR Giger) was another good one. Speedball 2 (all time classic). And who can forget SWIV?

I was partial to Legend/Worlds Of Legend too.

*Listens to old mod file of Speeball 2's intro music*

I was teh crap at Sensi Soccer. Now SWIV I remember, you could be a helecoptor or a Jeep. I remember playing 2 player allot on that. Darkseed I can't remember that well. How about Alien Breed, that was pretty cool.

In Darkseed you had an alien embryo implanted in your head, and you had a limited amount of time until it hatched... The game play switched between two worlds - the real world and an alien world, both exactly the same, but one was covered in HR Giger type nastiness... (guess which :D).

SWIV (Silkworm 4...) was teh cool!

ALL old games, any platform... Go here:

I am gonna think on the old PC games now. The old Duke Nukem series, Death Rally, the old Doom series, and Rise Of The Triad rocked ass

Once in a while I would boot up my NES emulator and play some Super Mario Bros. (mostly 1 - I never really played 2 and 3 that much), Baseball All Stars (best baseball game ever :D), Mike Tyson's Punch-Out (best boxing game ever), and a little bit of everything else.

I wish I could revive my NES. I think I just need to replace the connector pin for the cartridges. Unfortunately, I traded in most of my games (including Punch-Out and Baseball All-Stars :() but I kept all my Mario games :).

Damn, I remember the good old days, when I would play Nintendo games every Saturday morning. The simplicity and fun of the NES era will be missed :(

old PC Games? emm, King Quest, Space Quest, Larry(They are resurrecting the series, a new one will be out soon...)LEMMINGS :D, the incredible machine, sim city

That is really sick and twisted man . . . I mean jeez at least this to those people before you kill them and write their tombstone. . .

I still have my old Atari, before it was called the 2600. I still play Night Driver, the very first game console driving game, and Kaboom!, Breakout, Adventure, Chess, Boxing, Pitfall, Pitfall II, River Raid, Barnstorming, Freeway, Space Invaders, Defender, Chopper Command and Starmaster.

I also still have my old Commodore 128. It was the model after the 64. I loved playing games like Montazuma's Revenge, Lazy Bone Jones, Route to India, Air Comabat Simulator, Leaderboard, Blizzard Attack, Yie-Ar(sp?) Kung Fu, Beach Head, Blue Max and one other game I can't recall the name of, but was similar to Beach Head.

But, my oldest game has to be my old hand held Classic Football II, and Classic Basball games made by Mattel. My 7 year-old boy loves them too. I once had an old Pac Man hand held, but my brother lost it when we lived in Holland. This hand held game looked just like an arcade game. If I remember correctly, Coleco made them.
