It does you know.

Anyway my dumbarse friend asher (Keeno_UK) swapped his copy of onimusha 2 for it (well because he finished onimusha 2 in 3 days flat  )

OMFG

Lets just say its great!
I was playing it with another friend and keeno_uk, its great fun. One good thing is that you can play the missions in co-operative 2 player mode, which adds an extra element of fun to it. The single player (or 2 player) missions are much improved over the first timesplitters installment, having actual objectives to accomplish, instead of the first games shoot all people, get item and leggit to the exit. Usually the missions are accompanied by sometimes funny, or rather hammy cutscenes. Although im not looking for the single player experience, rather the multiplayer one :D we tried 3 player deathmatches with 2 other top AI bots, who kept slaughtering us all the time. Weapons are great, you can make your own mission and deathmatch maps, loads of gameplay modes. Oh and if you have I.link (like I do :D ) you can play 16  yes 16! player timesplitters deathmatch, I just cant wait to link up 2 ps2`s to try 8 player timesplitters fun!

OMG this game is awwwwesome and I only played it for like 3 hours.

Although get it if you have friends, I think it would be boring for the single player aspect alone ;)

I only have the demo and it is one of the best FPS on PS2. I did not like Timesplitters 1, but number 2 really improved a lot. In the demo, you have to sneak into a Soviet controlled dam. It really took strategy like using your sniper rifle, peaking around corners, and distracting the guards to beat the mission. And it plays a lot like Goldeneye, which is a good thing.

I've been playing it too, and it truly is a great game. The best part is that it supports LAN play in addition to Ilink which means it will have a workaround solution to play on the internet (much the same way Halo was.)
I played the whole game in two player cooperative mode, and now I'm playing through the single player mode (and the league play.) I'm also glad to see some of the old maps returning, in addition to the new ones. What really kills me is how silky smooth it runs. Hopefully Free Radicals creates even more games in the future.

I cant wait to buy this on Friday it will be a blast :D

I also noticed that a few of the old levels were in the list but they werent unlocked yet. Really want to try my fav multiplayer level the chinese level in all its new newness. Also you can get some of the old characters that were in the first timesplitters, I want my chinese chef back, he was da man!

One thing that I really like is the influence that Halo has had on FPS lately. Red Faction 2 directly borrows Halo's health system, and TS2 borrows the idea of sticking grenades to the opponent. (Plasma rifle's secondary.)
I think that my favorite level is the cathedral at Notre Dame. Those stained glass windows (which all shatter :D) are nearly perfect.
The map maker is pretty good too, much better that I expected, and easy to use once I got into it.

OPSM2-UK - 10/10

Cube Magazine - 9.5/10

XGamer - 9.3/10

And it's on my Christmas list. Enough said.

Well except for the Monkey Assistant multiplayer mode (player in last place aided by gun-toting chimp).

I wondered what that mode was for!

I cant wait to get this game on friday and I cant wait to try the I.link on saturday. But its monday now so I will have to wait :(

I hate it when you play multiplayer with your friends and they always chose the monkey because he is so short that you have to aim down to shoot him. What's your favorite gun? Mine is a tie between the plasma automatic (i really like the exaust effects when it over heats) and the Homing rocket launcher.

The monkey is faaaast but weak.

The weapons, oh the chaingun is just sick now, same with that plasma rifle. Mind you I always like the classic killer (from timesplitters) the double double barreled shotguns, nothing like mowing down the monkey in 2 shots.

Quick question: What do we all think of the control method? I've got the default control method from the demo and I think it works perfectly.

What do you use?

Blah I use classic B (which was control C in the first timesplitters) without invert look.

BTW anyone try to make a level yet?

I did, it was quite fun and stupid, I put like 10 turrets in one room.

your level was mad race idiot if you fell in to the white light of death dat got irratating and remember when ben got banished to the room where you couldnt get out  now that was well funny all thoses other levels where just stupid

oh and onimusha 2 was hard but I am dat damn keen :)

Ben couldnt use the turret, because he sucked too much. And then the game banished him to the room of no exit
