Got to say this is starting to get out of hand. Everybody needs to take a deep breath and chill out. I know you guys are here because you are the fastest here and it all about bragging right and so on. But we all need to get our knickers untwisted. I dislike cheaters and I will put my hand up and say I did hack in gt5. I will also say that I will not be hacking in gt6. And for this bog/echeat/tree cheat we all need to calm down because it is making people not want to drag and tune for the fact they could beat someone fair and square and all of a sudden they cheat and hack. If you have an issue with someone pm them. Don't bring everyone else into it. "Rant over".

Holy balls this thread exploded. You all need to calm the 🤬 down. This is supposed to be some friendly competition. These boards aren't perfect but I'd love to hear suggestions of what to do to stop people from cheating.

I couldn't agree more with you on this, I am losing all that fire to even play GT6 let alone tune because of all of this drama, I dislike cheaters and hackers as much as the next guy but what I've learned is there isn't much we can do, even if we call someone on cheating or hacking it's not going to do anything, they will continue to do it time and time again, if they get banned they will just make a new account and do it again and again, there is no stopping it unless Sony starts banning IP's because if they just ban the PS3 itself that said person will just go buy a new PS3 and do it again and again. Sony can put up all of the double or triple encryption codes that they want but eventually someone will crack it.

To be honest Harry there is no way to stop people from cheating, that's like trying to take guns away, even if you somehow manage it people are still going to do it just like people are still going to sell guns on the street. Yes I know that was a horrible analogy but you get my point. I'm going to put money on it that in the future E-Cheating will become the norm at the rate it's going now, I still wont do it though because I want to remain true to drag racing, stay pure not be known as a cheater. But yeah on that note there is no stopping it, it's inevitable.

Information has become available to me that a certain member on here that has top spots on my board may be using illegal means to make his car faster. Outside of this leaderboard you can do whatever you want online, but when you claim spots on my leaderboard you agree to the rules I have set in place. NO SRF, NO E-CHEATING, NO HYBRIDS. I suggest this member (he knows who he is) be very careful from now on. Should I directly catch this person cheating when running for a spot on my board, all his spots will be deleted and his name removed.

Remember this is a game and all I want to do is have some fun with a structured online competition. If you feel you need to cheat in order to feel superior to others, I suggest you take your efforts elsewhere. You WILL get caught and you WILL be disqualified.


On a related note, I claim the Honda CITY Turbo II '83 and the Honda CIVIC TYPE R '08 :D
 
Those were among the most depressing posts I've ever read here or on any other forum. If I have to wade through another heap of that nonsense where you're all using textspeak to the fullest extent of your capabilities I'm handing out vacation tickets on general principle

One member is already gone, and it was almost three. Don't post like that here or anywhere else on GTPlanet again.

No one currently has that spot so I added you to the waitlist. After one week if no one challenges you, the top spot for the RX7 will go to you 👍

Here's how it works:

  1. Choose a car that you feel is fast enough to deserve a spot on the leaderboards. (For explanation purposes I'll choose a Nissan GT-R '09)
  2. Take a look at the current leaderboards and see if someone had already claimed the spot for the fastest GT-R.
  3. If no one has yet claimed the top spot, send a PM to me or one of the officials notifying us that you have a car you wish to be posted on the leaderboards but the current top spot is vacant. You are then put on a waitlist for one week. This means that if a week goes by and no one else comes and challenges you with the GT-R, the top spot goes to you.
  4. If someone has already has the top spot for the GT-R, you will have to challenge them and beat them online in order for you to have the title of "Fastest GT-R". To challenge someone, simply reply to this thread in the following format:
    I, (your username) challenge (username of current champion) for the spot of fastest (full name of the car you will be racing for)
  5. The residing champion now has one week to race you or he is disqualified and you will automatically become the new champion.
  6. Once you two make it in a room, this is how the competition will work.
  1. Along with the current champion and the challenger there needs to be three other people on the track as well. One neutral ghost that both racers agreed upon (does not have to be an official), and two judges at the end of the track to decide who won should there be any disagreements. The judges do have to be officials.
  2. Should there be any spectators, they need to go to the pits or spectate. There should now only be 5 live cars on the track.
  3. Current champion has lane choice for the first race ONLY. After that whoever wins each race has lane choice for the next race. Winner is best 3/5*.
* Should a race be too close to call, the judges can call for a rerun.
6. After race is finished, the officials will let me know who won and I will update the leaderboards accordingly.
