One thing that I still don't understand to this day: how come people from the US can race for and claim spots on the Euro leaderboard, that would imply that said person has the fastest of whatever car in Europe but how exactly does it work if a US guys holds the spot? Technically said person doesn't have the fastest of whatever car in Europe because he lives in the US therefore it's invalid in my opinion. I've raced for and won a few spots on the Euro leaderboard and I even claimed a few spots on the Euro leaderboard but I live in the US, can someone please explain to me how exactly this makes sense?

That made my brain hurt haha

Hmm it makes no sense to claim for a region you don't live in unless there was some form of global leaderboard. In order to hold the title for a car on the global leaderboard, you have to first hold the title for that car on all the different region leaderboards.

Hasn't it always been this way though? Euro guys claiming and racing for spots on the US boards and vice versa, I don't believe there is a rule against it I am just curious as to why there isn't. It just makes no sense. On a side note is the leaderboard even active and valid anymore?

You could be right, I just don't know as I don't participate with these leaderboards. It seems kind of flawed to allow someone who is not in that region to claim a title there.

I think the whole point to the leaderboards being region dependent should be to show who is the fastest in that region.

But hey if you can claim a victory of a challenge without judges, why not claim a title outside your region too.

I don't really care much for the leaderboards either which is why I have no idea about how this works. The only reason I even started participating was to challenge myself a little bit more seeing as how most of the faster American's don't play anymore I run with Euro guys now and I have to say it is a lot more fun and challenging to tree off a Euro ghost not to mention there are a lot of really cool and laid back people in the Euro community, H*** Euro guys are the reason I started tuning all of these 100hp cars lol, thanks to @a3picGamer47 for that one, well him and total and utter boredom.

Not much for leaderboards, but I like @jezboosted 's idea of earning all the regions titles, then earning the world title.
It could be difficult to maintain a world ranking with the potential of anyone knocking you off the top.

I do need to get involved some more in Drag Racing. I can honestly count the regular GTP'ers on one hand, that I have raced.

Andrew
O.G.
Danny
King
And Hyper(mainly DN but still)

Right, so it's now the official unofficial and unofficialed leader boards. 👍

Seems legit.

Haha, I agree. Let's not forget the days of taking a picture of your t.v screen to officialise your spot on the unofficial official unofficialed leaderboards.

Just got to work with what you've got.

What we had previously was far more scrutinized and certainly much more transparent than this. It had far more cred to it, with greater participation accordingly.
Certainly ruled out wannabes posting times using equipment that enhanced ones launch. A certain 9.116 GTS comes to mind.
Perhaps you are just a little upset you didn't feature in it much.

And I am working with what I got, half a room full of mates..... seems like a good way to measure my tunes.

Clearly you fell victim of @PTK photoshop skills in regards to that Viper GTS.

You must've been one of the many we fooled into tuning for the mythical "3B Launch". Good times, good laughs. 👍

No no no, 3B is real. It stands for Bamboozle Bruce Beach. It worked, therefore it is a thing.

I was far from fooled, you threw down a 9.115 in your GTS, clutch assisted.
Posted a pic on here to gloat about it, around the same time as your old mate Famine(T51R) was doing the same.
Imagine what my legit 9.123 would have done.

Now them was the some really good times, when trolls got there just desserts.

:D Glad our trolls affected you on a much larger scale for you to come up with that conspiracy theory.

Damn illumidardi!

Wow... I'm in tears. That was so funny to read! Seriously.... Thank you.

Edit: I can't get over your post, LOL! Just imagining you pulling this face coming up with that theory kills me!!!!!!!
PWOAH!

Alright, here we go... *deep breath*

I claim the viper SRT10 ACR 08 spot on the european leaderboard.

You have to race me for that bro ;)

Raced @Gucci alam and @levitt1991. Levitt won Gucci 3-0 and Levitt beat me 3-1. Good runs guys

@jdiaz092009 i challenge you for the z06 spot

Updated.

@Yobanky i claim that spot for the supra RZ 97

@VQPRO has that spot.

Ain't no officials from our neck of the woods.
Without them, a win isn't legal tender..... Says so in the rules.

No officials needed if both racers come on here and confirm the results. OP updated.

No officials are needed if both people post here the outcome of the race.

You don't have to live in said region to have the fastest car in said region. Think of regions as places where the racing takes place, not where the racers are from. Europeans racing in Europe have a inherit connection advantage but that doesn't prevent someone from the US from being faster than them. I suggest sticking to your own region not only to make my job easier but prevent connection quality being the deciding factor in who has the fastest spot.

Some housekeeping notes:

  1. Discuss scheduling conflicts via PM's. Took me 20+ min to sift through 5 pages of gibberish looking for results. Use this thread for challenging people, claiming spots, asking technical questions and posting results.
  2. Be very detailed in your posts. If your going to challenge someone, tag them, post which region they are in and post the FULL car name.
  3. READ OP. Some of you haven't quite got the idea of how this works and many of your questions will be answered in the OP.

I'm kind of understanding it a little better, thanks @Harry6784, I guess I was looking at it in the wrong way. I am really only taking part in the Euro leaderboard to challenge myself and better my tree, as well as out of sheer boredom with GT6, I'd say I'm not doing to bad at all, I can tree Euro guys on a Euro ghost but it's a lot harder and requires more focus and less blinking lol.

This week I'd like to claim the following spots on the Euro leaderboard:

McLaren F1 Stealth Model
Jaguar XJ220 '92
Ford RS200 '84
Lamborghini Murcielago LP-640 '09
Honda NSX GT500 Stealth Model

I'd also like to challenge @Gucci alam for the SLR McLaren '09, Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (C6) '06, and Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (C6) '09.

I'd like to claim the (Premium) Nissan Skyline Gtr V-spec Nur II (R34) '02, Nissan Skyline gtr V-spec N1 (R34) '99 and the Nissan Gtr Black Edition '12 on the European Board please.
