EERS4YEARS was following behind me in one of the race and had PM me regarding oversteer. He had mentioned that I might have apply my throttle too early. Maybe I should shift at a lower RPM. hopefully this would make my Vette less of a tail happy monster.

Thanks for the heads up Clacksman. I'll try that tonight when I get home.

You might also try running a higher gear in the curves where you're getting the wheelspin/oversteer. Like I said, the Z06/Tuned is stout at 4000 rpm.

JPRO01 and myself are pretty laid back when it comes down to personality. We enjoy this game quite a bit. To quote Jpro01 "It's just not fun when you suck!!!":sly: And I can't agree with him more.

I will take your advice and try to upshift at a much lower RPM Clacksman. Somethings gotta give damnmit, and it's not gonna be me. I love this game too much. Plus it is looking like GT5 is heading toward this direction of higher PP anyhow. Must get better to stay competitive.....:sly:

Thanks for all of your input everyone. I won't disappoint I promise...lol

I endorse this.👍

I touched 1:56.999 in the Vette/T myself, but possibly with draft from a lapper heading towards Spoon. Work to be done there before Tuesday, indeed. Maybe I'll even touch the chassis which is still on what I used for HSR 650pp open, save the weight/power/tire jiggering.:dopey:

FAK
Thank you guys,i'll try to make a video tomorrow...meanwhile,here is the z06's replay

Cheers FAK 👍 I just watched your lap and its pretty damn smooth whilst being right on the edge of the Vette's limits no doubt! ... thanks for posting it 👍
I did notice that you only use 4 gears like myself on the Vette but the difference being is your car floats around the track gracefully and mine is somewhat erratic haha 👍

Thanks for putting up a great ghost to have a few laps against also
Cheers
Ron.

edit: Took some time off my Vette lap chasing FAK's ghost and maintaining some better exit speeds :P ;)

Thanks again bud 👍

1:43.163 in free run, R2 tires

1:43.096 during a race in front all by myself, same setup.

However, I unofficially ran a 1:42.xxx on my last lap of the race, but the times disappeared too fast and I didn't catch the last three numbers. :(

I started using this tune last night and broke into the 57 time:tup:. Pretty excited about it. Just can't see how these guys managed to get into the low 1'56' though:crazy:.

This is what I'm talking about......👍 Instant response....:sly:

I'm confused about the shift @ 6000RPM though:dunce:. The reason for this is? I'm not shifting at 6000RPM. Is this the reason as to why I can't break the 56 barrier??????:banghead:

Because in order to run the grippier tyres and higher downforce the power needs to be downgraded, which means there is power drop-off @ higher rpm, I've tested numerous shift points and for my tune at least 6,000 was the best. The gear ratios are also optimised to the power band in my tune.

my fastest in free run so far was a 1.56.872 with the Tuned Corvette

Chris

And 4th was your best ever finish?! Nice lap man.👍

1:42.845 no slipstream.

Damn I love this car.👍

That's a damn sight faster than the TVR I tested.;)

Managed a 1'56.666 in the Corvette/tuned at Suzuka 750pp. I'm using the TLD-R C6 Cup car tune.;) Great tune Paulie, still a few tenths left for me. But definetely not a 55.

Free run | Corvette Tuned | GTP_aussienicko - 1'56.822

A few more tenths to shave off, but so far so good. :)

For T1 and T3 best Paulie tuning but it is some kind slow in T2.

Compared to? My close ratio 5spd and handling setup might hurt that traction at the hairpin, but I've always found my Vette extremely capable at Spoon.👍

Mostly FAK's tune and a couple of tiny adjustments ... namely the back tyres  👍

No,tuning is best but Spoon is only problem:indiff:
Compared to Dutch Customs.
I will use your tune for Event 3.

Thanks FAK for the base tune for the 'vette  ...tweaks here and there and got

1'55.848

We'll see in the coming days if there's more.
