I've just taken the time to read oh, the last 5 or 6 pages and I find it interesting that WE ALL get frustrated and at times we all become the "punter" (if only in our hearts) with very few exceptions. It's only human nature I suspect that when the frustration level becomes so great we want to strike back.
I have no doubt that 95% of those with GTP tags are better and cleaner drivers than 99% of the drivers we meet. We all have our own styles of driving and we all have egos and tempers. It's the GTP tag that keeps me from going ape**** bananas sometimes, especially when I'm the only one out there with it. Call it an old mans perspective, but when I'm the only GTP out there I represent all of you, whether I like it or not. Whether you like it or not.
Are we going to make mistakes? You bet, and I am going to run into someone for any number of reasons. Lack of concentration, bump drafted, punted, bad decision making, trying to avoid some idiot who hasn't a clue, the list goes on and on. What I can tell you is that it won't be intentional because I have too much respect for anyone flying our "colors" and I'll not do it to non GTP racers for the same reason.
Apologies are fine, but doesn't some of the contact here come under the heading of "racing." Wouldn't it be better to PM each other and settle it "out of court?" Yes, we should be made aware of the persistent idiot and input here helps in avoidance of those idiots but we should also be more appropriate to our fellow GTP'ers. Just MHO..........here's where the "badboy" steps down off the soap box.
