I was playing around with my horsepower for that vette so I didnt start in last everytime, a few of those races I dropped it to 501 (less than a stock Z06 BTW) and I wasn't even breaking 2:08s so I put it back to 507 and next race 2:05s. Crazy how 6 hp does that.

I just had a race with Earth and DTW and I was a good 5 seconds up on the field and due to lack of concentration twice I managed a 4th with a best lap of 2:13.xxx :(

Nope, that was me. If its the race I am thinking of. I tapped you, and you spun. Tried to get on the brakes quick enough, but got'cha. That is why I stopped and let you go ahead of me. Then I couldn't get anything going.

Sorry to everyone. I was trying some new settings. Obviously did not work. :yuck: Catch up with you all later.

BTW, Slicecom, you looked to be much faster then the last time I raced you! 👍 Except for in the esses. :sly: ;) You can send me the settings for that beast if you want to. :D

Haha I don't even remember that. Was it near the beginning of the race? I thought he was talking about Spoon corner on the last lap. Or maybe it was you and I just didn't hear your car. Ive been using the roof cam (no rear view) because I find the GT hard to drive from the dash cam (which is the view I drive every other car in).

Yeah I've improved the car a little and adjusted my driving style A LOT. It took me a while to adapt to the GT, but I've got it now. I was used to using my F430 in 700pp but when they switched to 750pp I was forced to find a new car. The first few nights of me in the GT (probably what you're referring to) were brutal! :lol:
 
I just managed to pull a 2:02.672 at suzuka out of my butt with the vette. Best lap I've ever done by over 3 seconds

EDIT: managed a new best as edited above.
 
Agh! I think I'm doing well... and then I go too hard into 130r and its race over. Twice. I guess 750pp is 750pp for a reason.

@ Earth - sorry about the pit maneuver after the hairpin. I didn't notice the traffic jam until it was too late. Didn't really matter, since you won after all, but just thought I'd apologize anyway.

You're talking about that 3-4 car pileup? That was NUTS! I was behind the both of you and saw it happen. Before that even happened I gave Earth a little boost and he got by you on the last of the esses (the left-hander before the little straight leading to the two rights)
 
Yeah, I just saw a couple of cars start to spin, and there wasn't much I could do. The Blitz doesn't have great accel, and once it's off-line, its really hard to correct, especially with a GT right alongside. At least I beat the white vette that liked to push me off the track.

certatainly not your fault, guy spun out of chicane I couldn't drive around so I hit the brakes instead of trying to drive through him

Need help!!! people in the F2007 races are pitiful! can't even handle the no traction for 1. and the other thing is, High Speed ring, they just ram it into turn 1...Need some fellow GTP_ Racers at fuji now!!
 
I know how you feel - the F2007 is impossible with a sixaxis/ds3, and that's what most people use. I raced you yesterday with the pad, and it didn't turn out very well for me at all. BTW, there are GTP members on Suzuka 700 and 750 quite often. If you want a good race, you could try there.

I don't find it that hard to use with the controller. I'm doing what I consider to be decent lap times in it.
 
im here now waiting for the 10:00 600pp race and high speed ring...

I find it very, very, very responsive, which is expected of an F1 car. Also, the tunnel in the High Speed Ring keeps you from seeing the right hander, and timing that right throws me off sometimes. From the other racers I've seen, most are all over the place on that track. It's good that you can handle it pretty well, but if most people are like me, they probably have some trouble with it.
 
I have been using it for years. Thur GT3 - Nascar 06 to F1 to this game. This summer I will upgrade to a wheel.

The huge problem I have with it is being able to control the throttle response, and braking balance, and steering..well its just huge sore, but I do very well with it. I can post fast hot laps with it.

Yeah same here man. I will run TCS off on HSR only with the F2007. I don't go below 5th gear in the S turns.
 
That race was really good from lap 2 to lap 4 when there was 9 of us within two seconds. Loved that pass L_Hamilton on turn 2 ;)
 
lol..I was trying to give as much room as possible and somehow I got it..lol..welp now just waiting for 600pp suzuka..that should be a good race!
 
I'm not sure why anyone would use a GT-R 07 in a 600pp race. The guy L_Hamilton, myself and CWR was racing was punt-master-guru I tell you what.
 
geez I feel really bad for CWR because right when I looked out the back of my window I see the side of his car in the sand...man..los th the race at the end at 130r when I let him pass and he still ran way wide and threw me out all the to 5th..ugh..next..750pp at High speed Ring..

yeah I'm down with that, Earth..

Have you watched the replay of the guy with the top time in the time trials? Pulls the e-brake at turn 2 and manages a 1:02 :banghead:

Completely unreal..I wish I could do that..I'll just end up all dizzy from the millions of spins i'll be in ..lol
