the punting is bad tonight!!

sorry about that last race that was cut short Moose, i got nailed from behinde and into you...its rough out there tonight!
We were all getting slammed around!
That Vince33on & Kevin01sh were real turds along with more than a few others.

Thanx for the win Moose GTP !,2,3...sweet
You would have passed me in a couple of spots but backed off because it would have been tight so you deserved it!

Good morning Gentalmen. I will be following the Race time's today switching every 30 minutes. I will try to be on around 12 AM Cntrl (1 EST).

Some quick questions i have noticed while racing....Some of the races take you just about 10 minutes to complete them. I was in a race @ Suzuka 500 or 600 PP i believe with Panandrum and we didnt get to move onto the next race until :32 after. The 30 or seconds to join a race, then the 30 seconds after for ppl to finish, sometime's close to a minute to join if its going slow. Does anyone thing we should move the race back maybe 3 or 5 mniutes if its a quick race? i know some races take only 53 minutes or about that to complete 3 races. Only reason i ask this, is when we go past the :30 minute mark to join the next race then we lost our chance's to play with other GTP'ers.

The schedule is clear and consice. I don't think its fair for the people that are trying to sync up with us. Say 5 of us are racing and we go over the 30 mins allowed per event then its our fault for getting out of sync with the schedule.

To combat this I just leave the event early so I can get to the next one ontime.

Sorry Spyhunter, didn't mean to take you out in chicane. I waited for you at the finish but I think you quit the race. Awesome races other than that! Great 3 way battles between you, me and shortcut!

Wow a lot of punters tonight!
I tried some bump drafting with putty (I hope my experiment didn't freak you out!)to see if I could keep us ahead of them but they caught me anyhow.

No freak out here, I was having a laugh, it was rough out there, but we still had some good runs.

I will be on again in a bit.

wow i didnt race 1 GTP member the whole day! :(

Yeah nobody is really following the schedule. I noticed alot of NTSC drivers run 750pp Suzuka so I join race after race and quit race after race (as long as I'm not host) until I find someone but it gets boring after a while trying to find someone from GTP. And when you find them the typical horrible race happens 4 times out of 6, punting, quitting, lag, you know.

This is getting very depressing. To me this game is like a 2008 car that has no power windows and no cup holders. It lacks basics that you expect a modern game to have from the get go, not in some update that is promised to happen 6+ months down the road.

I'm not going to torture everyone with another long rant. Just want to say I had a great time racing CWR, slicecom, and imopars among others, but to me GT5P has become a bad game that just isn't very fun anymore. Because of that I will be spending a very limited time online, mostly to just participate in any special events like the tuner challenge. I have no doubts, sadly, that others will soon join me in seriously cutting back the amount of time they spend online in GT5P. Kind of sad, I had high expectations of GT5P.

I hear ya Earth. Hopefully the update will fix the major online issues, if not the they better fix them in GT5! I still enjoy racing online, had some great battles tonight and made some new friends.

I admit, I'm one of those who doesn't follow the schedule. I do 95% 750PP Suzuka and 5% F2007 Fuji. I can't believe they took Daytona Road out of online! :ouch: The original schedule was so much better (not any fault of Earths, just the fault of Polyphony's for this horrible circuit revision).

Despite its many flaws, I find myself playing GT5 almost exclusively, even though within the past few weeks I've bought GTA4, Mario Kart, Echochrome and the COD4 Map pack! The update still can't come soon enough though.

My interest level in online GT5P has dropped in the past week and I essentially only play it now for time trials. It's similar to how I treated the JPN version until the Spec II update came out. Too frustrating with "the boost" and dirty drivers right now.

Back to the PC sims, I suppose. :)

Typical weekend bash fest for the most part, I got so tired of Kevin01sh & Take1taka bashing everything that came close to them I took a break to get out of sync with them!
Unfortunately I also got out of sync with Drama-Kyd & GTP_PlusP who I was having some good races with.

Once I got away from the bashers I had several good races before getting in with the hosts quitting in the 2nd lap over & over!:grumpy:

Weekends are just a crapshoot.

That Kevin01sh needs some racing lessons. Wish I could get his IP so I could forever ban him from racing with me again. I apologize to whom ever I hit on Suzuka 750pp last night (early this morning). I'm normally better than that, but was quite angry with certain so called drivers who felt the need to plow there way through us racers. I just gave up on it earlier than I normally do because I couldn't focus like I needed to. Once again I'm sorry.

Yeah nobody is really following the schedule.

When I race I often follow the schedule. Thing is, I'm not good at Suzuka, so I don't join in there very often, and I usually avoid Daytona Oval because the drivers there are so awful. So, this means HSR for me.

I've also been trying out Daytona Road course 700pp in intermediate - but I have a very hard time switching between physics models. It really screws me up when a car handles two entirely different ways...

Yeah, Kevin01sh and coachcabbage are the worst drivers that I seem to end up racing on a consistent basis. I don't know if they think that's how they're supposed to race, or if they really are intentionally racing like complete douches, but its very annoying.

Kevin01sh is the same guy that said I was constantly in his way yet I've won every races I've been with him in  Go figure, he could not handle his Z06 Tuned for peanuts.

Hey Earth,

Try your luck with the live chat. That way you won't be waiting for GTP members..

At first I was like, "what the h@!!". But I figured it was an honest mistake. I did bump you a little as well. No worries. Then you gave me the other race, lol. I tried to stop, to stop you, but didn't get on the binders fast enough. LOL.

Who is PS-CITY? Damn, that guy is FAST. One race he blew my doors off. The other, I was able to stick with him in the esses, so that I could draft him down the back straight. Still got beat, but was right there. I can't imagine how bad it would have been if I was in the S2K. I have the Vette in a sweet spot now. Only a few minor tweeks, and it should be as good as I can imagine it.

Also, there as another guy in a tuned Z06... mk70 or lmk70, or something. He was a great racer, too. Very quick. Had some good battles with him as well. Wish I could remember the name. Did a mass buddy invite this morning. Wanted him on it. Oh well.

Panjandum, what is your PSN? Want to add you to the list.

Oh, and punters were everywhere. But still got in some epic races.

Haha well I owed you a win. Now we're even. ;)

i dont intentionally plow through anyone, at the start of the race it seems everyone goes so slow through that first turn and sometimes i dont hit the brakes hard enough. trust me i get banged around a lot too, its frustrating. i can handle my car just fine, thats why most of the time you see me near the top. Most of the time im usually faster through those s-bends and its hard for me to let off the gas knowing im faster than the guy in front of me, but ill try to tone it down a bit. sorry if i pitted anyone on here all i can say is its not intentional

DK & Div, You guys give up too easily sometimes. That guy Bryde was out knocking everyone off,, I know i saw him take you out Div, he got me too first time i tryed to pass him. But i saw you sitting in the sand watching the race. I was in 10th going by to the start of the last lap, and i managed to win. I know that when Div is in front hes just about uncatchabe so i know you gave away not just a victory but a chance to pass Bryde on your way to do it.

I have had some fun runs though, getting punted off in the first lap & ending up dead last (I don't know why I always end up backwards against a wall!) but fighting my way back to 1st or 2nd.

I tried the bump draft one time playing someone from GTP. I think I freaked them out because after we finished, he pulled aside on the next race. :(

I notice that when grouped up front with one other fast driver, the negative boost doesn't seem to take as strong of an effect as if you were alone up front. Probably due to the drafting you have with another racer. It's only when you are the only one out front that the negative boost will hit you hard.

Yea, after getting punted or just my own error, I always try my best to finish. If the error happens early enough in the race, like in the first lap, I think it's plenty of time to recuperate from it and get back in. :) I wish more quitters would attempt to get back on the course instead of quitting and killing the game for some of the rest of us still racing.

Kevin01SH put a pretty nasty sideswipe on me at the back stretch of Suzuka 750PP the other day when I tried to fly past him after he had been slowed, CudaMan was right behind us when it happened, not sure if he saw it.

looks like i have a few fans out there, i had no idea i was making such an impact

The reason you are near the front is you punt everyone in front of you to pass them & you sideswipe anyone trying to pass you or you punt them at the next corner!!

I've had dozens of races with you at Suzuka 750pp & you always are punting people off in the first turn & the esses.
Since you usually have a 745pp on your vette you start well ahead of me in my 749pp S2000 but even if I can't see your car I know exactly where you are by the dirt flying from the cars you punted off!
Every time I put a clean pass on you I get punted off by you in the next corner, I've been sideswiped by you on the straights!
In all those races you have never once made a clean pass on me!
You are consistently the worst punter I race with on a regular basis.

The worst part is you are fast, after you punt me off I have to drive hard to catch back up to you, well that & dodge all the other cars you send spinning off the track!

Seriously, clean up your act & be patient, you don't have to pass everyone in the first 1/2 lap, think about all the times I won the race after being punted into last place by you at the first turn.
Since you are posting on here I will give you another chance but you keep driving me or anyone else like you have been & I will start making pre-emptive strikes on you & oppose you getting a GTP_tag.

i did. i then tryed to give you a bump pass him to even things out, but i dont think i hit you strait on, i might have knocked you worse...

I don't recall what happened after that, just being charged into when I tried to pass him initially. I know you gave me a couple bumps from behind in later laps or later races though.

I think that may also have been when I slowed at the finish line to give the race back to you, as I knew you would have easily had me had you not bumped me.

I had a pretty good night out there. Tried taking the Ford GT (road car) around HSR in 600pp at 10:00pm (on N3s), and think it might be possible to hold your own in that configuration. Unfortunately I got taken out early on in that race and had to claw my way back up to a fairly close 3rd. Switched to the Ferrari 512 and had several good clean races after that, although I did see at least one GTP player get take out behind me by a rogue Clio driver...

All in all a good day here. Even Daytona Oval seemed a bit calmer. I managed three races earlier in the morning with zero purposeful punting - allowing me to squeak in a couple of wins in my Tuned Elise, which I always thought was doable if I could only avoid being hit by another driver.

a lot of this is my inexperience, i just started racing suzuka a week ago. im trying to brake down when my opponent does but its hard to time and at the same time i dont wanna lose my momentum. i dont want to piss anyone off, but i guess im just too aggressive. i hate driving in traffic b/c i pay more attention to the drivers than the road so i miss my brake points. thats why i feel i have to zoom past everyone so i can concentrate
